UFC Gym Rockdale reviews
63I highly recommend this gym to anyone striving to achieve their fitness goals! The gym and the MMA classes are offered separately, so if you're only interested in using the gym facilities and not into MMA, it's still a great fit for you. Personally, I enjoyed both the MMA classes and the gym area. The atmosphere is welcoming, with a strong sense of teamwork and mutual support for everyone's progress. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Fodi for taking care of me during my time in Sydney. Unfortunately, I've had to relocate to Melbourne. If you're in Sydney and haven't become a member of UFC Gym Rockdale yet, you're truly missing out on something amazing!
Been a member here for a year now and love training it here. Clean and loads of space. Opening hours are great also
Great atmosphere, with great equipment,
I’ve been here for over a year now and love it.
With the help of the gym I’ve seen a complete change in my physique.
I’ve even tried an mma and a few Muay Thai classes and can say that the coaches are amazing and push you to reach your potential.
The staff are super friendly and are always available to help whenever you need them too
Was amazing to watch the Kanye spar against Connor megregor and retain the wwe world heavyweight title.
Great customer service from the staff, competitive membership price, always clean and excellent atmosphere to train at.
Would recommend to anyone!
I love this place. Always get great vibes from the atmosphere. The staff and even gym goers are friendly. I signed-up 3 children and found Foti and Raoul to both be really friendly and helpful that persisted even after signing up. The kids classes with Anthony and Kyle are fun and my children always leave this place in a positive mood.
Super friendly atmosphere with great equipment, staff and community. I was a bit nervous to join my first mma class, not knowing what to expect, but everyone was extremely welcoming and encouraging. I’ve now been here for 2 years and there’s no looking back
At the first sight the place is amazing but once you start you routine the issues come out. Me and my girlfriend are around for a few months and we share the same opinion. There are only three decent receptionists, the manager himself is super friendly and two other works (one of them just left) all the rest just sit the whole day on a chair and sometimes they greet you.
The weight lifting area is a complete mess. There are a few equipment that I never seen been used taking place of other equipment that would be more useful like another popular machine. They have only one functional Leg press which makes it always busy. Equipment set up is a caos and you need to zig zag between them during your session.
Recently a huge amount of weights were added to the gym. Obviously it is good to have more available but for no reason once they have only one of the most popular equipments. Now the place is looking worse because there are weights all over the place and no one put them away after use. There are signs say that fees are going to be applied if you don’t put your weights away, but clearly that’s not happening. They should have someone on floor approaching the clients who are not collaborating or organizing themselves organizing the place because it’s annoying putting away someone’s weights.
Cleaning it’s been another issue. A place with so high rotation of people should get cleaned at least twice a day for the toilets and once a week for the rest of the place.
One last thing is that I guess that one of the most attractive things is the name UFC but from the UFC they have just the name and some pictures on the wall.
The overall of the fight classes are pretty much low in my opinion. I had the opportunity to take a BJJ class which was fine but I didn’t feel comfortable in taking a Muay Thai class because a heard from friends and have seen clients that came out of an trial class say that the beginners class isn’t for beginners. Apparently is clear that the coach doesn’t really like to coach clients that aren’t professional fighters or are looking to be one day.
Generally speaking the place is great, but need some attention.
Amazing gym with high quality coaching offered across both the beginner and higher level MMA classes, delivered in a friendly manner creating a great training experience. Extremely welcoming environment formed by the coaches and athletes of all levels.
Team here are top notch, all the way from the front desk staff to the coaches/trainers. Couldn’t recommend a better gym to go to; from having weights to boxing classes, this gym covers it all, plus a post workout protein shake to really hit the gains.
UFC gym rockdale are always friendly and helpful; what impresses me most is the incredibly high level of coaching on offer.
There are many many classes filled with athletes who train hard, but who also take the time to welcome new students and help them feel comfortable.
The facilities are brilliant, and the fees very affordable.
Since the motorway construction started, parking can at times be tricky but gym management has done their best to help members find alternate parking.
I had a negative experience unfortunately talking to Simon Mooney the new club manager at Wetherill Park. He is really rude and unprofessional! How did he even become a manager when he doesn’t know how to do his job and refuses to hire women in sales. He thinks he can say and do whatever he wants because he is manager but he is bringing the club down. I will never recommend UFC to anyone because of him! He is bringing the club name down! Fire him!
Decided to do a 3 day trial so I could try out the wrestling classes. Met Sam the wrestling instructor/coach who was very welcoming but also a great character & mindset for the sport that requires discipline. Great job from the UFC to hire him. A new member gained because of him- Looking forward to learning and training. Highly recommend!
Great gym, great people, the gym is always clean and everyone has a great attitude with keeping weights on racks.
Great family and community based gym. From the manager to the members this is a great place to train.
I've trained in many gyms all over the world and UFC Rockdale is one of the better gyms you could train at.
Do yourself a favour and go cause you won't be disappointed.
An amazing place to train, every class tests your strength, fitness and stamina! Definitely recommend the MMA, BJJ and boxing classes to improve skill and endurance!
Went into the gym with high expectations. Straight off the bat, bad vibes. What was advertised isnt actually true acc to the guy at the front desk even though i had called up earlier to confirm everything. Waste of time. Work out free January actually means 3 daya free trial. I was like ready to join but i just wanted to trial the place thru my whole workout week to see how i feel but this first impression just screamed greed. I still gave them the benefit of doubt went into the gym. Cheap equipment labeled as state of the art. Any gym rat that goes in there will instantly recognise the cheap barbell and the weight plates.
I dont want to rant too much but to any person trying to go a ufc gym to get like a lifting workout i woukd suggest u stayaway. I cant comment too much on their bjj and other Mma stuff but as purely a gym thus place is way overpriced for what it is. Doesnt even have enough weight plates.
I guess they dont advertise themselves as being a weightlifting gym to begin with but i just wanted to post this so that you dont waste your time thinking the same i did.
Hands down best gym I have ever signed up to. The gym equipment is clean and there is an amazing variety to work every part of your body. There are so many cardio equipment as well. The classes are amazing, the coaches are fantastic, we use equipment for classes and they are constantly changing. You can use any equipment available in the gym, everyone is very easy going. The only issue is that certain hours it gets really busy and hard to access all the equipment you want to use upstairs (if you are on time schedule like me), so you need to work out the best time that suits you. If I am going at evening busy time, I will do a class anyway so it doesn't phase me at all. There are healthy meals and shakes as well, which is great if you are on the run and need to pick up something quickly - you don't need to look further than the gym. I recommend this gym to everyone and I always see people walk in, have a look and sign up. They offer trial classes as well before you sign up to the class and groupon has specials as well.
Price wise - very reasonable price ie $32 pw. I was paying $250 per month just for bootcamps with no weights equipment - that was overpriced. If you want a clean gym, proper working equipment and awesome classes, you need to pay a reasonable price. You get what you pay for.
I attended this gym for over a year. The cleanliness and overall condition of the gym is of a high standard.
Unfortunately tho regarding their terms and conditions, when it comes to leaving or when your membership has expired, I don’t know how else to describe it other than greedy.
I ended up paying alot of money trying to cancel (including 4 weeks notice which is apparently standard across most gyms - don’t know why they need notice like as if their operation will need to adjust over losing one customer lol).
If money isn’t an issue to you, this gym is probably one of the best you’ll find. Otherwise be very careful with the Terms & Conditions when signing up because you’ll be paying for alot of unexpected fees.
I think this place is good for you to lose fat and train for boxing. And if you have boxing training, i can tell you its pretty intense and hard to get through to the point you sweat. This place is very good
