Buley Rockhole reviews
64Absolutely smashing experience, about 2 hours drive from Darwin City Centre but worth every second of travelling.
Really lovely place especially during the week. We had the place to ourselves! Lovey spot for the children to access the water too
Stunning place for a swim. Ancient river bed with natural holes carved into the rock by water for millions of years. Alot of fish. Alot of tourists at peak times. Water was very refreshing. Lots of wildlife to see. Lots of rocks to jump off into deep water. Some pools where more than 3 meters deep.
This place is amazing. Clear pools with running water falls even in late September. Beautiful for a day out!
All I can see, it's an awesome place to cool down and enjoy family time. Paved hiking trails along the river is a bonus. Family loved it. 5
Last time we came during dry season, this time closer to wet season and the water was flowing well. There were plenty of spots to sit in, rocks are slippery so be careful.
Great experience. Water was flowing pretty fast due to heavy rain the day before. Facilities to change. Easy walk down to water.
Awesome place, worth a visit!
Wet is perfect season, we were almost alone in the morning and after 4pm.
We jumped from the rocks, water is deep.
Senior lady, not well, didn't go for a swim however, our tour driver and others had a swim.
Lovely place to swim, lots of different small rockholes so youre not crowded with other people
We went in the afternoon after all the day trippers had headed back to Darwin. Amazing spot, with different pools at different depths depending on what you are looking for in a water hole
A nice set of water holes for having a refreshing dip.
Visit early if you don't want to be shoulder-to-shoulder in the pools.
Fantastic day trip too Litchfield & the falls great swimming, we used Litchfield VIP tours with Milo the driver a great guy.
Another beautiful spot at Litchfield NP. This one was pretty busy on a weekend but still enough space to find somewhere nice to relax.
The most stunning place. Hard on the knees [I have two bad ones] slippery in the water once in hard to get out, I needed help, but that's just me. Loved it.
Easy access but watch your feet. The rocks are very slippery but worth the effort once your soaking in the water.
Beautiful area. Very busy at first rock pools but you can walk along toward Florence falls which is a pathway, to find your own uncrowded pool, perfect.
Busy but probably due to some state or other holiday. Nice and cool great place to cool off and rest for a while
Amazing rockholes it's like a cascade of rockholes all connected and their is one place you can jump in. Their are also some nice picknick areas.
So nice to refresh from Darwin's killing heat. But beware as it is very slippery and you are exposed to the sunlight at all times. Wear a hat and T-Shirt (please don't pollute the water with sun protectors, there is other firms of life in the river), and recommend some beach shoes for better grip.
