Woodwork for Women

An incredible three days doing the beginners course. Pat is kind, careful and patient teacher. Each days was the perfect blend of instruction and doing. I am empowered to pick up tools and create! Thank you Pat! Everyone should spend the weekend with Pat and work with your hands to create something unique and beautiful!

An amazing learning experience! I appreciated the fact that I learned the basics through manual application and then moved onto the machinery aspect of woodworking. CONFIDENCE is the one word that this workshop provided for me. Patricia's attention to detail and her immense knowledge of woodworking and the woodwork industry was a valuable aspect.

I line the teeth of the Japanese saw up with my penciled line and start my cut. With each pull, I move deeper into the timber but then it gets stuck. The frustration builds inside me fuelling me to saw faster and harder with no result. Patt comes up behind me and says, "There is no room for anger or fury here. Move into your body and feel it. " I take a deep breath. I do what she says and like magic the saw cuts through the timber as though it is a loaf of bread.

A calm thoughtful teacher with empathy for her students. Pat delights in her students progress. A day well spent.

Loved every second of this course. Patt is a special and engaging teacher. The first step in my inspired woodwork journey. Just do it!

Such great fun! Patt is an amazing teacher. The Basic Furniture Making course is perfect for beginners or even those wanting to go away afterwards and try things for themselves.
