The Back Dr Shellharbour

Terminate services on first week of January, 2024 and ask for refund those over charged. Unfortunately after three phone calls & five emails follow up but still no responds. Staff very nice and polite but administrative or management need to wake up. This is not good experience and I will not recommend.

Since breaking my collar bone last year, the back doctor has helped me become more symmetrical in my posture, relieve tight muscles from stress and educate me on how my body should function and ways to continue 10000/10 best thing I’ve done for my health

8 weeks ago I pinched a nerve in my neck, shooting pain all the way down my arm. I tried different remedial massages but found little improvement. I was lucky to have a friend tell me about The Back Doctor. After a couple of sessions, the pain was gone with each adjustment.

From the moment you walk into the practice, you feel welcomed and valued. Every member of staff is enthusiastic, energetic and happy help. Upon the initial consult, xrays are taken then the results are evaluated and reported back to you with a corrective plan.

The facilities are modern, the equipment is specialised and I speak from personal experience, you will be in safe hands.

Coming here has been a miracle. I suffered from being able to breath normally, there were days of anxiety because I could not breath correctly. In the past all I had were Doctors that prescribed acid reflux tablets, and specialists never found anything after colonoscopies. However, after 13 years, my wife got me to come the Back Dr, after taking on their 4 month accelerated path, I was able to breathe normally again, after 13 years. Not only breath but my posture has changed tremendously and I have gotten so much education and I understand the importance of wellness care in the midst of a world where they just tell you to take a pill. Treatment from The Back Dr, Shellharbour has made me feel 100x better! I have gone from needing to stretch to start my day everyday to now being able to hop, skip, jump out of bed trouble free… the system and process is streamline and the scheduling and appointment planning is hassle free. Also quite a fun positive vibe in the practice which is refreshing.

Before I attended the Back Doctor Shellharbour I was suffering from neck pain, sore shoulders and pain and burning sensations in my leg which was making me reluctant to do my daily walking and hindering my work life.
After my consultation and X-rays to see what was going on I was put on a schedule to get my back to how it should be.
I have been going for 5 weeks and the difference is amazing already, I no longer have sore shoulders or neck pain and the burning sensation in my leg has ceased.

I cannot rave enough about how fantastic the whole crew is here. When I first started, I could barely walk, sit, stand or sleep without being in sometimes horrible pain from a poorly treated lower back and hip injury sustained 10+ years ago. Now while I'm still mending after 8 months of care, I have not felt this good since before the injury because all I have known is pain and aches. I love the flexibility for appointments, the holistic approach, the ongoing program/ progress reviews and exercise plans, and just how KIND and caring ALL the staff are. I was very dubious and scared of chiropractic care at first due to hearing "horror stories, " but I bit the bullet thinking it couldn't make it any worse - now I wish I started years ago. I have had a bad back for years. It has affected me with my sleep, day to day living but especially my job. I have seen Chiropractors and physiotherapists over the years. A lot of good Physios are great but get to busy to get in for an appointment.

I have been seeing The Back Dr Shellharbour for 7 weeks, on a weekly basis and I am not in any pain. I have been on painkillers for many years and I’m now off them. I can not recommend them enough. They have changed my life. 5 star rating

I first came in after recommendation from my Co-Workers and I am absolutely blown away by their exceptional service and attention to detail in my ongoing care. After moving to the region a few months ago I found my back and general health starting to dip and booked an initial consultation and assessment with the team with X-ray's (Something I never had before whilst attending similar physicians.) The scans and follow up with Dr. Ben showed that some major work needed to be done and they plotted out a plan of continuous care with expected timelines to reach said goals. I was thoroughly impressed by this in that I knew upfront what I needed to do to improve my health and how long it would take. Now a few months down the track I can see the improvement with Progress Sessions and I feeling better than ever and have the team to thank at The Back Dr!

Went to the Back Dr with major lower back pain not being able sleep comfortably and issues getting dressed due to the pain. Following my initial consultation I started a 2 sessions per week and within 6-8 weeks the pain and sleepless nights had gone. The Back Dr targeted the issues I had with my back and neck and with a proper exercise routine I've turned the corner and feel 100% better and feel changes in my posture and stance.
