Sunlite Mitre 10

The range always surprises me for a city hardware store, and the staff are almost always extremely helpful with all my inexperienced DIY shenanigans. They always help me find the right solution to my problems, and aren't afraid to point you to the cheapest item if that's all you need. There's always a friendly face and the service here is so much better than the Bondi Junction store.

Super helpful and friendly staff. The store is way bigger than it looks. They have a good range of products and I'm impressed by their screws and bolts section, so much variety.

The boys on deck at 5.15 on Saturday, at the end of what probably was a long shift, were personable, enthusiastic and most helpful despite the very modest sale. I have never posted any sort of review but I felt that that particular shopping experience deserved some commendation and I'd be prepared to overlook Bunnings in future on the strength of it.

Fantastic service as always! I regularly pop in to this store on my way home from work, and the staff are always really friendly and helpful. They know their stuff and take the time to make sure you get the product you need. I'm so glad they've opening this store on Oxford Street, saves me having to trek into the city when I need something. Highly recommended Thanks again guys!

These guys are amazing always helpful and give great service, something that you rarely get these days. I'm sure this is a great Mitre 8 Store, but I wasn't happy with the way I was treated. I was repeatedly treated like I was stupid, even though I worded my question clearly enough.

I asked a staff member where the fly screens were, was led to them. Fine up until this point.

I did ask for the measurements of the fly screen (width and height aren't specified on the packaging) to make sure the MINIMUM FIXED WIDTH fits our window. Instead of answering my question it was presumed I wasn't bright enough to understand that the width was adjustable.
So we went through the maximum width due to the adjustable nature of the product, the height.back to 'This product is adjustable, so you can make it bigger and smaller and this is the height of the product' over 'You can measure it'. Interesting, but what were the exact measurements of the product? I do understand it's expandable, that's why I asked for an expandable flyscreen in the first place. Obviously. The whole conversation went on for way too long, with me thanking the staff for the help repeatedly to end the conversation so I can go on with my life. I left and went to Bunnings, where I can see the specs of the product.

Unhelpful, rude, arrogant easily the worst shopping experience i have had to endure in a very long time, the staff did not appear interested in wanting to find out what i needed.it will be a very very long time before i will go into a sunlite store again.

Walked into the Paddington Mitre 10 store and was greeted by a young lad named Jason.
Provided with a broken in halve key to my apartment asking "Can anything be done? "
Not only did Jason replace it with a duplicate key, but it was free of charge.
Service? It don't get any better than that.

This new owner has nailed it! I find the normal Hardware stores so un-female friendly and this hardware is so welcoming. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the store layout is so clean and open.
Thanks for making it easy. I don't feel like a fish out of water.

I swallowed my fears and stepped inside Mitre10. Rather than asking me what the heck I was doing in a DIY shop, I was instantly met with a friendly hello and an offer of help. I mentioned the battery I was looking for and she LOOKED IT UP. Apparently there's a battery compatibility book and it turns out that my rare battery was equivalent to a very common one that I could have purchased at any of the other stores I had been to if someone had simply looked it up. Great service.

The old hardware store that was here was a freaking mess. The new one by Sunlite Mitre 10 is genius, so very well done. New products, fantastic lay out and great staff. Really very impressed! Keep up the great work!

I live in Paddington - I found it very hard to find a good, quality hardware store in the area.
Mitre 10 Oxford St Paddington has it all, now under new management with a fresh new exterior it is now my go to one stop shop for all the things I need for around the house.
This weekend I bought a BBQ - Great customer service and a great range of product. Excited to have them in the area!

Exceptional customer service across two team members to help me with a minor home maintenance issue that was easily resolved thanks to their assistance. I'll be coming back!

One of the staff was completely unhelpful, after taking a lot of our time eventually got another staff member to help us. This new staff member didn't listen to our particular problem and made our choice more confusing by giving us too many alternatives, all of which he thought could possibly not work. Altogether a really stressful experience.

My local hardware store, friendly and very helpful service! Always my first stop for anything I need.
