Great service, friendly and very informative. Amazing fresh food, lovely taste. Got to try the Trust Me menu, it's a must.

Sugarcane is not your run-of-the-mill Thai restaurant –actually it's not even a Thai restaurant. But it is outstanding – serving south-east Asian inspired dishes with influences from elsewhere. The service is efficient and friendly, the food fresh, balanced and delightful, the setting gorgeous, the open kitchen a nice point of difference. We opted for the 'Trust Me' menu for $75 each and were impressed with the quality of the cookery and the abundance of dishes, and the speed at which they arrived. Highlights included the crispy chicken with blood plum sauce; the tortilla with crab, green apple, coconut and lime (although the crab was overpowered) ; the green mango salad; the salmon ceviche.actually it was all great. Not a place for a casual meal, save it for when you get a voucher or for a special occasion. Memorable.

I’ve tried whole snapper and beef curry both are amazing! The roti here is the best I’ve had in my life. Definitely gonna come back to try more dishes and the Trust Me Menu.

I’m from Melbourne and go to Sydney solely to go to Sugarcane. I have done this for well over 10 years and most recently on 7/8/22. I first discovered by chance when staying in Surry Hills, Sydney when I was staying near to where Sugarcane used to be located. The quality remains the same, superb. It is my favourite restaurant in the world hands down. My only criticism is it’s still yet to open one in Melbourne.
I recommend getting as many dishes as possible.

Best restaurant in Coogee (not hard), so maybe better described as up there with Ms. Gs and China Doll from food and service standpoint. Everything was delicious, tasty and filled with flavour. All of the items on the bites menu were so tasty, the roti and curry sauce salt and pepper calamari and eggplant curry were perfect. Wine list excellent and cocktails pretty good too. Can't believe it's taken me this long to discover this gem

A great hidden gem in Coogee. I have driven past this place but never realised it’d be such a delightful experience to dine here.

Their food was fresh, tasty & delicious. Their crispy chicken is 2DIE4 and their cocktail - A fist full of dollars is definitely worth trying.more than once!

We had the most wonderful dinner at Sugarcane this evening - the staff were all incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough to ensure we enjoyed our dinner. Clem in particular was great to talk to, and with my partner being coeliac, ensured all of the food was suitable. The pad Thai and fried rice with prawns were terrific, and the cocktail menu was fantastic. Thanks so much to all of the staff!

We had a great time at Sugarcane restaurant. Our group was 14 people but that was not a problem. Great service, exceptional menu and quality of food, 5 star. Thank you we will definitely return.

Absolutely stunning food. Of particular note was the crispy chicken and pork hock. The chilli margarita was also a nice way to start the experience! Thanks to the professional and friendly staff.

This seems like a fusion type of place, a mix of asian and western flavors. The service was very good and there was a nice selection of choices. We came pretty late so some stuff was sold out which was a pitty, however the choices the waiter recommends was decent. Overall, a lovely place for a weekend dine-in

Food was okay.
Not sure what the big fuss was about.
I get it, they're 1.5 hour seatings but there's only so many times it's acceptable that the wait staff ask you are you finished with your food. Perhaps management should not be so greedy and actually have a buffer at the cost of not having as many reservations so people can enjoy their meal and perhaps have a few drinks afterwards in comfort without constant disruptions.

Delicious food and good drinks. Reservations are a must and in advance. Try the chicken! The best.

Wow! Great restaurant. My best Thai food experience since my first That restaurant! All the food was very, very special. Different to your usual run-of-the-mill Thai restaurant. Really awesome. Will definitely go back (even though I live miles away)

The food was excellent, the staff very accommodating, and the cocktails spicy if you want them that way. A nice view of Coogee even on a rainy day.

We had a really tasty evening at this romantic restaurant on our first night in Coogee. We picked the surprise me menu and loved every stage of it.
Delicious cocktails and fabulous service in a time where the hospitality industry is under so much stress.

Dinner here once again the other night. It’s just the bed place in Sydney for food and service. Totally brilliant
