Stayed one night in a swag. Super easy check in. Almost empty in the unpowered campsites so plenty to choose from. Nice and shady and tranquil with lots of wallabies bouncing through the bush in the early morning. Amenities block is really great with clean and airy all in one shower and toilet "cells" that means you can take one and settle right in and.get all cleaned up and do your business ;) Easy walk to the beautiful Bitter Springs. Take your noodles! Recommended.

Bitter Springs has a wonderful caravan park, shady large sites for busses, and large caravans, camping, power and good water, amenities I thought were good but I like things a little rustic or basic, e.g. Tin sheds. Ow and you will enjoy having frogs in the shower.lol.

Amazing park. Walk to the springs from 2 side access gates, don't forget the pool noodle so you can float away your aches and pains.
Facilities are metal sheds and suit the environment.
Peaceful, relaxing park with very large sites available if required.

Its a great location you can walk to the bitter springs thermal pool from here. There are plenty of sights to choose from powered and unpowered and most are large and there are sites with shade. Caretakers are friendly and helpful which makes a difference.
Its not far from town if you want to explore further afield. There are some deals for longer stays which make it economical. Definitely the camp to choose

Opened 1st April. Staff has done great job cleaning up after being partly flooded. Springs open too and walking distance from camp grounds.

Can't book cabins for this dry season until April 1. What a joke. Dumb boomer operators that are missing out on thousands.

Campsite is next to bitter spings swamp so there is alot of mosquitos. Campsite is very dusty, facilities are very poor.

Great place to relax and med stroll to the spring for a dip great. Don't forget to bring a noodle to float down the spring on the lazy flow of the water.

Wonderful walking access to Bitter Springs. Camp kitchen needs attention. The amenities are simple, effective and unisex. Many of the sites have ample shade but do not park under the trees - the local fauna is very active and productive overnight.

Quick stopover enough the to swim in the springs. The campsite was pretty big. Big spaces. Tranquil with lots of greenery but no grass which you would expect in this part of the world. Price ok but not cheap at $35 powered a night. Ablutions on suite and clean

Nicely located in a tropical Wonderland. Just up the road from the spring.
Take a walk on the forest tracks. The springs are great and clear. Just be careful of the sharp course uneven rocks on the bottom as they can cut. Bring your "reef shoes" if you have them.

Loved it! The site is 10 min walking distance from the hot springs which was very nice because we didn't have to move the car. The sites are all immersed in nature and surrounded by beautiful trees. The amenities were a bit old but very clean. Camp kitchen misses a table to eat but has fridge, electric cooking plates and sink to wash dishes. Also I suggest to try the frozen mango they sell at the reception, delicious! Will come back here for sure when heading south! Recommended!

Booked for a week and had to increase our stay to 2 weeks as it is a lovely place to stay. There are 3 Vans travelling in our group and there is plenty of space to relax with a "cool drink" under the large trees with a large canopy. The Springs are great to float down for a good 30 minutes or so.
Reading other reviews here and some people must be hard to please.
Great park, great price.

The unpowered bush sites where we camped we fairly quiet but very private.
Only a short walk to the Bitter Springs.

We didn't go there for camping, just haulted to confirm direction to actual Bitter Spring. The lady who was there showed us direction. Thanks the lady for telling us what the sign says.

The place/park itself is very good.good toilets and hot shower. We just had a bad experience with the 25+ asians up until 2am laughing and drinking with music.along with the 15 or so indians, with their repetitive whaling music and annoy language.no respect for others.typical of their kind.yup

Great van park, sites very spacious and amenities, whilst rustic, are clean and functional. Liquid soap and paper towels in the toilets were a welcomed surprise. Short walk to the thermal springs a definite plus. Definitely recommend.will be returning on our way back south.

Grumpy woman at reception, whinged about us being from NSW but still took our money. Ablution blocks very average and ran out of hot water. Whole place could do with a tidy up. Never again.
