Crocosaurus Cove reviews
78Was a great day. We did the cage of death it's amazing a bit expensive if you take the lot with pictures and so.
Good place to visit will need 2-3 hours to see everything. Longer if you want to see Crocs and reptile feeding.
I found the whole experience cruel to the crocs. They have 3 big crocs inside their own small tanks that get taunted to come interact with people inside the so called "cage of death". The crocs are basically in prison for human entertainment.
My son and I come here regularly and it never gets boring. Very large reptile display and metre plus barra. Crocs are huge and on a good day put on an awesome display in the cage of death. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
Small cafe, clean toilets and souvenir shop. Highly recommend it for anyone who comes to darwin.
The place is ok I wouldn't go there again, the crocs are huge, and each "mutant" crocodile has a name and a history in each place. I'm giving only 2 stars because unfortunately the crocs cage attraction is not what I expected from the videos and pictures, the crocodiles are too bored of living in such a tiny space for their size and they don't even bother roaming around the cage or eating the meat that the staff members are trying to give to them. They also have a small compartment where the children can swim next to an aquarium full os small crocodiles, which again I think it's too small for them. I understand salt water crocs are dangerous but I don't think it's fair to take this animals from their natural life. I advise going on a boat tour along the river and see them in action catching the meat. The name is Jumping Crocodile Cruise.
Good experience. I think the ticket price of $35 is a bit too high. Watching the cage action was always interrupted by the venue's photographer who was asking us to move around so she can take photos of the person in the cage. Feeding crocodiles was fun to watch.
A must place to visit, to appreciate the enormous size of these mystical creatures. Having said that I do feel sorry that they are no longer in the wild.
Good interaction session with snakes and lizards as well as fish feeding. Can get a cheep beer as well, great when it's hot.
Me and my girlfriend did the cage of death, which is an absolute must!
Although is was coming up to the wet season, and the crocs are a little less "animated", just being able to see these creature up close and in as much detail as you do is astonishing!
The trainers really try their best so that customers have the best experience possible and managed to get the croc up for a few action shots for us.
Get the locals yearly pass and it's a fab way to keep little ones occupied in the air-conditioning all year round.
It was good fun for a quick visit. Nothing much else to see when we were there (oct 2018) if you are planning to go diving with the crocs, make a booking in advance as it gets full pretty quickly. Tickets were a little bit pricey so check prices before you go just to be sure you really want to do it. Unless you are extremely fascinated by crocodiles, really isn’t much else to see. But after all, it is called the “croc cove” so that’s expected
Lovely people managing the cove. Worth a visit although not cheap. Informative n well planned. Nice to see crocs not being ill treated even in captivity
Great way to spend the day as Alice Springs can be quite boring n nothing much to do. Every attraction charge huge entrance fee aimed at fleecing tourist.
It's a great place for tourists to visit and it located right on the middle of the city. It also has a deal for locals where you get a year free.
They have plenty of crocs and lizards but I couldn't help but feel that all the enclosures are way too small. There are 5m crocs in 10m tanks. But the lizards and snakes have it the worst, no sun, tiny cages, not even real plants in there for them to interact with (all plastic).
Brilliant place, extremely well maintained and kept, you need 2-3hours to go around and see the crocodiles being fed, and you can feed them yourself, if you are a visitor to Darwin must not miss
Amazing interactive experience with crocodiles! We got to feed baby crocs and it was genuinely an awesome experience
It costs around $30 to get in. I spent about that much for the ‘Territory Wildlife Park’ where I felt I saw so much more. Crocosaurus Cove was okay.but it’s definitely much nicer seeing animals in their natural habitat.
A lot more fun than it looks from the outside. Definitely find the place they do photos. It's hidden but worth it.
