World Gym Prospect

Had a terrible experience regarding misleading & false information upon signing contract.
Required an early termination of contract.
Was verbally advised upon signing up that only a medical certificate was required to cancel membership.
The type of cert (GP or specialist,) & illness/injury specification (temporary or permanent,) was not specified, only that we needed to bring in a medical certificate. I had someone else with me signing up at the same time who was told the same thing & is still under the same impression.
Upon cancellation, the manager advised the fee of $200 was still in place as they required a specialist certificate noting a permanent injury/illness. I had also placed my account on hold during this period as it took a few weeks of back & forth communication to discuss termination, during which I was still being charged $5/week to freeze membership.
The manager advised that the employee I signed up with at the time no longer works there. However, this is irrelevant & the fee should have been waived as he WAS an employee at the time & spoke on behalf of the facility.
They also mentioned I could transfer my account to another new member to avoid paying the early termination fee. However, the contract notes memberships are ‘non-transferable. ’
They are able to waive fees & ignore contract specifications but choose not to for financial gain, disregarding clients’ needs.
It was & is still a huge hassle dealing with them. I have made a formal complaint & do not recommend signing up to this facility.
Make sure you read the contract thoroughly before signing anything & do not be persuaded by anything they say unless it is contracted!

Amazing gym, great people and great equipment. The help I get here when I don’t know what to do is very welcoming and nice. I have seen a very big change since coming here due to the amount of equipment and it being a big gym. 10/10

Awesome gym with great facilities nice and clean, friendly staff, there is everything you need there from equipment to supps and merchandise. Love that they also have a crèche was a bit worried putting my children in at first but honestly the girls in there are amazing they’re so friendly and I know my kids are in good hands, my kids love going.

One of the best gyms I’ve been too, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Angel and Tamara at the front counter making the best shakes and a shoutout to Jamie for always putting a smile on everyone’s faces!

Gym and equipment is great, always up to date and adding more. Friendly and helpful staff; Jaimee is amazing and needs a promotion!

Great facilities and equipment. Welcoming staff. The staff in the creche are great with children, they are kind, helpful, caring, understanding and very accommodating.

Amazing facility to train at new n maintained equipment, good environment on the main floor n reception Jessie is exceptionally talented but doesn’t train legs so gotta bump him down a few points but go sign up it’s a good gym u won’t be disappointed n also ignore any bad reviews they are old n under new management now

Equipment - Space - Hygiene - Easy Car Park - Only gym so far worth the money (First impression is great)

Very out of date equipment, half of which doesn't work. I'm talking treadmills from 1998 with dot-matrix displays. Place is under heavy construction and many walls arent even painted. No air con. Like what the hell? Place is a sauna. Except the sauna. That's under construction. Not joking.

You know that review from 2 months ago about the water bubblers being broken where they say the bubblers being repaired is their highest priority? Well, the bubblers still don't work. So enjoy filling your bottle with tepid tap water. Ew.

Member since opening. No towell no worries. Staff won't help with this at leas 1 3rd.sweating all over equipment.issue. Sick of asking. Very dirty gym compared with other local gyms.

Great environment and people, quality of the gym is amazing everything like new sales manager is a goat and Jessie is a top bloke he’s so friendly n this is the most welcoming gym I’ve ever been with!

Been coming here for 9months now the employees are very chill. The equipment is up to date and serviced well. And the little shop they have has hectic variety.

Amazing gym! Staff are friendly and Shane is always helpful! Shane has given me some amazing fitness tips. THEY ALSO HAVE A SAUNA

Bit of a problem with the access card. The staff said it would be rectified. Staff contacted me and informed me that it was fixed.

Awful gym. Terrible staff that do not care about their members. No social distancing or mask wearing. Gym is dirty. Music is extremely loud. Contract has ended and they were still charging me, be careful of this place! TERRIBLE SERVICE. They don't respond to their emails or their phone!

Alot of the times toilets are unkept, three sinks including one that is always out of order. Toilets aren't really spacious enough. Only two teeny benchs to share between the whole gym especially when it's busy. One clock thoughout the gym that is broken since joining and never had battery replaced. Good thing is alot of equipment and really good quality. Regret joining this gym

Been a member since the gym opened. I moved here from a smaller gym and couldn’t recommend it enough. There’s a vast array of equipment which is well maintained and clean.

The barbell cafe has a great selection of shakes or customise your own. Plenty of supplements, merch and other gym equipment for your needs belts grips etc.

Staff are super friendly and the gym has a great atmosphere. There is an on-site physio. Classes are free with your membership which is an added bonus.

Couldn’t recommend a better gym for all your training needs.
