R&W / Richardson & Wrench Hurlstone Park

Essential maintenance was always done, but our property manager abused me on the phone for several minutes, then tried to claim $2,000 in damages because of a burnt granite bench top. The fact is that granite doesn't burn, the bench top was actually laminate, invoices from the end of lease cleaners were provided, and the property manager changed her story when a relative of mine spoke to her about it.

Ultimately it's up to the real estate agency to make a claim with the RBO before the tenant requests the transfer, and R&W Hursltone Park didn't do that. So I got my bond back and the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because good reviews get pushed to the top. They're actually not as good as other real estates.

I highly recommend Andrew De Paulo to manage your property for you. I have found him to be highly communicative and very experienced, helpful and friendly.

Extremely Professional!

My experience with Richardson and Wrench has been exceptional, right from the very beginning with leasing agent Ms. Elizabeth. She played a crucial role in helping me find the perfect property, and for that, I'm truly grateful.

Even though Ms. Megan was my first property manager and was there for just a few weeks, the transition to Ms. Oliana was remarkably smooth. Ms. Oliana's responsiveness to emails, especially when it came to plumbing repairs and internet queries, was outstanding. I always felt that my concerns were addressed promptly and professionally.

Moreover, the process of vacate notice was handled with ease, making the transition out of the property hassle-free. I want to express my gratitude to Ms. Elizabeth for her help in finding this wonderful property and extend many thanks to Ms. Oliana for her unwavering dedication and exceptional service as my property manager. My stay at 244 Wardell Road, Dulwich Hill was made all the more enjoyable by the top-notch service provided by Richardson and Wrench.

Fast response and action from the senior property manager. Lee Papadopoulos have been very helpful with our problems from sorting out tenant related issues and recently, our toilet ceiling have been repaired because of mould problems, he was the one that’s been following it up with the owner countless times before it’s been finally approved. I went to inspect a few properties for rent in Canterbury/Hurlstone Park. I kept bumping into Elizabeth from R&W who ran three open homes. Obviously the local landlords trust the agency.
Having dealt with a few agents, Elizabeth stood out as a friendly, attentive and diligent professional. She replied to my messages very quickly, patiently and kept me in the loop. This was very different from some other agencies that were clearly overwhelmed by the current market and multiple prospective tenants. Some had an overcomplicated application process, others gave me a runaround by the outsourced staff who hardly knew what was going on. Not the case here.

Terrible people and terrible business. Rented out one of their listings and had an absolutely frustrating experience. Took money from my bond by overcharging for silly and pointless services. They were not willing to communicate and find a middle ground. Extremely unprofessional and rude.
Would never recommend dealing with them.

Jane Yazbek has been very professional and she always responds to enquiries in timely manner.

Being relatively new to Syd and with a pup it was incredibly hard to find a good place that matched my criteria. Elizabeth was so helpful in assisting me to find a lovely pad and ensure I was stress free.
I’ve come to really enjoy dealing with Jane my property manager who is so prompt and takes action efficiently! She has been attentive and very responsive.

Lee at Richardson and Wrench has always been so helpful and prompt in replying to me as a landlord. Nothing is ever a problem for him when I request information or assistance.

Ok, this review is long overdue, but I gotta give credit where credit is due! R&W staff has been super helpful, quick to respond and take action accordingly.

I have been with them (R&W Hurlstone Park) for more than 3 years now, and they've all been superb!

Let me start with previous agents and work my way towrds the current ones.so Elizabeth (Liz) is one of my favorite staff that is super friendly, communicative, professional and quick to take a positive action when I needed help.

Not only Elizabeth was helpful while I was in Australia, but she was also helpful when I traveled overseas for a holiday. I contacted her by email asking for vacant properties.and in coordination with owner and property manager, she made that happen, and I moved into new place smoothly! Thank you Elizabeth! Super easy to talk to without the uncomfortable formalities. Kudos to you Liz!

Next, Julie, she was also nice and helpful, and took care of my rent invoices and emails.directing them to their intended deprtments for actions to take place accordingly.

She also helped me with mailbox and garage keys, and she was on property same day and within 15 minutes after I called and asked for help. So thanks Julie for everything.

Currently, Oliana, I met her once in person, and she was nice. She now takes care of my rent invoices and other related property matters (if arise). So thank you Oliana and ncie meeting you the other day for property inspection.

Saving the best for last (although all of R&W team members are equally great). But again, you gotta give credit where credit is due.special thanks and appreciation to management/maintenance: John, Baz, Peter, Brad and Fred.they all have been helpful since day 1, and they treat you with the utmost respect. This shows in their quick actions, no slacking or mocking about here; you have an issue, you contact either one, and bam, issue taken care of! It's that simple and that true!

I wanna mention details because I owe them that much, and they can take my time in writing this deservedly!

John, the man of the hour, super friendly and helpful.always asks me if I'm happy whenever I bring up something to his attention (not necessarily an issue, but could be just a suggestion). And he always delivers! I once asked him for a microwave replacement, and he brought it himself to my place same day, and brand new! I asked for a parking, and he made it happen. I truly appreciate him and respect him for his help and positive attitude all along. I can't thank you enough John.so thank you buddy!

Baz, the father figure man (Haha)! This man is truly a hard working gentleman, he's all over the inner west area, he gets the job done, very nice to have a chat with him. Just today, I had a faulty device at home, and he got me a better/upgraded replacement for it almost instantly. Baz, you legend mate!

Brad, took care of my newly cut mailbox key in a timely manner.great working and communicating with him.

Peter, took care of ventilation/exhaust fan at home.again, very nice and friendly.very easy to talk to as you should.great vibes from everybody honetly!

Extremely unprofessional. Never responding our calls, being racist and over charging random fees for their services i wouldn't recommend this real estate business to anyone as we had a very frustrating experience dealing with them in Hurlstone Park for almost 3 years. Terrible people poorly educated, tricky, racist and trying to outsmart everyone at 52-54 Crinan Street.
