Erldunda Desert Oaks Resort, while conveniently positioned for travelers en route to Ayers Rock Resort, falls short with its overpriced offerings. As a pit stop, the resort's amenities may not align with the costs incurred. Travelers might find more value and cost-effective options in nearby alternatives, making it essential to consider other accommodations for a more budget-friendly and satisfying stay.

Very disappointing, time has not fixed the quality & attitude of staff. Driving most of the night, was looking forward to breakfast, the rude French backpacker seems annoyed that I interrupted her conversation with her work colleagues to actually do her work & serve a customer.

$11 for a Bacon & Egg toasted sandwich that was burnt & dried out. It tasted disgusting & obviously been sitting for a few hours, ended up throwing it out…

Guess it was my mistake, hoping the place had changed, will be driving past @ 130kms like we have done over the last 15 years…

The gifts here are so great, I almost don't want to leave.
Although it's not as beautiful here as in the picture, it's enough for me

Thank you so much for the service:) we were very happy with our almost wild free camp, close to Carlota the camel!

The beer on tap is good and the food was very great, really recommend the veggie stack.

The service attitude of the service staff was friendly, and after checking in that day, we accidentally locked the key in the room. The service staff was very patient and came to our room from the gas station to deal with it. This is one of the few rooms we encountered during a road trip if the check-in time was exceeded. This accommodation will proactively send text messages to inform you of check-in information. Highly recommended.

Best coffee on the run through the desert. I have come through here numerous times over the past year and the staff are simply wonderful. Friendly and helpful and the food is good. Make sure you support these kinds of places.

What's the point in a 24/7 petrol station when you turn all your pumps off. Wasting time because you're store is incompetent. Don't. Advertise 24 hours fuel when it's not available.

It's the only place to stay in Ghan, has motel rooms, camping and caravan areas. Has emus and camels. Petrol station, convenience store, cafe, tavern all at the front. Nice staff, nice motel rooms, great food at the tavern, very popular and busy and sometimes hard to find a table but worth the effort.

You can't not stop into the Erldunda roadhouse, its a BIG stretch from Alice Springs to Uluru, just outside Alice is the Erldunda Roadhouse, a great spot to stop for fuel, a breakfast, lunch or dinner at any time, with a fully equipped cafe kitchen as well as a pub & camping.

We stopped here as part of our tour with Emu run to Uluru. We found the Cafe prices to be very reasonable given the location is the centre of Australia. Staff were very friendly and the coffee was fantastic.
We enjoyed our breakfast here.

Very basic facilities on the camp grounds. The tavern and staff were pleasant, food was great, however if you need fuel, try to avoid this place. After travelling 12000km it is the most expensive. The excuse of (it's central Australia) doesn't cut it As it is the main supply route.

Stayed for 1 night on my way north. $165 for the room, neat and tidy, no major issues, great shower, nice pressure for a change. The only down side was no microwave and the floor very creaky. Could hear/feel every step in the room next door. Dinner options in the tavern were a bit lean but settled on the Outback Stack burger. Was not disappointed, huge, and one of rhe best burgers I've had in a while. Would recommend.

Didn’t stay in the hotel, however took the petrol at the filling station. The service was quite friendly. Suggest to have with your tank, full beforehand not to pay a heavy amount. I personally find the drive between Uluru and Alice Springs quite overrated. Definitely it is a neat and clean drive the world with a good landscape. However Australia offers much better variety of drives like great Ocean Drive. Alice Spring has hardly anything to offer as compare to Uluru.

Soft saggy mattress, tiny TV that didn't work properly, and a/c didn't cool the room adequately. No cover for the car in the 40 degree heat. WiFi stopped working after a few hours.

I have so much gratitude for Margaret and the staff. I had a last minute booking of accommodation and Margaret was so welcoming.
I had the best Bangers and Mash I have had so far. Then this morning when I woke up, I had tyre troubles with no way of fixing it myself. Margaret gave me the number for a mechanic who travelled 80kms to get me going again. So grateful

Was a great rest spot. And traveling with a dog was welcomed to stay in one of the rooms. Friendly staff, nice meals, and very clean.
Only downer was beds on wheels and not sound prove. But Don’t let that stop u from pulling in and resting ya eyes from driving.

What a great oasis in the desert.
Well stocked shelves. Emu yard outside bar. The steak I had was great.
We even healed the camels eye with bedadine twice while there. She was so happy no flies eating her eye out anymore. Friendly girl camel. Loves carrots.
Not a bad stop. Thinking of staying another night.

First stop leaving Uluru to Cooper Pedy. Nice rooms with plenty of hot water and enough free wifi data. Lots of animals, emu, camel, rooster and kangaroo. Beautiful sunset view.

Didn’t have a chance to enjoy the pool but seems very clean. Helpful staff and reasonably priced food.

A must stop in the centre of the centre
