George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens reviews
61Free entry into this wonderful spacious walk about lush green botanical gardens. Great sculptures, lily pond, water display with bridges & great playground. Picnic or go to the lovely Eva's Cafe.
A lovely walk around the gardens with Misch. The shop had some gorgeous gifts - earrings, books etc. We saw a fake snake, dragon, dinosaurs and croc. Also climbed up the playground fort and had some milkshakes at Eva's.
Lovely large park - unfortunately didn't get to see it all. Love the large fake snake up on the tree branch - had us fooled for a while!
If you want to escape from it all and relax and listen to nature then this is the place, absolutely beautiful.
Excellent and very interesting place to visit
Well marked trails and easy to follow
Great variety and I personally found the Madagascar variety of Boab trees and plants fascinating.
Beautiful place to spend the morning. It’s a must if you’re visiting Darwin, very tropical flora. The pathway to the waterfall was closed though.
A beautiful area in close proximity to Darwin City. Will look great once the wetter weather arrives
Tropical gardens at their best. Nice chai tea at Eva's Cafe and the visitors centre is fabulous.
This is a lovely and well done Botanic Garden which has the coolest sculptures we have seen in a garden (the crocodile, dragon and even dinosaurs in the Cycad section) When we went sadly the waterfall wasn’t flowing but it was a nice walk around the whole garden with heaps of information and the forest sections were so beautiful, like you were in another world

This is our favourite place. The Cafe is so family friendly, wonderful staff, and a historical interest in itself. A play ground and lots to explore. We can visit again and again. I do hope that not more buildings will be constructed though because it will lose It's charm.
Nice place to relax and also for a photo shoot.limited free parking available in side the park.free entrance.
Wow what a fantastic place, try Eva's for breakfast it's outstanding with great staff and important for us pet friendly.
Cafe and plenty of parking areas. Great for lunch or picnic. Gates close at 6. Very scenic easy access on foot. Some overnight stayers?
Lovely walk through the gardens, beautiful Cafe with delicious food & a park for the kids to play in. Perfect way to spend a day escaping the heat in the shade of the trees.
Nice place to walk around, especially early morning when it is not hot
Spent 3hrs on visit first time.
Wonderful in sections. The info centre architecture and landscape (is it cotton bolls fluffing out the back) is superb. Lovely lily pond, boabs, desert roses, pawpaws are flowering. Feels quite neglected in many other areas; give it more money and a master plan!
It. Has changed since my last visit surprising. More better now many more new features disappointed that the. Fountain stopped working just as I got there.have to go against a to take photos and hope the fountains are working next time I go nice place to take a blanket and sit on grass and have a cut lunch benches available for sitting everywhere and a cafe in the gardens to eat or drink something pleasant surroundings love it emencely
Love the gardens n cafe has really yummy food and amazing juice.look out for the big python in the tree has an amazing playground for the kids
Love this place, the little church cafe has now been extended with large desks at the back and front. It was perfect for a coffee and cake. We love all the gardens but really impressed with the Boab Madagascar garden. Fascinating. Lovely to ride bicycles around the wide paths.
