George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens reviews
61Fabulous place, very well designed, very spacious, every kind of tropical tree, rainforest trees, shrubs, climbers, ferns, cycads, boats, crocodile, dinosaur sculptures, Madagascar garden, all facilities for people and events
One of the best botanical gardens in Australia. Magnicient trees & definately worth visiting
The dinosaur part was a great novelty but all in all there was a lot of space with well lawns and about sculptures rather than focusing on plants.
The signs say wonderful views of Darwin city and harbour.but when you get there you can't see any thing fot the trees.was disappointing.and there was so many little bitting insect which you are warned about.please don't ignore the warning.they are really really bad.
We attended the Gardens for a wedding, and I've been there a bunch of times over the years I've lived in Darwin. A top spot for a picnic and a a wedding.
Bring your own picnic or get a coffee at Eva's cafe. A hidden gem. Quiet and so beautiful. Great play space for the kids also. Well worth a visit.
Great place to see a wide variety of plants. Eva's cafe in the gardens is perfect for a cool drink.
Beautiful place. Well maintained and well presented. Outstanding range of vegetation types. Highly recommended.
Relaxing tropical gardens perfect for a stroll in the cooler parts of the day. Lots of little nooks and sculptures to discover. The green is a relief from the harsh light of Darwin city.
The botanical gardens is worth a visit. The crocodile statue is magnificent. We saw different colourful flowers, a lagoon setting with fountains was a cool delight on a hot day, and of course a milkshake and cake at the cafe was wonderful!
Great night was had, the staff were fantastic on the night. They were friendly, kind and ready to help. Great place well done.
Beautiful garden, lots of different parts of the park show beautiful trees and wildlife! I absolutely enjoyed the stay. And the best thing, it's free!
Beautiful gardens and pet friendly! We loved the dinosaur part, the treehouse playground and the beautiful little waterfall. Highly recommend
Way poorly indicated and unmaintained parcels.if there is a botanical garden to visit is that of Adelaide!
Nice botanic garden, the rainforest walk is beautiful and peaceful and you really believe you are walking through a real rainforest
Iconic, majestic and well worth the visit. Beautiful. Lots of random seats and drink fountains. Tree variety is immense. Open lawn space too to rest on. Public BBQ areas. Birds found there are great too.
Wonderful place to spend some time - strolling, walking the dog, exercising or just relaxing in a shady spot enjoying the amazing plantings. And Eva's cafe is great for refreshments.
Always a favourite spot to visit here for the beautiful greenery and quietness that I enjoy from time to time! Been a regular visitor since my father brought me here along with my younger brothers many years ago and I still love it down at the gardens!
It is still in maintenance/ construction stage. A nit messy in there. It said it will complete the project in Oct 2019.
