They didn't have the item I wanted in stock BUT Jemma was such a blessing in looking for me. She went above and beyond and it is so greatly appreciated. Lovely staff, not even mad about the acetate. 5/5:)

A huge variety of items some overpriced I only got there because if my wife it's not my thing to shop in places like this.

I find Spotlight is one of those places where you really need to know prices, (so do your research first). I was after some stencils and chalk. The stencils were priced similarly to other stores, but even on ‘sale’ the chalk was ridiculously overpriced. This resulted in one of those days where ‘one stop shopping’ wasn’t going to happen. Don’t assume a ‘sale’ is EVER a bargain!

I love to go to Spotlight. They have good quality stuff & at a reasonable price especially when they have sales. Customer service is good too

Lovely staff, but store could be better organized. I purchased a 'V' shaped pillow but trying to find a 'V' shaped pillowcase in the store was difficult, as they were hanging in different places around the store and not in one location.

Visited the party section of Spotlight Mulgoa rd yesterday and was served by Jasmine who was great. She was courteous, helpful, patient and friendly. An absolute pleasure to deal with.

Today I was lucky and gound friendly and helpful staff. This is not always the case so I avoid going there. There is always a long check out que.

I like the assortment of items and the good prices, however today I had the worst experience with a team member called jade who was quite curt and wasn’t listening to me at all when I was saying my number etc for vip membership, disappointing

Heaps lined up buying fabrics. They have a huge range of different fabrics, prints and colours. They have a large range home furnishings and homewares, as well as arts and craft products

Worst experience ever. Staff very rude. Was hung up by a staff member. So I called backed to complain and speak to a manager and advise of the bad experience I had with Spotlight. I was told that it was unacceptable behaviour and a written warning would be given to the staff member as this was unacceptable. Then I was hung up on by the manager. This is probably why staff act like this if Managers also act this way. Very unprofessional. I rung back again and the manager did not have the courtesy to take my call. Will be lodging a complaint with Spotlight Head Office. Staff also very lazy and lied. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Spoke to Kate from Mt Druitt store. She was very professional. Highly recommended.

My father went in this morning with hopes of having curtains installed throughout his house. He approached an employee at the cutting section. She was nothing but arrogant and rude. Did not even make eye contact with us and her answers were just spoken with a rude tone. We just left and went straight to curtain wonderland where we we treated with respect. So that's where we spent out money. Won't be going back to penrith spotlight.

So so so rude! I find the staff at Spotlight Penrith so unhelpful, if you can actually corner one to ask a question (as they try their hardest to avoid you) it feels like you’re inconveniencing them by asking for their help. I only go in their when I have to because I always end up leaving frustrated after having a poor customer experience. I would get more online if I didn’t have to pay $$ shipping.

I think they all need some training in better customer service.

Disappointed by a severe lack of staff, no-one at the fabric counter, no-one anywhere.
We waited for over 45 minutes to ask about a sewing machine purchase. No-one would or could help us at all. We even went around to other sectors in the shop but no luck at all.
So, if you know what you want that is good.
If you want information about their products, just forget it and go somewhere else more consumer friendly.

Great store. Loads of great stuff. Really fkn weird staff, I mean really weird. Like they were plucked right out of the 1950’s and put on the front counter and told this is an eftpos machine.figure it out. I don’t understand why it takes so long to ring up an item. I stood there imagining that everything was happening in front of me like a scene from a department store in the 50’s, like I swiped my card and behind the store clerk the curtain drew back and I was watching a show of well dressed ladies dancing around the office with my credit card details making their way with my $50 all the way to a simulated bank counter while doing twirls, it was a magical display of the limitations of technology of the 1950’s compared to today. The bank clerk called the “department store” on her bakelite telephone confirming the payment had been received. The curtain abruptly snapping shut when my card beeped and I was asked if I wanted a receipt. I said no I don’t think I could go through all that drama again. As the staff member tilted down her glasses, looked at me disapprovingly using the tip of her nose as a guide, I left somewhat embarrassed.still a great store.

Shame they never seem to have stock of what I'm after.

The staff are useless for the most part, though there is the odd one or two who will actually help customers & know what you are both talking about.

Prices have sky rocketed, making Spotlight the most expensive choice.

I'd, personally, prefer if they ditched the party section and the junky-looking home decor sections. Leave that stuff to the $2 shops like Ronis.

Everything you need! Some spotlights are small.some are half stocked.penrith is always well stocked, Has everything im looking for and there is always a staff member close by to help. Love it!

I AM SO DISGUSTED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN SPOTLIGHT PENRITH MULGOA RD. I WAS LEFT AT THE COUNTER FOR 20MINS AND I JUST WANTED TO ASK IF THERE WAS ANY STOCK OF THIS FABRIC OUT BACK.

I WAS IGNORED AND THEN PALMED OFF TO 3 PEOPLE. I AM NEVER SHOPPING HERE EVER AGAIN. THE WORKERS ARE SO DISRESPECTFUL TO THEIR CUSTOMERS AND VERY UNWILLING TO HELP. DONT SHOP HERE!

Always love Spotlight. They often have craft materials I find hard to get elsewhere. Love their home decorating items and many specials.
