They accept fitness passport but you have to pay 79$ for the fob. Literally defeats the purpose of fitness passport

The best gym in the Maitland area, staff aren't just employees they're all friends and make everyone feel so welcome, my wife and I have been members for years

Awesome staff, super friendly community and incredibly inclusive. Plus the shakes are both healthy and delicious. My second gym and I'm definitely not changing again.

I’ve travelled all around the world and trained at world class gyms, but this gym in particular definitely takes the cake. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, the equipment is immaculate but the gym culture here beats all the other gyms. Last but not least the music is always a vibe, it’s to the point I don’t need to bring my headphones in. Highly recommend for those looking to join.

Good equipment. Lots of room even when busy. The only downside is their choice of music. Lots of swear words, song after song.

I’ve trained AND worked at world gym since it opened. It was amazing. Everyone in it were lovely and supportive and the atmosphere was welcoming and supportive and just fun.
I haven’t been in the gym for a while now as it’s gone so downhill especially in terms of cleanliness. There’s a lingering constant smell of wet dirty clothes or like a mouldy smell throughout the gym floor. The staff aren’t as welcoming, always on their phones or can’t even look up to say hello. The bathrooms are a disgrace. There is mould, hair and dirt in the showers drains and basins.
Suddenly certain people are allowed to sit on the functional area at any time of the day and eat full on meals with people training all around them. Along with this, it’s become okay for people to walk around the functional area and main weighted are in 6inch heals “practice posing” even though there is a separate MIRRORED room where all the other professional bodybuilders have practiced their posing since the gym opened without an issue. This is intimidating, annoying and hazardous. Members do not respect the personal trainers and their space while coaching clients anymore either.
I wonder when the sauna will be fixed for reals.
I loved the gym to bits when Mike and Mel owned it, they knew what they were doing with the whole place and kept it clean, functional, professional and welcoming. It is none of this anymore.
It’s time to search for a new gym. #BRINGBACKMIKE&MEL.
P. S the creche has no fire escape.

Cleaning staff do an amazing job

I've been in the fitness industry for six years and have managed and been a personal trainer at many gyms. World Gym Maitland is a great gym, with loads of equipment. The vibe is fantastic since the new Manager took over at the start of Jan, he is creating a great club culture, and the facility is a lot cleaner. They even have put nice little toiletries in the bathrooms for members to help themselves. I love how everyday gym goers, powerlifters, strongmen, cross fitters and bodybuilders all come in to use the facility and there is something for everyone!

Staff are friendly and always very welcoming. The crèche is fantastic and the ladies are always is friendly towards my daughter which makes dropping her off easy. Plus they make great protein shakes at the shake bar!

It was a Awesome gym and I couldnt fault the place everyone was so nice and friendly.
But.
In the last few months the gym has gone down hill. The atmosphere has dropped. The cleanliness of the gym is down and broken equipment.

Fingers crossed things get better.
I still love the group fitness and the awesome group fitness instructors and the creche girls who my son loves.

I frequently go to world gym. The staff are very welcoming and I have found it to be a very good atmosphere

I’ve been training at gyms for over 25yrs and have never experienced the quality of gear and the fantastic service these guys give their clients. A big shout out to Jack and Reece for their advice and overall service to me and my family.

Great friendly, energetic and helpful environment. Go out of their way.

Great Gym, Good location, Stocks Muscle Chef Meals, good selection of supplements. Accept WG Travel Passport if visiting. Perfect for keeping yourself accountable while travelling through the Hunter.

I would call it a good gym of a decent size. Has all the equipment I expected and not too crowded. Definitely stands up against Fitness First and would definitely be my preference.

Hands down the best gym I've been a part of. Heaps of equipment. Never crowded. Lots of different bench setups.
