Corroboree Billabong Wetland Cruises reviews
71Great fun, singles and families! The boat manouvers were carefull so everyone can see all the animals, plants and sunsets. Information on plants and animals is great.
Great relaxed day trip way to get an idea of Billabong wildlife and plants if you're only staying in Darwin for a few days and don't have the time to drive yourself to Kakadu, Yellow Waters etc
One one the most beautiful experiences of my life!
I participated at both a morning and sunset cruise on different days.
The boat is not too big which is fantastic and feels more relaxing.
We had the whole billabong for ourselves and I felt like I was inside a wildlife documentary. Our guide Allen was very nice and knowledgeable and it made the cruise quite an experience!
5 star plus!
We took a open boat tour of the billabong near sunset. There was plenty of birdlife to photograph and observe. There are crocodiles, though we missed them this time, but were able to see several buffalo wandering amongs the reeds. Being only one hour drive from Darwin, it is a nice spot for a half day outing.
Very informative and enjoyable.
We were lucky to see a number of jabirus and a couple of crocodiles, and try some lotus seeds. Thank you!
We recently had a trip with Corroboree Billabong Wetland cruises and totally recommend it. Evan was very knowledgeable, witty and professional. We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the lunch provided. I thoroughly recommend the company. Peter and Pat Moss, Perth.
Fabulous cruise through the wetlands of Corroberee Billabong. Very informative with a small group and great guide in Allan. Whilst every day is different, we were incredibly lucky with the crocodile encounters we experienced along with seeing an array of birdlife. Sunset was the perfect time for us, we took a few drinks and nibbles to enjoy along the way.
If you are in the region this is one not to miss.
Thoroughly enjoyed this Wetlands Corroboree Pk, Mary River day tour from Darwin. Right from the booking process with Andrew who was so helpful, to our wonderful tour guide Evan who gave us the best day possible from start to finish. Commentary was excellent and lunch was delish. Plenty of crocs, birds and flora. A must do, highly recommended great value tour 5/5
Absolutely great cruise, the only one we found that doesn't do the circus jumping crocodiles thing, just respectively watching animals. Allen was a wonderful guide, we enjoyed it! Thanks
Me and my boyfriend had the best experience with lovely Allen on board. They ended up extending almost 40 min the Cruise because we found amazing salty crocs on the sand banks and got plenty of time to see them and take pictures. Found all the wildlife possible and watched amazing sunset.
Thank you
Highly recommend this day tour. You get to see all the wildlife in their natural habitat and not treated like circus animals. Our guide for the day was Evan who was brilliant. He gave great commentary that was both knowledgeable and humorous. If you're in the top end put this on your to do list.
2.5.hrs tour with lunch was great and guide Evan gave excellent commentary with details and humor. Recommended to anyone who likes nature.
Amazing experience with Allen who was amazing too! If you are looking for an authentic cruise respectful of animals, this one is for you (and the only one we found around). We learnt a lot of things and will be more than happy to come back!
Staying in Darwin without a car, this Cruise was perfect for us as the company pick you up from your hotel in the CBD around 9.00am. The 90 minute drive to the Wetland includes two stops (Fogg Dam for morning tea & Corroboree Tavern for another comfort break) Evan the guide regaled us with history and humorous stories of Darwin & NT on the way to the cruise dock, and on the boat he saw crocs and birds that we would otherwise have missed. Evans knowledge of bird life was extensive and satisfied the Twitchers in our group. Our Cruise was over lunchtime, the boat was completely shaded, plenty of cold water was on hand and the lunch was excellent, catering for all dietary needs. Evan's professionalism, humour and knowledge made this a great day out. We were dropped off at our digs at around 5.30pm, after a cleansing Ale at the Corroboree Tavern on the way home.
The guide was good, but he was more interested in getting photo of the birds than looking after the customer. He did not find a single crocodile, the ones we saw where all spotted by the paying customers
What a fantastic day out, living in suburban SA we’ed forgotten what fabulous scenery and wildlife Australia has to offer, we will be back up to the top end next year and hopefully Evan will still be hosting this tour, he was funny, knowledgeable and really loves what he’s doing he made it an unforgettable day, DO NOT MISS THIS DAY OUT
Great cruise, well organised and informative. Allen and Sandy were our tour guides and were fantastic and entertaining. The shuttle service from e Corroboree Tavern was very useful and highly recommended.
A great experience with the most informative and witty guide "Evan" Giving the best commentary on every aspect during the Corroboree Billabong Wetlands. To a very passionate Evan. Thanks heaps for a great day from Rob and Fran.
We would like to shout out a great big thank you to Lehi for taking us on a sunset tour of the corroboree billabong. He was very knowledgeable and created an amazing experience for us all.
Lots of wildlife and crocs where seen.
Highly recommended going on the tour for anyone wanting to see crocs in the wild and a variety of birds etc.
Thank you once again.
100% recommend. It was such a beautiful cruise. Absolutely gorgeous seeing all the birds, crocs & other wildlife in their natural habitats. Old mate Alan was such a nice, funny and informative tour guide/bloke too! We learnt so much & had fun:) If you are wanting to see some crocs on your NT visit, this is the way to go. Thanks guys!
