Woodwork for Women

This was an excellent two day workshop! Patt is such a generous, intuitive teacher with a wealth of experience and knowledge to share. Every process was expertly explained and we were then empowered to create our own project. Such a brilliant way to learn! Thoroughly enjoyed it and wish there were more!

I was fortunate enough to partake in an intensive, one on one training program with Patt focusing on hand tools. Patt was so thorough in her explanations of each tool, and patient with any questions I had, making sure I completely understood the techniques and processes involved in creating strong joints. I already have extensive woodworking knowledge, mostly using power tools, but during the time with Patt I was able to push my knowledge and skills practice into a new area. Thank you Patt. It was so amazing to work alongside you in your workshop and push my skills development under your tuition. Highly recommend!

Patt is such a patient and kind tutor who is extremely well-versed, a real expert in her field! Her knowledge is really second-to-none, combined with an aptitude for teaching it is quite a rare combination! Thoroughly enjoyed the workshop, got a lot out of it and would do it again.

Just do it! You won't regret it. The detail that Patt covers makes woodwork so intriguing. We all dropped into flow working on our projects.

It also just felt safe and comfortable. Our questions seemed to be genuinely welcomed and encouraged.

Towards the end I forgot to pre-drill and broke what felt like a lot of intricate work. When Patt taught me how to fix it I got to learn so much more. Patt's approach made me really grateful for the mistake. That feels like the definition of a good teacher.

An amazing workshop taught by an amazing woman. Patt has an in depth knowledge of woodworking and the skill to teach in a clear, calm and encouraging environment. The classes are small, so there was lots of individual attention as Patt ensured we understood and could perform each step before moving on. There was no rushing, so I had time to process, absorb and retain what I was taught. I began the course with anxiety as I had not even operated any power tool before, and now I’ve learnt so much I feel confident and empowered with so many new skills. I'm very grateful to have had this wonderful opportunity! Thank you so much Patt:)

Patt’s woodworking course for women was a fantastic experience! I enjoyed every moment and have developed many new skills and tool confidence as a result of doing this course. This wonderful workshop is a journey of self discovery, where you are empowered and nurtured along the way by the ever patient and wise Patt. Patt demystifies much of what we might fear about wood working and carpentry including a hands on teach then do method which is perfectly paced for ease of understanding and confidence AND she loves questions. As a small group it allows loads of individual as well as group support. I can't recommend this experience enough, thank you Patt. Natasha

It was great, i found Patt to be a calm and knowledgeable teacher. I found it informative from the way to stand, to how to cut with hand tools and power tools. The whole experience was fun and i learnt a lot. Can not wait till i join another one!

Patt's fantastic workshop far exceeded my expectations, and my expectations were high! Her generosity of spirit and obvious care to help you achieve your goals really made for an amazing experience. She facilitated overcoming my fear of 'dangerous' power tools and I was competently wielding a nail-gun and powered saws by the end of the workshop. Prior to the workshop, this ability seemed unattainable and overly daunting. Can't wait for the next level! ‍

Patt’s workshop was one of the best things I’ve ever done! For years I’ve wanted to learn how to make something with wood and she was an excellent teacher. Class size of 4 women was perfect. I couldn’t recommend highly enough and I can’t wait to do another one. I’m chuffed with the charging station I made too. Excellent value for money.

Thank you Patt for teaching me so much this past weekend. I strongly recommend this course to anyone interested in woodworking no matter your experience, complete beginner or not, you will learn so much in this course. Patt's teaching style is supportive, hands on and a safe place where mistakes are looked upon as opportunities to learn. I've come away with the confidence to use large power tools and basic hand tool skills which I am looking forward to refining. After the course I've got the ability to plan a project from drawing the diagram, creating a cut list, purchasing wood and perform all the basic techniques to execute it as well. I'm so grateful and excited for my future projects, I don't know which one to start first.:)

Patt Gregory's weekend workshop was the best workshop I have done in years. Having never worked with wood at all, I learnt so much and she was so patient with us all, 3 of us. I learnt a lot about different types of timber, also given a chance to use large power tools I have never used before. Making our own individual project and being shown how to measure and cut and drill and types of screws, wow, so much in a weekend, and so inspiring and friendly a person is Patt. Thank you so much Patt for your wonderful teaching, I look forward to doing another workshop in the future.

I loved my 3 days with Patt at her Woodworkers for Women course. I highly recommend this course. Patt is very knowledgeable and explains things very easily. I learnt so many new things and can't wait to put them into practice.

Such an amazing experience. Patt has such extensive knowledge and is incredibly patient and thorough in her teaching. Her eagle eyes keep you on track. I’d highly recommend Patt to anyone brand new to woodworking and also those looking to further their skills.
