An unfortunate review from a Katherine Local visiting family.

Off season and $300+ a night!

Walking into the room I first noticed the bandaid covering the light on the aircon unit, walked into the second room same thing. Our bedroom also had large cobwebs, The bathroom ledge was dirty and food left in the cupboard. Bed sheets in the the main room had stains also. When my Husband kindly told them for $300 a night it would be nice to atleast have a clean room not much was done about it till the next day!
Looking forward to a good night's sleep elsewhere without the constant scratching.

The pool was filthy also.

This is such a shame I came back home to see family and didn't have the best experience with our stay.

Terribly sorry for the bad review but unfortunately this could have been avoided.

So as for the availability on the internet and the actual Park itself. Great!

But the people running it. Well, I don't know of I'd call it hospitable or friendly.

I ended up in Ka NT Police station after being told by them that I had threatened to kill the staff.

I made many attempts to get my money back after being told I'd be refunded and then messed around.

I have a court date now so I hope whoever else goes there is with an ethical mentality and has an awsome time.

Earth is a great place.
I feel as though we are living in a parallel universe.

Spacious, leafy campground with clean, well maintained facilities. The pool is big, shady and cool. A nice little scene happens at the bistro in the evenings when they put candles on the tables, play music (live when we were there), and people drift in from the campground and town to eat under the stars. The food is good, they have a couple of nice pre-made cocktails, and the service is friendly and efficient, managing the good number of diners very well.

Excellent family self-contained cabins. Green grass, flat ground. Modern well-equipped. Kids enjoyed the go-kart and the pool.

Highly recommended.
We have stayed here twice in the last 2 months. Both times the staff and managers have been beyond helpful and accommodating. Large shady sites, clean amenities and huge pool for a nice refresh. Shout out to Allen who allocated us in a beautiful shagy site when our little doggy was sick.

Good caravan park, nice and clean, good facilities, grass, nice pool.

Lovely big open park with lots of shade. Just far enough away from town. Great cafe/bar/restaurant on site. Nice staff. Pool. Dump point. All good.
Ps if you arrive late (ie after 5) like we did, you can't book on line, so just take a spot n fix it up with the office next morning.

I am a Big 4 member. After I had paid for the night, I queried if I was given my discount. I was told by the receptionist that as I hadn’t told her that I was a member she didn’t apply the discount, I would not be given a refund.
Is that honest, after paying to be a member!

Great caravan park. Lots of shady sites.
Great pool and delicious meals at the restaurant.
You may need a long power cord or two to reach the power box.

$63 per night. Power off for half the day. Water off as well, then when the water did come back on, the pressure was so low that it would not come through the inside caravan taps. Had to use our caravan tank water, then try to refill from the tap outside. Disastrous stay at this park. Do not come here.

Beautiful friendly reception. All day shade site for us. A big pool and the bistro setting is simply magical! We loved our stay, thank you!

Had a wonderful few nights here in a campervan. Powered sites were spacious and shady. Love the greenery and number of trees on the property. There is amenities including a camp kitchen, coin laundry and iron. Pay a visit the the Big Fig Bistro. Honest food and a brilliant garden setting.

Safe spot for sure, big spaces, limited kitchenette, no fridge in the one camp kitchen we were at. The bbq area was spotless and the showers & toilets super clean however the water pressure was low in the mornings which was disappointing. They had a veg man come round every afternoon on a ute which was a really lovely touch, very convenient, also a restaurant was located on the campsite unfortunately no vegan options other than chips. On the more expensive side of camping, heaps of shade though.

Always a pleasant place to stop for several days to tour around from or just washing and general house maintenance.very pleasant reception on arrival.close enough to town with out bthe bustle.

Lovely meal. Good service.
All outside so take the necessary warmth if needed. Lovely lighting. Like fairyland.

Quiet and clean with plenty of space and large sites.

Amenities are very clean and the on-site restaurant is very good.

Pool is cold in June/July!

No kids playground but our kids enjoyed the space.

Great park. Big sites. All amenities great very well maintained. Had dinner at the Big Fig Bistro which was very nice. Would recommend booking for dinner. Friendly staff and very helpful.

Great park. Nice big grassy sites mostly in shade. Good restaurant and bar area. Nice pool. Good place to stop when in Katherine.

Omg we had heard such bad things about staying in Katherine but stayed here and from check.in to check out the place was fabulous.clean big and airy beautiful location staff were excellent.if we could have stayed longer we would have.highly recommended this place and Katherine was just lovely
