Possibility the worse builder in NSW. Poor quality built by under qualified nephews of the owner who most likely didn’t attend year 7 at high school. Every building TopPlace has built has terminal problems. Don’t do it.

I just want to know when you can fix all the structural defects of the building in canterbury? Months? Years? We can’t refinance and can’t sell our property and afford heavy burden for instance!

BUYER BEWARE

Do not rent or buy these apartments. The ones who have already bought these apartments for investment are now struggling and will not tell you about the defects and issues this building faces everyday. The developer is now overseas absconding from charges and people have lost their hard earned money buying and renting here losing their hard earned income. It’s a shame the government has not done much here and there are some local council members involved in bribery cases and are on the run as well.

What a disgraceful developer. The building at Crane Road has NO PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE BUILDING requiring you to walk through the driveway which I'm pretty sure is illegal. I had to go to a medical centre here (lovely bunch) for context.

I feel sorry for the small businesses here since it makes it all but impossible for the public to actually access the small amount of shops here. No wonder it's all for lease even though technically it's prime real estate right next to castle Hill Mall.

I had to walk around the parking lot only to find all 4 lifts are not for access for the retail shops. Almost got hit by a car.

You will be one of the bravest persons in the world to buy property developed by Toplace.

You will be dealing with the unbelievable best of the worst teams you have ever engaged in your facet of life.

If you still insist to purchase and settle the property, welcome to hell.

As mentioned by previous reviewers, you will most likely be forced to settle a lot faster with tons of defects (more to that later). Once money is received, you can kiss goodbye to having communication with the developer or relevant parties. No one from Toplace or their Customer (don’t) Care representatives look at your queries anymore.

Each team within Toplace DOES NOT talk to each other.

You will be suddenly requested to book a pre-settlement inspection ASAP. But once you arrive to the building location, you will be shocked to find the site is literally a construction site with blocked pathways, unclear entry or exit signs to the building, constructions (dangerous sharp) material everywhere including nails on ground and also uneven dangerous footpath for children or senior citizen to walk on.

Once you enter your unit, either you arrive at wrong unit or you will gasp to the amazing unprofessional BEST Quality ever displayed by Toplace professionals.

You will discover tons of defects EVERYWHERE in your apartment. The moment you discover more and more defects during this inspection, the marketing department personnel (Colliers agent in my case) will RUSH you to see the garage. Seriously, do people need to inspect in details about the parking lot?

The Colliers / Toplace agent will hassle you to finish because you will keep discovering defects. So bring your friends or family to inspect!

WARNING: whatever written on pre-settlement defect list inspection is FINAL.
Subsequent defects discovered in the following days will be IGNORED.

Defects hall of shame:
- Footstep mark on the wall. Motivated worker must have worked hard enough to kick the wall leaving a visible footstep. This was an immediate embarrassment even with the Colliers agent who saw it. So regretful we didn't take this photo.
- Unbelievable painting skills throughout the unit from uneven colour of all walls to paint marks all over the place including grouts.
- Big crack on ceramic floor.
- Chipped material for all visible surface either in the kitchen area, wall everywhere or bathroom.
- Cigarette burned on toilet seat. As a plus, workers use your toilet and not clean it properly.
- Motivated workers use your aircon and does not turn it off.
- Rust on non-stainless-steel hinges (their choice of standard of high-quality material is impressive).
- Paint residuals and material clogging in draining holes in the bathroom.
- Sawdust.
- Mirror is damaged.
- Missing parts e.g. No rubber seal on door frames, missing cover on light switch, flair of flimsy materials throughout the unit, missed alignment of your kitchen equipment or toilet cover.
- Wrong tab water instalment.
- Dysfunctional cupboard.
- Broken plastic material in the wardrobe.
- Miscellaneous defects the longer you observe.
Some photos are provided here.

WARNING again: Any addition to the defect list in the following days will be USELESS after the 30mins pre-settlement checking has passed.

Another unit that we incorrectly entered thanks to the Collier agent's mistake (wasting 5 minutes of pre-settlement inspection time), we saw a bedroom door was completely removed, uneven paints everywhere, etc.

Have I mentioned fire safety issue that is not in conformance and has been questioned by Fire Department? Read the news.

The professionalism of their work ranging from the following.
- Your query will not be responded.
- Your query will be responded but the responder has no idea what you are talking about.
- Your query will be tossed around and no one knows what is going on.
- You will receive a call but the caller has no idea what is going on despite your clear explanation.

Remember, the moment you signed the paperwork Toplace wholeheartedly welcomes you to hell.

Good luck if you are still buying from Toplace.

We are renting. Had a leak in the main bathroom that leaked into our sons room (3/8/22) and caused mould on the wall. So had to use the ensuite bathroom (no issues with that)

Had been battling with Toplace to get the bathroom fixed (finally finished 2.5 months later) and for the mouldy gyprock to be taken out and replaced. We were told on 2/11/22 that it had been done only for me to check it on 3/11/22 after the paint had dried to see that the mould had simply been painted over! Unbelievable!

In the meantime, while we were using the ensuite bathroom, that then leaked into our main wardrobe chasing bags of my clothes to become mouldy and ruined and also our tall boy dresser to get water damaged and falling apart at the bottom! Promised they would fix it, we still haven’t heard from them 5/11/22…

Absolutely atrocious. Zero stars.

They are awfully bad in fire alarm system; it goes off frequently midnight or early morning. If you cannot do the job appropriately, accept the project on your scale simply.

I had an excellent experience from the Toplace rental team, in particular Jacqueline Cho. She is prompt and responsive and easily accessible and willing to take on any extra tasks relentlessly. She is also attentive and was able to lease my unit out within a very short time frame. Than you, Jacqueline! I would recommend anyone to use Toplace's service unreservedly.

I recently requested assistance from Stuart Arndell in relation a tenant. He was very professional in delivering both a commercial and expedient outcome. Very much appreciated

I bought a toplace built unit (Astral development) through PIA. I have to say that both organisations are a blemish on property development. But Toplace go above and beyond in their lack of ability and shoddy work and have no pride in their work. We are talking about doorhandles fitted incorrectly. Airconditioning installed incorrectly. Windows that have enormous gaps which are gateways for the wind to blow through and not to mention no carpet fitted to the floors. Yes folks I do not have carpet in my bedrooms only room sized rugs. When the defects were asked to be repaired I got a confirmation email from PIA telling me how pleased they were to inform me that all defects had been rectified but my tennants tell me that nobody even turned up. Toplace no topr$1ks. Its unfortunate that i cannot give no stars.

Abusive staff and when alerting their company to construction doing illegal things they ignore and shout at you. Steer clear and do research into this company. They have multiple buildings being shut down for falling apart

Corrupt. I wonder how many brown paper bags they pack with cash for every development?
It is the only way the can get away with ruining so many people’s lives.
Now that Gladys is gone, who might be the liberal politician to continue facilitating?

Take a look at these photos from one of the units in Botany.thats all I need to say. Doesn't even deserve one star. Atrocious service. Cracks through the building continue. Will be going to the media until this group rectifies our issues. We are also currently in litigation and Toplace do not return calls nor are they even here to fix issues or rectify the waterfalls in the carpark when it rains

In response to Toplace's Skyview buildings' defects exposure, the company states that they will be liable for any structural issues in the complex for 20 years. The question is, will Toplace still exist after 20 years?
