The Enmore Theatre reviews
72The very best show venue, just saw Adam Hills Funny with a capital "F" would highly recommend. Now going to keep an eye on shows coming. Parking is at a premium good luck finding any, if you do have deep pockets or come by train as it's close by (easy walk)
You guys need to adequately police the vaping inside the theatre! It's unacceptable that people are vaping and there is zero signage to reinforce this or attempt to stop people who are!
My wife, a friend and my son went to see James Reyne's concert tonight. And without notification, concert was postponed again. My Mrs and her friend works in age care and both cancelled shifts to be able to watch the show. Spent money on a good night out, only to be disappointed. I had to drive them and pick them up in Enmore spending money and time on tolls and petrol. Encore theater, SHAME SHAME SHAME. James Reyne. SHAME ON YOU. NOT A GOOD AUSSIE THING TO DO. People were so upset.
Great venue to see live acts. Big enough for you to be able to get tickets but small enough to feel all seats are good. Under going some renovations at the moment. The neon Deco look is great and I can't wait to see it completed.
One of the most iconic venues in Sydney.its always special seeing your favourite artists in a sweaty crowded mosh at the enmore.
Comfortable theatre in the middle of a hot dining precinct with endless variety of shows, mostly comedy.
A classic venue for Australian music. It's an intimate venue with no bad seats. And while the acoustics aren't always the best, you get to be up close to the artists. Special mention goes to the loose wooden floor that flexes an alarming amount when the crowd gets jumping.
Love this theater! It’s a classic in Newtown, cozy seats, great acoustics, and isn’t too big. Have been a few times and doesn’t disappoint! There’s also a bar upon entrance for drinks. If you’re looking for dinner beforehand, there are plenty of places nearby that are wonderful!
Iconic theater. Saw Daniel Sloss and what a buzzing theatre. Friendly staff and clever use of interior design. Drinks bar available but no food. Very limited light snacks available (e.g small Pringles). Efficient booking and seating. No on-site parking.
Great event, saw the comedy show. The theatre itself is very dated, the seating is uncomfortable and tiny. No arm space and I am small.
Important piece of Sydney. Have been to many performances here pre Covid. Biggest pain is parking, many of the surrounding streets are residential and metered. Best to catch a cab or uber like service to be dropped off and picked up.
Here and the bald stag hold so many memories for me, love this joint except for trying to get a park
What have you done! The new seating is terrible upstairs I couldn't see the band. Somebody tapping their foot six seats away made the whole row sway.
I'm sure WHS, licencing, insurance was satisfied but you forgot about us the punter. Cheap seats plastic rubbish. Culture of theatre gone.
Extremely helpful and kind staff, unique atmosphere, great acoustics and viewing angle even from back rows, comfortable temperature, within close proximity to food and drink.
Great place to go see your favourite “thing”. But there isn’t really anywhere to place your drinks or snacks. Recommend carrying light
Amazing place to go see my favourite comedian. The ushers were really welcoming and the set up for the stage was great too! As a first time visit, would definitely return!
I dread going to events here. The security can be needlessly aggressive and overzealous. They have ejected my friend before for appearing too drunk (she had 1 drink) and myself for smoking in the venue (I wasn't). Missed out on seeing my favorite artist who I had been waiting to see for more than 5 years. Fix this please.
Never been here before seen American country singer luke combs they couldnnt have found a better place for this concert
The venue is starting to show its age and the selection of drinks is very ordinary. There are however ample facilities and the Enmore is surrounded by lots of choice in restaurants and pubs. Parking may require a walk but the train station is close by.
