Erldunda Roadhouse reviews
55The centre of Australia. They have emus on the side. The staff where we had breakfast were nice. The food was very nice.
The roadhouse was one of the best I have been to! Great variety, brilliant deals and friendly and helpful staff. Overall great experience to stop by, on a road trip would recommend!
Stopped for fuel: if you are travelling to Ayers Rock resort fill up there ($2.65/l) or continue onto Stuart's Well ($2.36/l). Do not pay too much (2.81/l). These people are taking advantage of tourists.
We stopped a few times here. ITs a perfect place for a break. We stayed here over night as well and really enjoyed it. The kids had a ball.
Great Roadhouse with friendly and helpful staff.
There is a very large variety of foods including sandwiches, cakes, snacks, pies and a decent Menu to order Hot food from.
A wide variety of grocery lines and tourist items also available. Fuel and ice (3.5kg bag).
Bar onsite with outdoor seating.
Public amenities to the right side of the store entrance.
Variety of accommodation styles available and a pool to relax in.
I paid $15 on the 03.09.21 for an unpowered site. Unfortunately this was just red dirt.no grass (that was over by the powered sites - caravans).
The camping amenities were large, clean and well presented.
Laundry facilities available too.
There is a kitchen/dining area but no facilities are provided. This is next to the playground and BBQ's.
Stopped past on our SA-NT trip. Enjoyed my first shower of our trip here and watched the sunrise. Has such a great vibe it’s just a shame I didn’t get an opportunity to purchase something from the gift shop (my partner did). Please consider an online shop- until our next trip I’ll have to wait to get a souvenir from my favourite pit stop of our whole trip!
Centre of the centre. Great place in the middle of nowhere, your one stop shop for everything. Great gift store, best pizzas and can get an ice cold beer.
It is 2 years since we stayed here, but I remember it really well. Is the motel fancy? Nope, but it is good enough. The petrol/gas is fair value, not better or worse. But the food was outstanding - well-cooked, great portions, and great value as well. View from the platform good. The shop was also well-stocked. Highly recommended, much better than we expected, and a genuine pleasure to look back on.
Good stopover with clean amenities, food, drinks, and fuel very pricey, but that's what you get on the road at the moment
Has everything you need for a large truck stop. Bit tacky with all the China made Aussie souvenirs. More local indigenous souvenirs would be great. Purchased coffee and a beef pie. Got down the road to eat pie and it was Chicken & Mushroom. Lucky I'm not allergic to Mushrooms. Coffee was average at best. Petrol is OK priced for that part of the country.
Great place to set up camp instead of towing camper all the way to ayers rock
Nice park well worth a visit
Food was great from the tavern also
The best roadhouse in NT. Great cafe. Nice souvenirs. Entertaining emu farm and kangaroos. Well laid out campground with decent amenities. Friendly staff.
Great place to stop over when you are heading to Uluru. There is the Centre of the Centre Marker which you can view as well as the lovely emus which are very funny to watch. There is lovely coffee and snacks at the station if you need a quick pick up, it was very busy when we were there.

Best hamburger in Australia! And good casual atmosphere for a bite to eat while you fill up with fuel. 200kms from Alice. Great campsite out the back to break the trip. Emu (fenced in) next door to amuse everyone.
We only stopped here for lunch - outback stack burger was delicious & the gluten free steak sandwich was great! Plenty of hot food options, lots of fun souvenir & they have premium 98 fuel. Staff were helpful and efficient. We’d definitely stop here again:)
1am and loud music, singing, whistling, clapping, yelling from the bar.
No one seems to care about it.
Wouldn’t recommend as you’re not getting a good
Just wanted to get in, pay for fuel and get out. OMG. 15 min. One cashier who was also doing good. Looked like he was high on drugs. Ended up with no food. Couldn't get out of there quick enough.
I’ve just be there. The drinks promotions were wrong when I tried to buy 2 cans x 4$ (as the promotion said) they told me that was wrong and the sing was there. And then when I went to pay for the new drink and the fuel the Indian guy in the front was rude whit my and my partner. I’ll never stop there again.shity place with shity staff.
Beautiful place. The rooms are spacious. They have motel rooms as well camping site. Rooms are 3/5 but what you can expect in the middle of desert. They have swimming pool facilities, restaurant and a pub. We stopped there to visit Uluru. Uluru is 2.5 hours drive from the motel. This is also the center of Australia.
Nice Erldunda Roadhouse is a good place to stop between Alice Springs and Uluru. There are gas pumps, clean rest rooms, a snack bar, and lots of emus. This place great. Staff are very efficient and helpful in all ways. My husband had a medical emergency last week and they were amazing. First class.
