Bitter Springs Cabins and Camping reviews
68Very nice place to stay. Lovely staff. Love to go back. Lots of bird life and other wildlife. Well maintained.
Doesn't get much better than this joint best flathead and salad I've had and I live on the coast
What a great spot. Stayed in a pre booked cabin which was roomy, very clean and well maintained. Short walk to the springs. Looks like the van area were of reasonable size with some shady sites. Park staff were very friendly too. Highly recommended a stopover.
Great park. It’s quite big when you walk around but you don’t get that feeling at your own site as they have set the park up smartly with enough trees to make you feel like you have small sections to yourself. Staff at reception very friendly and it’s a well organised property. The Bitter Springs rival the Mataranka springs area.
The bonus for us was the park sits along a little river where you can take the dogs for a swim. We didn’t see any snapping handbags.
Unbelievably good campground! On arrival everyone is personally shown to their site so no mixups. The amenities and camp kitchen are spotless and because the staff take pride the guests take care to always clean up after themselves too. It's shady and quiet with gorgeous views along the river on one side. Someone put us onto staying here, and so glad they did.
Also loved Patches the cow that lives in the paddock next door. She loves a head rub.
Not a bad place to camp with a caravan.lots of history.lots of red dust and very windy which is inevitable.fuel is expensive maybe fill up partially with what you need to get to the next place and fill-up.
Great park for just resting and relaxing. Couple of minutes walk to the spring which was really good. They also have good amenities. A water truck drives around to wet the roads so there is no dust. Feels like you are with nature. Would recommend this park to all.
A great spot for an overnight or even stay a few days if you have the time.
Booking was very easy and check in was quick and smooth.
We stayed in a cabin - it was comfortable and had a kitchenette for us to make a little breakfast before we hit the road.
The bathroom was clean, showers have good pressure and flowing hot water.
The location is very close to bitter springs - the most beautiful natural thermal pool in the area.
All you need when you’re passing through this great spot.
Beautiful place to spend a few days or more. Very reasonable rates. New camp kitchen and amenities.
Caravan park in the bush with power and water.
Walk to the hot Springs.float around on your noodles and go with slow currents.
A hidden magic spot.you must do.
Friendly staff and walking distance to Bitter Springs. We messed up our departure date and they refunded one night. Great customer service!
Beautiful camp-site, we stayed in the unpowered site near the creek it was really shady and peaceful. 5 minute walk to the springs which were lovely and great for the kids. We chose this camp-site over Mataranka as they seemed more dog friendly. The camp-site is very well maintained with exceptionally clean amenities, a great camp kitchen and heaps of washing machines. We would definitely visit again and recommend to travelling families with dogs.
Friendly staff and beautiful campground. Nice powered shady sites with new amenities block. Kids loved the Bitter Springs and floating down on noodles. Preferred to Mataranka Homestead which was also nice (stayed one night at each).
Loved it. Hosts were so friendly and helpful. Nice shaded parks, clean and new bathrooms. Dog friendly. Definitely recommend for a pleasant stay. Even has car and caravan wash bay
Staying in cabin, water in shower smell as a rotten eggs, now all cabin smells horribly.
$140? I don’t think I will come back
Friendly staffs, tidy nature camp site, newly built clean amenities, right next to the river for fishing, pet friendly.what more do you want
We arrived here only a couple of weeks before the park closes for the wet season on Oct 10 after NT school holidays end, so many of the areas were cordoned off, most noticeably the closest amenity block. The water is still suspect so we used our tank water for drinking etc and the park's mains for dish washing and showering only. The hosts are friendly and insisted on Covid check-in, which was appreciated. Enjoyed another shady site, and many swims in Bitter Springs, having taken the offer of stay 3 nights and get a 10% discount off the total tariff. Nice and quiet this time of year. The last day we suffered from an infestation of small brown ants. Been lucky so far on all our travels over the years of having no such problems. Put a real dampener on the stay. Don't think we'll come back here.
Well maintained cabin, lovely and quiet. We were the only people there and the owner was lovely and helpful. Would definitely return on peak season!
Quiet caravan park within walking distance of Bitter Springs. Dogs are welcome at the caravan park. Very good amenities including BBQs and covered areas.
We had a great cabin, BBQ out side of cabin and it was very clean would love to stay there again, nice place to just relax with a beautiful swimming hole about 10 to 15 minutes walk from cabin
