Crocosaurus Cove reviews
78Very disappointed, wouldn't rate it, for a holiday season it was dirty, seen a few crocs, swimming for the kids was closed and it can be covered in 30 minutes.
The Cage of Death is one of the best up close experiences you can have with an Apex predator. The staff are fantastic and its a Darwin must do.
Nice visit to see only crocodiles, but they are humongous. Watched the crocodiles in the tank, getting fed.
Absolutely brilliant!
Learnt so much and loved getting to hold some reptiles.
Staff are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable.
Thankful I didn't pay for the croc encounter as the one I watched the croc just floated around the tank, staff had the meat on a stick and were able to rest the meat on the crocs head with it barely reacting
An enjoyable day out, conveniently located in the city. Loved holding the baby crocs and listening to the various talks that occur throughout the day. Particularly enjoyed wandering through the reptile house, where we also got to hold a baby python and a blue-tongue lizard.
We visited the crocosaurus cove twice! The second time my husband got into the cage of death for an up close and personal encounter with the largest apex predator, saltwater crocodile, reptile in the world!
It was an unbelievable experience for him and I enjoyed taking the photographs lol.
Book in advance on the website for this experience. It's usually sold out on weekends so we went on a Monday at 10: 30 a.m. No trouble getting in. Cheers
The caretakers were so informative and caring for the creatures and humans in their care. Highly recommend this place and I'd you book online and add a promotion code your get a 10% discount
Came through with family from down South and was totally disappointed with the cleanliness of the pens, the lack of actual attractions, with the small croc fishing area closed, and a really sad atmosphere. The price should be reduced whilst there is limited attraction and until the glass in all areas are cleaned the place should be closed for maintenance.
Very disappointing.
Did the cage of death wow what an experience. Held a baby crocodile and fed whiprays incredible. Lots to see in the Reptile area. Feeding the crocs was fun. They are huge.
Couldn't believe how great this place was almost smack in the middle of the CBD, so much to see, and watch in awe at the power of some pretty seriously sized Crocs
We did the VIP crocodile feeding tour which is definitely worth the extra dollars. You get a guided tour of the park, get to hold lizards, snakes and a baby croc, but best of all you get to feed an adult male croc. Our guide Hannah was great and the presentations were informative and fun.
100% worth the money to jump in with these monsters! I felt safe the whole time and the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend spending time here. Cheers for the opportunity!
What and amazing day the staff were fantastic, couldn't do enough to get the crocs to interact in the cage of death. Great photos, The Crocosaurus Cove what the purpose for our trip to Darwin and it didn't disappoint.
Spent half a day here, loved the reptile enclosure with a variety of reptiles. The experience of seeing the crocs close up by being able to walk the under their enclosures and seeing them swim about at a different angle was awesome.
The place is a must if you are turisting in the area and want to see crocodiles in a safe environment. The place is a bit run down so don't expect much.but we had a chance to hold some reptiles and that was fun! We didn't go to the crocodile cage but looks like fun if you like this kind of stuff. The Crocs are massive and very impressive. It was good to see them under the water. The shop has lots of cool gifts as well!
Absolutely awesome.highly recommend to get up and personal with a croc. Informative but very entertaining.
Was worth the visit. Has a few large Crocs, a famous couple Will & Kate and lots of baby Crocs that you can feed. The reptile inclosure is also vert interesting.
Great place for families, some big crocs here with good viewing. Live show with lizards an snakes. Get your photo with a baby croc.little bit dated but still good value
Blown away by this place honestly could not rate it high enough. The Activites, the set up, the shows, the staff! Had an absolute blast here, ended up being here for twice the time I thought I would and will definitely be coming back. Massive smile on my dile the whole experience!
Overpriced, tired and looking unloved. The lady who sold us tickets at the entry looked completely disinterested in being there. There is no apparent breeding programme or conservation focus (confirmed by one of their staff members). It is simply designed to milk the unsuspecting tourist who wants the convenience of seeing crocodiles in concrete pens in the middle of Darwin rather than in their natural habitat out in Kakadu, Adelaide River etc.and then flog them overpriced souvenirs in the mandatory exit gift shop. Do yourself a favour and book a day trip to Litchfield followed by a croc tour on Adelaide river, where you will get much better value for your money and a true "Territory" experience.
