We love this place in my little family and we go there every 5-7 week's. Dropped off some stuff we no longer use. Hopefully someone can and will find a bargain. Inside is well laid out with furniture, books, CD, clothing of course and brick a brack. Today I even saw a horse saddle. Most the clothes I wear to work are from there or similar second hand stores.

This store should be for the disadvantaged and especially when so many people are out of work, they dont seem to care.most things are overpriced, they leave it to the chinese to price things, they dont care, and they are very arrogant.

My bargain hunting spot. Rotation of selected coloured tags have half price day. Good for students or newly moved house to furnished without assembling IKEA by yourself. It’s walking distance to next door IKEA by foot, 10 mins. Have Salvo and IKEA shopping in one day.

I'm with the majority
Rude staff and VERY Expensive
What you probably dont realise is not ALL Salvos are for the benifit of assisting the not so well off and are largely just a retail store where most (if not ALL) profits go to the owner NOT the needy - this store is one of those
I now go to Rockdale Salvos as i know the profits assist those in need and the prices are reasonable and fair

I usually love this place but as I was in store this afternoon I had a very bad experience with a member of staff Rebecca, as it stated on her name tag. I asked her to open up a cabinet for me and she responded with a roll of the eyes and a sigh yes, I purposely didn't
Purchase the item I was looking at because of the rude response I received from Rebecca, she didn't bother to smile or even attempt to make a nice a customer service experience, when I told Rebecca I would not be purchasing the item she shut the cabinet walked off and didn't say a word.by far the worst customer service I've received from this store and I am very unhappy I was even more unhappy to see Rebecca having a lovely laugh with a smile on her face talking to a customer about her weight loss when we left, I believe GOOD customer service should be given to all customers not selectively.
I will also add the product I went in store to buy today had been raised in price since seeing it in store yesterday 24/01/20.
Salvos is not a place you go to get rude customer service OR products with raised prices, your company is meant to HELP people who aren't financially advantaged.
Not good enough

The books? Book section has been reduced by about 60-75% and are no longer well organised. Very disappointed as most of my home library has come from there with wonderful history, art and reference books. I hope the donated books are not being thrown out into landfill? Surely there's a more creative way to manage declining demand for books, such as reducing the rather high prices of them in the first instance?

Asked 2 volunteer staff said trading hour would be same normal trading hour on Xmas eve last week. Then booked a van last night and pickup at 4pm next door, but Shop closed. No one answer phone. Bad luck.

Well organized and had some good brands, lovely staff, however very over priced found a used old shirt for $37 and is probably worth $5

SO EXPENSIVE
First time I have visited the store.
It seems putting profit before providing affordable options to those that need it. Second hand items almost as expensive as a brand new items.
Rip off comes to mind when I think Salvos now.
Will take my donations to other charity shops in future - ones that take care of the those in need without ripping them off.

Absolutely huge store offering anything you could ask for, however I couldn't afford any of the items there. Charging $35 for a preloved dress that was DONATED should be discouraged. And you would be better off going anywhere else to buy furniture, the prices were outrageous! Also, tell your staff not to make customers feel intimidated by following them around and constantly watching them, I won't be back!

The books at this store were far too expensive compared to other salvos stores. I found the cookbook 'Nigella Feast' for $12.00, Salvos Rockdale 8-10 minutes down the road had the same cookbook for only $4.00 and in Excellent condition as the one in Tempe. I will definetely not return to the Tempe store as even the other items such as furniture, records, toys etc were way above market price.

Asian short hair lady there is always bad attitude, I hate being served by her, last time when I asked the receipt, she just threw it while mumbling. If you don't have any hospitality skill, please leave. I don't want to see you while buying/donating clothing.

Clothes and books are well priced, homewares and furniture is a bit pricey for an op shop but you can always find something good here

I think the staff should be more friendly they don't smile if u return a faulty item they never say sorry about it.they give u a a funny look like my god I go to Myers or David Jones they will say sorry about that. And return it.salvos are acting as Christian charity you would think they would be more friendly. Yes I also agree the prices are way to high.

Expensive? Take a look at this $2,500 bar stool! I know why, Luxury, Expensive cars park there before it's open (Managers?)
I've arrived at 8.30 on a Saturday morning and on many occasions I've found Mercedes C63 already parked in the same spot week after week. Last weekend it wasn't there.it was REPLACED BY AN ASTON MARTIN DB9 with "007 number plates".
I wonder if the charity is getting any of this money? !

Way too overpriced now, I hope they revert to their old prices. Salvos is known to be an op shop and also for those who are low income, not an antique store for high income earners

Very expensive for an op shop. Found everything very unorganised - nothing is in size order. But my biggest reason for the 1 star - I bought a 300 piece puzzle for the kids. When we got home they started to build it and said they thought pieces were missing. I counted the pieces and found 105 pieces missing! Seriously! I paid $8.50 for half a puzzle. Will never go back, huge waste of time and money!

They recommended a Removalist named Tiago and he was amazing! Very prompt with his replies, very courteous and didn’t leave me waiting around for hours like most removalists. His rates were great too. Highly recommended.
