Absolutely irresponsible and reckless company. Our unit has been without operational smoke detectors for over 5 weeks. After multiple calls & emails I still don't get a reply or feedback on when it will be fixed.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They are completely unprofessional they do not reply to emails. They don't give any call back and hang up in your face. Nothing gets done. Avoid them like the plague.

We have changed our strata manager and have to say that was the best decision as Amanda and Elizabeth have been very helpful, responding to our inquiries quickly and job was done. Very high quality of service. Thank you Amanda and Elizabeth for your help.

I have worked with WPG over a number of years as a consultant. I have found their managers to be switched on and very efficient in providing any assistance needed.

I thought our previous strata management was bad. Since Whelan appointment - it's all spend, spend, spend.budget poorly managed and owners are bitterly disappointed all round.

Lack of Building Management and Security.

Was planning to invest in few months, definitely not going with Whelan for sure.
(Big time Disappointed)

Whelan Property Group are the Strata Managers of a number of buildings where I own investment properties and in my experience I've found them to be responsive, honest, accurate with governance, polite and thorough. Importantly I have personally experienced the strength with which the Whelan team can manage challenging Strata Committees to deliver positive outcomes for the Strata Scheme. Furthermore, Christopher Whelan, the principle, has on a number of occasions, personally assisted me with Strata related questions and assisted to resolve issues concerning buildings where his company is not paid to provide support. I would highly recommend Whelan based on their strong performance and the willingness to go above and beyond.

Take forever to reply to you, and don't care about tenants. Last issue I had with them left me with a hole in my ceiling for two months. This time, after my apartment partially flooded, the plumbers Whelan sent almost left the job halfway through because Whelan called them and told them to go so their preferred plumber could do the work two days later, even though the leak was ongoing, and I would've had to turn off my water for days. I had to call up the Strata in a panic to get them to stay! After that I had to wait half a week to get a reply about the follow up to damage within my apartment. I needed feedback in order to be able to carry through on advice from the plumbers Whelan sent. I was told they were too busy to get back to me, as opposed to understaffed, or unable to delegate sending very simple feedback based on information they already had.
Very frustrating end to a very frustrating week. Their reception staff are great, but getting a job completed requires constant messages and calls, or they simply will not reply to you. I wouldn't have minded the huge bill I ended up with quite so much if they'd simply forwarded the information as they had received it.

Unprofessional, last minute demands and will wash their hands with any problem, with an attitude of "if no-one else has this issue, its not an issue" mantra.

The type of management company that doesn't help, assist or provide solutions, but rather brush everything under the carpet till you either give up or give in waiting for a sensible response or reasoning.

Example - 2 weeks gone without a reply, chasing up and they going on the defensive in the hope you just walk away from the matter.

I contacted them & visited them only once to search about a property for which they manage the strata. But, this one experience was very positive. I emailed them my desire to buy a unit and requested if I could visit them to search details such as the AGM minutes etc. I was asked to go to their Parramatta office since that office managed this strata. Emma attended to me and provided an outstanding service to help me determine the past history. This left me with an impression they are really excellent in their documentation & management as Strata agents, using Technnology very effectively.

We had 4 strata managers over the 3 years we were with Whelan and there were organisational and communication issues. Keys were ordered and not able to be located but the director responded to reviews and refunded the costs as well as 3 months management fees. Hopefully things have improved.

I've amended my review of the services provided. As we have gained more time and experience with them, the quality of service has changed.

We've been with Whelan Property Group for over two years now. Our building is near new and we have undergone proceedings to rectify defects, Whelan's have assisted with getting this process rolling forward. Emails are always replied to in a decent time frame.

Communication to owners and Strata Committee could be far better. It's now become a part time job having to follow up communications with them as tasks seem to fall to the side and left or forgotten. I've lost many hours of work just to follow up issues and concerns they should be addressing as management of the building. Their administration of the strata levies collection leaves a lot to be desired.

Whilst dealing with staff is pleasant, it does not compensate for the level of service or quality of experience we receive.

Would like to support Matt Dalton's review and others that this company may use improper voting tactics, especially when trying to achieve something in their favour. We had an incident with them a few years back where there was a lot of unnecessary spending. They also neglected to inform a large majority of the owners and occupants on a meeting that was important as it involved voting on various financial and representative matters – no letters, no calls, nothing. Fortunately, most of the occupants were aware what was going on by then so turned up regardless through word of mouth. They haven't gotten too out of line and to be fair, have been consistent since then, but would definitely recommend others to keep an eye out for anything dodgy. Also they’re not responsive to inquiries. Have emailed them twice this year, once regarding building maintenance and just recently, regarding a bill payment. Did not receive a response either times. They’re prompt with their levies invoices though!
