Perfect location in the heart of Darwin. Great quality rooms close to the night life, the water front, and even the Mindil market and casino. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately the customer service was pretty bad. I asked for two beds in my booking and they only gave 1 bed then blamed me.
The room got cleaned once in 3 nights.

Hotel not bad. View good. Location good. Food good. Service NOT good. Wanted to swap a booking night 5 days out but they wouldn't let me even though they confimed their hotel was at 75% capacity on the night I wanted to swap to. They said because I booked through Qantas it has nothing to do with them, even though it is about a booking at their hotel. And they refused to contact Qantas for me. Oh well. Hopefully this bad rating will help them get over these problems for future customers.

Upon arrival we were asked to pay a $100 ‘bond’ for the room, which was not mentioned at all while booking through the Qantas website, however we obliged. First we were placed into room 130. As soon as we entered the room the beautiful view of the cracking concrete car park opposite the hotel was just the beginning of the nightmare that was the H Hotel. After walking around the room we noticed that there was mould in the picture frames and the arms of the armchair had turned from red to black due to the dirt over the years.

The second room we were placed in, 202, was slightly better on first glance, however the mouldy picture frame and glorious concrete views remained. Throughout our four night stay in the room the highlights have to be four power trips caused by the hotels own iron (timed perfectly just before going out), no exhaust in the bathrooms, a loud humming coming from the fridge and one of the lights, and lastly a nicely timed waterfall sound coming from the air conditioner at 12: 21 AM each day.

The hotel is quite misleading as online it looks quite modern and wellkept, however this was not the case. We would highly recommend that anyone coming to Darwin stay in Cullen Bay or the Waterfront and advise anyone to give this hotel a miss.

We had king room. Bed was very comfortable. 8th floor nice view out to sea. Coffee and tea making facilities and bar fridge. Ironing board, hair dryer and accessories. Under cover parking.

Do not recommend. I was extremely disappointed. My partner and I live in Darwin and booked a room here for one night priced at $335. We were hoping to relax and enjoy the luxury of a hotel as we haven't been able to travel and rarely get to spend time together. We also brought our 6 month old son with us. Due to covid the gym was closed and so was the pool (which I wasn't aware of at the time of booking because there was no advice on their website regarding this). We decided to watch a movie in the room only to discover we can't as free to air is all that's available. The cot they provided to us was broken and the spa didn't look clean with black hairs sitting in the bottom. After only 3 hours we decided to go home and spoke to reception about getting a refund. We were told that a refund wasn't possible and that there's nothing they can do. We chose to check out regardless. I gave the guy at reception my bank card as I thought he was refunding me the $100 deposit. Instead he charged me another $345 as he thought we hadn't paid for the room, however I had paid online before arriving at the property.
So I was charged twice and despite being refunded the overpayment I won't receive these funds for another 3-4 business days. Total waste of time and money.

Fantastic front of house staff.
Great pool with all day sun.
We flew into lockdown for 5 out of our 7 days, so we extended with another 7 nights.
DBar very hit and miss. Only recommendation for DBar is that staff learn their menu, how to make coffee and a couple of cocktails.
Thank you, see you next time.

Great rooms. Great service. Easy to book especially with shop back getting 5% in cash on all bookings.

Terrible service and the rooms were small and no ability to open a window. The room service was also poor quality. It's cheap a good location but the backpackers might be a better option.

Would definitely recommend to stay here when in Darwin. Wish I stayed here my whole visit. Meals where great and resonably priced. Great service, very helpful. Our flights where delayed, they kept our bags there all day after checkout stored safely.

Our room overlooked the car park and had no window and my partner and I both got colds we think from constant cold air con in the hotel. Coffee was awful. Reception staff were friendly.

The food at the Hotel lobby "D Bar " was very good and made our stay much better having such a good resturant within the Hotel.

Really nice, spacious and clean hotel. Staff are friendly and they gave us a corner room on the top floor which had amazing views and made our Wedding Anniversary extra special.

I stayed at 3 places in two weeks in Darwin and this was by far the best value for money. It is not fancy but I found the room very clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly. The location is good - an easy walk to Rays
or Rabbit Hole for breakfast. There is also a Woolworths near by.

Staff were rude.
We booked breakfast for our 4 night stay and we went to have breakfast they said we had to prove we paid for the Breakfast and then it was only cereal 40 each for 4 breakfast we complained and they said the manager would call us never did. Our air conditioning didn’t work on arrival and it seemed a bother when we asked for them to look at it also, no complimentary bottle of wine like was stated in the booking as well.
Our first time to Darwin and we were disappointed in there customer service, hopefully they take this onboard and improve this for future customers staying at H on Smith.

Room cleaning each day is poor, the carpet isn't vacuumed and the toilet bowl is not cleaned and as there is no brush I can't do it myself. Paying over $200 per night & the supplied toilet paper is Woolies recycled one ply. I've never had worse even the public toilets use better quality. Sorry I can't recommend this accomodation.

Stayed at the hotel 3 nights, not enough car park so had to park on the street, room directly above the kitchen so their AC was vibrating and noisy, room service only does the bed, so tea mugs were not cleaned and no possibility to clean them yourself, bed is confortable though but that s about it

Rooms are nice. BUT and this is a big but.
There is ZERO amenities for cooking. No balconies or even opening windows.
You have a jug and that's it.
So.
No Balconies
No Microwave
No windows
No Foxtel
No Cutlery
Not very sound proof.
(Hear alot especially in the corridor)
But the rooms are nice
