The Epping Club

I've generally enjoyed my visits to the Epping Hotel; however, my opinion changed based on my experience on 22 January 2024, around 7 PM. I ordered two pints of beer when there were two bar staff and no other customers. Still, there was no greeting, no 'please, ' and they didn’t even look at me or my drinks during the entire service; instead, they were engrossed in their conversation with each other. In my view, the manager should invest more time in staff training. The last thing you want after a long Monday is to have unpleasant interactions with your bartender.

We had our wedding here last year. Absolutely loved working with Isabella & Hulio as they were super helpful and appreciate the service and what they did for us.

However, the operations team on the night was absolutely appalling. The food we had in our reception wasn't as good as we expected which was different from the taste test menu. Was disappointing since we paid alot for the Asian Banquet.

The biggest issue are the staffing and bar tender who were rude and inexperienced. I was told that they had a function on the same night and the team was short staffed which was extremely disappointing.

Please hire better staff who can provide a decent hospitality service and make sure they are experienced enough to assist with the wedding functions.

We had our wedding reception at The Epping Club this weekend just gone; the venue is beautiful and the food was delicious. A BIG shout out to Chad who went beyond the call of duty to ensure everything ran smoothly the whole night. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his team of staff. Thank you for making the evening such a memorable celebration!

Our friend came across of the Tyrrell's Wine dinner at the Epping Club and asked if we are keen. Glad we said yes! The wines were paired perfectly with the awesome delicious food! Great work to The Rawson restaurant! We also enjoyed the guest speaker talk on the wines! Thanks Mark@tyrrell's!

We had an event at the Epping Club earlier in the evening today. The staff there is amazing. While all the club staff were great, Julio quickly assisted us with some printouts while Chad was there to help throughout the evening - be it microphones, after event group photos for the core team, etc.
It's such staff members that live the values of true customer service that makes a place awesome. Kudos to your entire team.

Had lunch at Rawsons restaurant inside the club. Nice food and excellent service.
Good fine dining experience.

Very nice club with a wide variety of food selections.
Close & easy walk from Epping rail station.

I like this club however noting it has the satellite RSL embedded I would have expected better response from staff when Defence members are there as paying customers.

Went with friends in the area.

Great bistro! Food is well made, well done to kitchen staff! Bar and floor staff friendly and accommodating! Shout out to young Luke who made the evening a fun one!

Great, friendly and very helpful staff from the moment you walk in you are met with a smile. We had a family celebration of 9 people in the Rawson Restaurant, we were given an area for just us which was really nice. Service was a bit slow but not the fault of the staff as they didn’t have enough staff working for the amount of people dining.

Although the staff were run off their feet, nothing was too much trouble.

A really lovely day! Thank you to all!

As always, a great experience at the Epping Club. Even though is was busy on Friday night, patrons were greeted professionally by reception staff, especially Taylor who was super-cool and professional under pressure.
Once in the club, it was an all-round enjoyable night. Highly recommend this place.

Dined in Rawsons a few weeks ago with the family. Probably the best a la carte RSL restaurant in Australia. Food exceptional and price amazing.

Place where my wife and I would go for a decent dinner! The Rawson's restaurant serves quality food with great service. The proce is also very suitable!

I love this club it is my home Club and the staff are wonderful and friendly I have been a member there for 20 years and will continue to do so for the next 20 years hopefully
Rawsons restaurant is good but I preferred the old Bistro The Way It Used To Be where you can sit down and have a cheaper choice of meal for the pensioners.
The prices have gone up far too much and I prefer to eat elsewhere

Joined 3 yrs member for only $25. Great meal we'd special for $10 complimentary when I joined. Played digital mahjone. Great place to go

Just had our wedding there, and seriously, it couldn't have gone any better! The Events team promised us a 5-star experience, and they delivered!
From the planning process, Adriana and Sunaina were professional, very responsive, open and honest, and were able to accommodate our needs.
On the night, Agnes, Rob, Zoe, and the team ensured the event ran smoothly (even picked up on one of our appointed vendors' deficiency and fixed it to ensure we had the perfect wedding!). The food, service and lighting on the night were top notch too!
The venue itself (with the beautiful chandelier and grand ballrooms) really surprised the guests who didn't expect that a wedding in an RSL can be that beautiful.

Epping Club = epic club. Amazing decor for an RSL club. Service is standard, the ambience is stand out. The food is okay, drinks are also up to scratch. I would not hesitate to visit again if situation permits.
