Sydney Photographic Workshops

I did a two hour session with Daniel yesterday as I wanted to understand the photography tools that my new Samsung S23 phone has and how and when to use them.
I'm not a photographer so this was a great session for me as the symbols and words didn't mean a lot to me so to have them explained means I will be more likely to know what mode or setting I should use in the future when I take photos or videos for myself, to share or for posting on instagram.
I also now understand more about light and lines and what makes a good picture. Who knows I may progress to buying a camera, but for now this session has set me up to try new things rather than just point and press. Now I just need to practise so I don't forget everything as we covered quite a lot in that two hours.
Lovely location close to the train station, easy to book (thank you Wendy) and Daniel's coaching was excellent.

Such a useful and excellent workshop and I learned a lot from Daniel at day one I knew nothing about digital camera but now that I have learned a little bit a feel like I am so addicted to my camera and I want my camera be with me all the time. So all big thank you to Daniel for being a good photographer teacher to us

Great full-day Portraits workshop. Daniel is super creative and went to great lengths to set the day up in a really interesting location, with different models in the morning and afternoon. Such a good way to learn.

Terrific street photography session with Glenn. I picked up quite a few new techniques while also capturing some great shots. And it was a lot of fun!

I have recently completed the digital photography course with Dan at Sydney Photographic Workshops. I learnt so much. Dan is supportive of everyone's learning trajectory. He gives everyone the space and time to answer questions and provide feedback. Wendy, in administration, is really friendly and welcoming (and Baxter the dog is pretty welcoming too!

Thanks for Saturday, the day cleared up my questions on how to take photos in that kind of situation.

I left early as I was very tired but I counted it as a successful afternoon.

I recently completed the 8 week, Introduction to Photography course. The tutors were extremely knowledgeable, engaging & excellent communicators. Their passion & enthusiasm for photography was inspiring. I appreciated their patience & encouragement across the course. I found the course both enjoyable & challenging. I highly recommend this course.

Beginners Workshop was fantastic. Well-paced to ensure that a large amount of information was imparted whilst moving along at a good rate and keeping everyone moving along. The teachers are very clearly experts in photography - but what's more their passion for teaching is very clear. Have no hesitation recommending.

Before starting the course, I had a basic knowledge of photography already but often was unable to translate what I saw with my eye into picture form. Glenn, our course leader week by week rebuilt my understanding from the ground up and made me much more confident in taking the pictures I wanted. Highly recommended course!

The beginner course was very good. I learned so much about my camera and how to take photos like a pro;) the teacher was very good, patient and fun! A lot of quality for a very fair price. Lovely people and relaxed atmosphere

I really enjoyed the 8 week beginners journey of photography! It was very informative and practical, giving you a great base and understanding of the fundamentals of photography shooting in manual mode and understanding how to maximise the use of your camera with photography. Daniel Linnet classes were interesting and not overwhelming with too much info always ending with a practical to put the theory into practice. Highly recommend this introduction course.

As my teacher "Daniel Linnet" said on the first session "You will begin to see the world with
different perspective, more clearer as you dive deep into photography", which for me is proving to be true!
So, if you have decided to take upon this magnificent machine "Camera" and want to learn on how to use it to capture the world we are living in presently than I would highly recommend Sydney photographic workshops.

The workshop not only allowed me to fill in the gaps of my camera knowledge, it also ignited my imagination on the possibilities of what can be done once off Auto.
Great value for money

Portrait Photography with Daniel Linnet. An educational day like no other. Daniel flipped my understanding of exposures and how to use and control natural light plus external lighting techniques. Yet whilst technically excellent, somehow managed to make it all creative at the same time. An extremely rewarding day! Kudo's also to Wendy for all the logistics and Mike for his assisting role plus the excellent models:)
I'll be back for the flash course next year for sure. If need to understand how to take portraiture to the next level, you can't beat Daniel's course. Cheers Manjul

The 8 Weeks Beginners course was an enjoyable learning experience for me. Daniel taught the course theory in a clear and concise way making it easy to understand. He was happy to answer questions along the way and share a number of useful tips and tricks. The course helped me to gain confidence using my camera in a variety of situations. The on-location workshop run by Daniel and Wendy Linnet was nothing short of magical. Every detail had been thought of, from the location, preparation, briefing, crew, transportation, catering.including a special "cheese board" cake for my birthday as it happened to fall on the week we were away. The practical tips were priceless and they curated a wonderful group of passionate photographers - not a single dull or awkward moment. I will be doing more workshops in the future, for sure!

Sydney Photographic Workshop’s Monte Cristo Photographic Retreat is well worth the time, effort and expense. With Daniel’s broad rang of knowledge and expertise he is able to impart to you a unique understanding of the photographic art.
Wendy’s organisational skills are amazing she is able to keep everything flowing, running on time and all needs meet she was loving referred to as Mum by some of the participants as she advised us of the time.
Renee’s makeup skills were amassing and versatile. Renee also ably assisted Wendy in her enormous job. The accommodation, food and location were outstanding with no one wishing for more. All in all a great four days.

Great 4 hr photography course with Glen, in and around Circular Quay. Lots of fragmentary knowledge about exposure, aperture, ISO etc came together in a splendid practical session, with lots of experimenting with settings while taking shots.

These guys are amazing! I did the beginners course which was very interesting and informative. Daniel, as a tutor was very supportive and enthusiastic. The course is structured in a way that facilitates learning and combines theory and practice. Will definietly return to do more courses.
