I have been dealing with a lady Vincene Tornatora at starr partners livrepool. I viewed a property at Hoxton Park road and applied for it for which my application was successful. I was asked to pay a holding deposit urgently as if the world is going down. Anyhow I did pay that straight away. Same day I booked another viewing to the apartment and found out that the building has an open access from the side from where the lady very conveniently moved aside a temporary fencing and walked up to the apartment since she forgot to bring the keys to the main building access gate. I would not have known or would not have been told if she didn't forget to bring the building access keys that day.
I was shocked and surprised that this was not told to us at the initial inspection. When I raised a safety concern then she started making phone calls to find out whats happening there (totally ill informed). Now when I have told them that since this situation was not told to us in the beginning I would not want to continue with this rental application hence the holding deposit should be returned. Now they are saying that they will not return the holding deposit despite holding back information from the potential tenants at the time of application which i believe is totally unethical and unprofessional.
I will definitely take this to a logical conclusion but at the same time I would ask everyone to think twice and try agencies out there who are competent, ethical and well informed.

In response to your reply that is clearly a very biased and one sided reply in order to cover up for the mess at your end. If you would have told me all the information at the time of inspection and would not have held back information at the time of application I would have never applied for the property. As far as the deposit is concerned I don't really care about it but at least i would request you to be a bit more honest and upfront to your customers in future. I will take up this matter in the tribune in order to bring it to a logical conclusion. Let me also clarify that holding deposit will only be forfeited if I was on a mistake but in this case your team has been on the wrong side and has ended up holding back information. In this case I see no reason that you guys hold back my deposit.

STAY AWAY from this realtor, they treat you like you have no money right from the start. Unprofessional and act like a bunch of 12 years olds. Especially the "director" Gavin - you know who you are. Incompetent. Racist. Sexist. Unbelievable! Just a warning to all the other potential buyers/sellers/tenants out there looking to use them.

They are so rude and unprofessuinal

Everytime my husband and myself went in to pay rent the receptionist was either taking phone calls by herself and took ages to get to you or they were out the back having a laugh swearing and letting us wait.
They never had smiles and we are glad we moved and have a great friendly family real estate agency who care for their people I would never recommend this real estate agency to anyone
