Daly Waters Hi-Way Inn reviews
59Decided to spoil ourself and got a cabin. Shower tiles was all cracked on foot. Milk was off in fridge. Had Brekky in pub ordered scrabbled eggs came out brown. Even girl behind bar said what’s that. Next time rather stay in camper. Very poor
Excellent caravan park, very good amenities, more than reasonable price, staff are very friendly and helpful, great food, cold beer
Easy to find, friendly and helpful staff, great room, highly recommend especially if needing somewhere to stay for one n.ight
The lady who served me made the best toasted egg nd bacon sandwich. Fantastic hot coffee nd iced coffee, she was so friendly nd accommodating.
Very expensive tiny cabins, poor cleaning. Worst accomodation for value I have stayed in for years. Pity we couldn't make Katherine.
Well priced. The beds very comfy. We get room 13 for two people and 14 for four. The toilets were clean and nice. We appreciate so much our stop in here for the night. And the pub of the town seems interesting to see. Thanks a lot:)
Stopped in for Coffee and two toasted sandwiches. Coffee was the best coffee I have had in a long time. The coffee was creamy and hot and really good. Service was prompt and polite, prices what you would expect in the middle of no where. Will stop in again next time we are heading south.
Stayed 1 night, lovely place, nice shady spot & well priced camping. Had dinner, husbands meal was fantastic, beautiful chips. My meal on the other hand was very bland, had Thai curry. Well it certainly wasn't thai or even a curry, no taste at all! More like a tasteless bush stew, very dissapointed. However the meat was tender and staff friendly. Every other meal that came out looked amazing, must have ordered the dud.desserts were average, all store bought and fake.
Good place to stay, the park was pretty full and had to stay in the overflow section that wasnt bad, had to fix the tap for them as it wss corroded to the point that we couldnt get my connection on the dam thing, managed to get it on so all good, the girl behind the counter Must be a x city girl because she was to the point with instructions so she could move on to serve others
For a last minute stop what a beaut place. Food is great. Service is friendly and fast. Feeds are big
The caravn park was great but dont have a meal in the restaurant. 3rd time here and happy with service but last time I was disgusted. Through service staff came into eat. Helped themselves to food. 4 times the amount customers got.they were so loud I couldn't talk to other customers or listen to TV. We waited over an hour and half and then asked had they forgot to us. Brought it out as we were going.for our meal so we asked for our money back. Some staff were terrific but obviously have to put up with careless people. Sorry. Wont be back and spoke to 3 others that state the same. Real shame
Came to visit and was appalled by the behaviour of the Irish lady with dark hair behind the bar, firstly all interest was with males sitting at bar I have waited at counter for 15 minutes until the chat was over.secondly the talk that was used between both, 3rdly arrived back through last night quick stop off to see the same girl was on the opposite side with boys being very inoperative, (great food)
Great little spot stayed in the back, no traffic noise with grassy area with plenty of shade, clean amenities, for outback standard, fuel was the cheapest we had seen in N. T
Lady who served us did not seem to understand a simple order of 2 caps and 2 toasted ham/cheese/tomato take away. I would rate toasty a 1. Dry no tomato. Would not recommend.
Read some of the reviews and was a bit sceptic about our choice for the night. But on arrival we was greeted with smiles, the room was clean and the meal OMG value for money and cooked perfectly. Highly recommended this place.
This would probably be the pick of the roadhouse on the Darwin to Alice route. Vast choices of accommodation depending on your wallet size. Kitchen quick service offering quality food at some of the best prices found on the track. Easily spotted by the keen eye due to the array of trucking rigs generally parked out front - always a good indicator of value & good service. No doubt helped along by the reasonable bar prices and friendly attractive staff. Grounds are kept spotless by diligent staff & the locals and truckers all contribute to an enjoyable & welcoming visit. Good for travellers looking for clean accommodation value for money and some interesting conversation. Recommended.
It's was a great place, clean bed, floor, etc.
It has a pool and an restaurant and inside it looks like a grocery store which great
A nice place to take a break from driving and to rest awhile the coffee and food are great so stop and take a break it may save your life it only takes a second to nod off so be sensible and take that break you will still get to where you are going
Great dongas. Bar is great when not full of self indulgent grey nomads that think it is some Melbourne bar.
Good food
In 3 years never had a bad feed from this joint
Accomadation is clean
Meeting hub for people from the Gulf of Carpentaria and The Barkley
Good place to see folk you haven't seen for a while xx
