Emu Run Experience reviews
75Jono was our guide in Uluru for 2 1/2 days as part of our Princess Australia extension! He was amazing! Great experience, felt like home with the temps but just gorgeous. Thank you Jono!
Picked up at 7: 15am, right on time, and proceeded to pick up others at other locales.and then on our way. Plenty of bathroom / snack stops and they had very large jugs of cold water to refill any water bottles. Morning snack provided. Nice stop at a place that had a few Emu. Outback is amazing to see and there was lots of history and information provided by the driver as we rolled along. Nice lunch stop. It is a long way away. But we got there and had a couple of walking tours of special sites at Uluru. Moved around to the other side and another walking tour. All 3 walks were relatively easy walks. Each came with lessons about the people who lived there. Then we had a very nice outdoor dinner at sunset before beginning the ride back (which gladly had more bathroom stops). Got back at 1am.
We experienced the Uluru BBQ sunset trip a week ago and would like to thank Charlie and Yad for a fantastic day. We’re over from England and would thoroughly recommend this informative trip.
Two days later we did the Palm Valley 4WD trip with Miguel, great fun. Again wonderful the guides were so knowledgable and had patience with 2 people in their mid 70’s. Trips of a lifetime. Thank you.
An amazing experience. We really enjoyed the dinner of a simple BBQ with the spectacular backdrop of the rock. Our driver was very professional, driving, cooking, cleaning up and entertaining us all on his own.
The West McDonnell Ranges tour from Alice Springs was spectacular. We were disappointed that we were put on a mini bus as there were 9 on the tour. We couldn't stand up in the bus and the seats were not as comfortable. The driver though very nice, had only been in the country a few months and lacked an in-depth knowledge that we would have appreciated. The fresh water available on the bus was unpleasant in taste. We found AATKing bus tours by comparison far more comfortable and knowledgeable.
Did a Palm Valley tour. Our guide's name was Johnno, he was very informative. Beautiful place to see, well recommended.
Jono was a great guide and took us to the most interesting sites in the Macdonell Ranges. He provided an informative friendly banter on the trip. The lunch at Ormiston Gorge was amazing. Overall the tour the tour was awesome.
Great day Charlie was our driver she was awesome great knowledge and informative. When we reached Uluṟu Yad took over. He took us on an amazing journey to the Olga’s and Uluṟu. We seen spectacular sights and heard many interesting stories. I can highly recommend this amazing trip.
I went on two tours, Uluru/Kata Tjuta and West MacDonnell Ranges. Lot of driving from Alice Springs, but definitely worth it, and the big bus used for the trip to Uluru was very comfy. Guides were punctual in the morning, knowledgeable and nice, and never rushed us. Plenty of things to see on both tours. Highly recommended.
I can't thank Carson and Tyo enough for the attention to detail they put into the tour to Kata Tjuta. The respect and knowledge of the area and the indigenous peoples was so interesting and informative. It was a wonderful experience and one I will remember forever. I would also like to say a big thanks to Karen for taking us on a stunning journey through the McDonall Ranges. Once again her depth of knowledge was so interesting and informative. I can't thank Emu Run enough for a wonderful experience.
Very informative and pleasant tour with great commentary from Dave. The places we were taken to were really beautiful. We would highly recommend the tour.
It was a very interesting Tour. Yad out guide told us a lot about the Uluru and the kata Tjuta Nationalpark. Also our bus ride from Alice Springs to Yulara was so nice, because our bus driver (we do not no his name unfortunately) gave us so many infos about rhe town, the people, the culture, the stations etc all along the way. Very impressive!
The bus trip itself was fine, bus was a little dated and quite noisy towards the back (engine noise)
We booked on the premise of having breakfast included as part of our price - as this is what was clearly listed. This however did not turn out to be the case, we then had to purchase our own breakfast on the day, with the assurance from our driver that it would only take a phone call to have it sorted and a refund made. That phone call was made & email sent, yet it took another 4 emails before we were refunded. The company tried to advise we were not entitled to a refund, then tried to only offer a refund for 1 passenger (not thee as booked). Eventually, they agreed to the refund I had requested in the first place. So overall, what would have been a perfectly pleasant trip, was turned sour by their inept customer service.
Beginning of the month, we took a day tour to the West MacDonnell Ranges. Our tour guide, Dave, made this experience unforgettable. He shared his immense knowledge with us throughout the whole day. We did many stops along the West MacDonnell Ranges, one more beautiful than the other. It is a magical place, especially when someone explains the meaning behind all the different places we visited. We would recommend the West MacDonnell Ranges tour anytime, especially when you can get Dave as a tour guide!
All good
Exceptö USB ports on the bus NOT workıngö we dıssapoınted on thıs and our mobıles dıed and mıss the chance of takıng photos
otjer than that The Guıde YAD was excellentö and our bus drıver ALAN was excellent too
We had a great time during the very informative and interesting Uluru sunset tour. We caught the bus from Erldunda after a full buffet breakfast, had some stops on the way and then visits to Kata Tjuta then the cultural centre, and a tour of Uluru before enjoying a nice bbq dinner with the sunst over Uluru. A big thank you to our wonderful guides.
My 89 year old father and I did a 1 day tour to uluru with Emu Run. They were great and caring to my father making sure he and others were comfortable and enjoy the day. Recommend to everyone
We have missed the culture center to hear more about the Aboriginies. Of course iur driver has given an update but I assume that the story would be better from the people of aboriginies.
The tour was so far o.k. And the stop againto change the bus snd to bring the half tour guest back to the hotels has cost 40 min which we have missed too.
I would like to feedback the experience that we have from Emu Run for Uluṟu Sunset BBQ dinner on 23/Sep/2022.
First, the bus came and pick us (9 of us) on time at Desert Garden Hotel at Ayers Rock. We reached the sunset area about 5.45pm and the place was quite full of people.
We didn’t have a table for us as all has been occupied. One of the guy told us that due to people are not sitting in a group of 6 (as each table can fit 6) that’s why no table for us anymore. Shouldn’t you as organiser arrange the seat? So that everyone have a seat and table to eat. This is very bad experience for us.
After that I saw an empty table and ask if they can setup for us, a lady from Emu Run group said sorry that the table is needed to serve food. She said the situation is what is it and ask us to accept it that we don’t have a table. Nobody seem to care and make sure we were being taken care of. What kind of service is this? We paid $129 per person and yet we don’t have a proper seat and table for our dinner.
As for the food, salad and sausages were ok but the beef is too hard to chew and eat.
When everything is over, sunset is done… no one told us which bus to take. We have to ask around the staff to make sure we have transport to get back to our hotel.
I do not recommend this tour.
Amazing day? Tour guides Lauren and Emma are both amazing, knowledgeable, humour and welcoming. Couldn't of asked for a better day. Thank you
