62What a disgrace. Refusing to serve people that aren't part of the experimental medical trial. How Un Australian. Just because the government makes new rules doesn't mean they're law.
We had a beer and a great lunch at this famous pub. Such a great place to stop in on a hot day.
A must stop if traveling on the Arnhem Highway. Call in to have a beer at the iconic NT pub. Friendly service funny locals and you have to buy the merchandise we got a singlet and stubby holders …. Every bogan tourist needs them. Interesting place
One of those awesome aussir pubs. Full of atmosphere character and charm. Great food cold beer live entertainment. Great avo.
1st time here a few months ago takeaway took over 35 minutes to arrive and was luke warm. We had one of those buzzer things but it never went off.
Next time here it took them 25 mins to inform us that one of the takeaway meals was not available. We had to wait another 15 mins for both meals.
Seems someone needs re-training.
Also how about posting the menu on the website.
Unfortunately our experience was soured by the bar tender who was extremely rude and refused to provide my mother in law with a glass of water because she wasn't wearing a mask. My mother in law has COPD and emphysema and was puffed by the short walk to the bar. She is exempt from the requirement to wear a mask because of her conditions.
The bar tenders rude attitude and lack of choices in the lunch menu were sufficient for us to go elsewhere.
Love this place, very rustic. Foods great, the girls are friendly and beer is cold. There is a shop you can buy t-shirts, singlets, stubby holders etc. You can sit out in the verandah with your children and dogs, but they are not allowed near the bar.
This is a great place - If you would like to be treated as a person NOT a robot. Country Curtsey & Conversation still seems to live here. I personally have not been here. I rang from Qld and arranged a over the phone payment for a round of drinks for special family members that were visiting. The staff member that took my call was more then happy to accommodate my rather strange request after confirming it with the manager. Thank You Humpty Doo Hotel. I hope to make it there in person one day!
Beers were nice and cold, great atmosphere, staff were lovely, classic iconic pub. Croc ‘burger’ wasn’t worth the hype though - came out on turkish pide, patty was small and tasted bland.
Great staff with people skills and excellent service the food was outstanding and delicious thank you
Nice meal. Was there 8th February 2021 for a Litchfield Women in Business function with Eileen Breen as guest speaker, great lady.
Pretty disappointed with our visit tonight! Made a reservation because we knew with the fight it would be busy, arrived on time to find our reserved table taken, normally wouldn’t have been an issue. Got given another table that was also reserved for someone else, the other party then walks in and were given another table also reserved for other people who walked in after them. So they rush people who had only just finished eating outside (in the rain) to be able to seat the third reserved group. Ok not so bad we all eventually got seated, then came the food and well what can I say, it was mediocre at best, oysters were canned and shells had been washed so many times the bottoms were smooth and had very little sauce on them thought ah well they don’t have fresh oysters on menu so can’t really complain, then came the mains, ugh, slow cooked beef with gravy, mash and veggies, well was supposed to be anyway, what I got was slow cooked beef with a dry jacket potato no sour cream or anything and what looked to be a whole can of peas not one other veggie in sight! Mums spud at least had a bit of sour cream on hers. Not very impressed at all and will go somewhere else next time! Used to be a great feed at this hotel and now it’s just average and very disappointing for the price we paid!
A must visit when working in the NT on your day off.
Great beer or is it because of the hot day. Good food.
They sell a Top "T" Shirt there.
Very rude bar staff owners need to know.so rude 8 of us left were ment to have lunch there no one deserves to be treated like that
Food's average and over-priced for what you get; service is okay; clean and tidy and gets a good flow-thru of trade but could do with a renno.hasn't changed in years and can't take your dog; plenty REAL Australian Pubs in the Territory and elsewhere to drink and get a feed but not this one.
This place is a Territory legend.
No air-conditioning, but plenty of ceiling fans inside and on the verandah.
They have a large pub menu, with weekly and daily specials. A roast and live music on Sundays.
American Express cards are accepted
Great place for a stop over! Real Australia pub with pool table pub food and even the tab for you gamblers. Lots of beer selections! Also live bands and prizes you can win. Recommended if you want to mix with the locals and an Australia experience you won’t forget.
Awsome venue for live music absolutely fantastic, The staff and the Tucker EXCELLENT guaranteed to have a great time no matter the day u visit. Hope to see u soon at the DOO.
Overweight barmaid extremely rude with attitude use to be a great pub unfortunately now some staff let it down
Great place to stop for lunch after the Adelaide Jumping Croc Adventure.
Beers are ice cold and the food was amazing - sooo big. Try the trio burgers you won't be disappointed.
Only downside, the pub has no memorabilia. No history on the walls. Pubs make small towns and it's good to see the history.
