I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to get into photography. I attended the beginners course and had practiced with my camera for a couple of months prior, but this course gave me the exact amount of information I needed to really feel confident and be able to go out and take photos knowing what to do. The course provides you with the foundations and theory you need, and then exposes you to a range of topics from night to composition to editing. The tutors are so knowledgeable- I had Glenn Lockitch who was fantastic. The groups are small, my one had only 7 of us, which provided plenty of direct communication, coaching and practice. I would 100% attend another course at Sydney Photographic Workshops. Thank you!

Thoroughly enjoyed the 8 week course. Glenn our tutor was great and definitely learnt a lot and hopefully will continue practising all the knowledge and skills I have gained.

Great night photography session during VIVID! Was provided some new tips and had my memory jogged about ones I knew about and had forgotten! Thoroughly enjoy the training offered by Sydney Photographic Workshops, the classes are always the right size and the trainers are friendly, helpful and very professional. An Introduction to Lightroom. A 4 week course that gives a view into managing your photos and workflow. Daniel is an excellent photographer and his workshop is perfect for these courses. The approach for learning was a bit daunting for me, as the course covers a wide range of options to start. The progressive program builds each week. Daniel has good insight into what is/and will be important.once you get your head around it.

Best basic photography course ever - Knowledgeable instructor, photography concepts are taught at good learnable phase makes us comfort and brings more confident in photography. Flexible make up classes, repeat classes are useful for slow learners. Field trip on 6th week of the course adds feather in your photography cap.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the beginners course. The sessions were really informative and not overwhelming, and the practicals were exactly what we needed to bring it all together.
The teachers were really friendly and engaging. The final night presentation was a great opportunity to get some direct feedback and tips on what we can do to improve/change our shots.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get into photography.

Having attended several of the SPW workshops and waiting extra time because of Covid, this experience lived up to all expectations. The day was full of teaching and practice, kind of tiring, but worth every penny.

My first encounter was with Wendy over the phone while I was searching for a photography course. It was her care and genuine advice that lead me to secure my booking with Sydney photographic workshops. She was wonderful to deal with, as I was unsure which workshop would be best for me. She was 100% right with her recommendation. I did the 8 week beginners course, as a self taught photographer I was concerned i might know a lot of the content. Let’s just say I didn’t realise how much I DIDNT know. Daniel was my teacher, he is an outstanding photographer so learning from him has been a game changer for my photography. Absolutely loved my 8 week DSLR beginners course with SPW. Each week we focused on something different and were shooting in manual by week 3! The field trip was a highlight and it really helped me put all our theory into practise. Wendy was also fantastic to liaise with and was quick to answer any of my questions! Would recommend this course to anyone who is new to photography or who wants to learn more about shooting in manual!

An amazing course with super friendly team. I started the beginners course knowing little about photography and cameras, finished the course feeling very confident and comfortable, shooting in any condition and mode. Gaining a far better understanding of how to operate the camera and its possibilities.
Definitely recommend to anyone thinking about doing a course a SPW. Looking forward to completing the other workshops they offer.

Exceptional photography course, thoughtfully planned and conducted. I learn't so much, boosting my confidence immensely. Opening my eyes to so many more light possibilities and opportunities, when it comes to portraits. There is lots of click time, and I walked away with some amazing portrait photos. Daniel is an incredibly talented and creative photographer, who is also very generous with his knowledge. If you want to take your portrait photography to the next level, I would thoroughly recommend this course.

Great experience at the PREMIUM PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP, Daniel and Wendy are really professional and are always making sure everyone is learning, Daniel is a great teacher and shares all his tips and knowledge with us, the hospitality at workshop was amazing, the models at the workshop were really professional and great to work with. If you are looking after a good workshop and a great experience definitely worth 100% the money IMO.

We booked this for our 15 year old son who was looking to explore photography. He absoultely loved it. Pretty advanced material was being taught but the way it was presented meant that he understood it, no problems. The very professional, very exerienced team made for a really wonderful experience. Highly reccommend.

I attended a course on Saturday 11th December 2021. There were 10 of us ranging in age from teenager to senior. I would have been the eldest at 74. We started at Customs House Circular Quay then walked to the lift up to Cahill Expressway then through the Rocks finishing at Observatory Hill.
Lucky the sun was shining you couldn't do this course if it was raining because it is all outdoors.
Our instructor Glen was superb, a very patient man with heaps of experience as a Professional Photographer. He had to know all the different cameras and was able to help everyone individually as well as group learning. I will now try to avoid always using the Auto setting on my Camera or using my iPhone. It will mean lots of practice to get full value from what Glen has taught us.
