Royal Randwick Racecourse reviews
66Fantastic afternoon and evening at the Twilight Christmas Festival. The Santa and his Elf were truly really beyond OUTSTANDING, the pony rides were wonderful and the staff were very friendly - it’s great to have four pony’s because the line went quickly! The rides were wonderful and the street sweeper and bin truck were a huge hit with our little girl. The elf in the colouring centre was joyous and friendly our daughter enjoyed chatting with her. Everything was entertaining, fun, joyous a wonderfully put together evening - far far superior to any Victorian Racing event we have been to, as new Sydney residents we are looking forward to many more wonderful events at Randwick. A wonderful night well done!
This place hosted a great event. The finer drop. The racecourse was perfect. Lovely location for an event.
Great venue had a Christmas Party held in Winx Stand. Parking was great, food & drinks good.
Winx 30th win at Randwick! The stables are fantastic with plenty of room with misting for cooling of horses. Great excitement throughout the day and dress up, you will have a great day. Oh yeah! Take plenty of money$ you might have a win. Terrific day with our closest friends.
We were not told that the venue would be card only at the bar and for food when we purchased our tickets.it was fine to use cash at all the bookies stands just not at the bar or Cafe which was quite annoying as most of us had bought cash along instead of cards. This would have not been an issue if they had communicated this when we bought the tickets. The biggest issue this cause was the waiting time to get drinks was over an hour long all day and the food line wasn't much better as they only had the one bar open. Poorly planned day by the venue which turned what was meant to be a fun day into a day that was spent mainly lining up in cues.
Here for The Sydney Antique show, which was great. The racecourse was neat and tidy and well looked after. The Autumn flowers were (are) glorious! Cafe staff were attentive but, busy.
Went to the antique fair that was held there
It was well set out with different business cafe available free limited parking on the grounds
The view from the Officials stand is bad. You can't see the winning post, can't see the straight. There is a giant screen that's too far away so you can't see it. The PA system is horrible so you can't hear the race. You can't stand at the rail at the track anywhere (it a mile in circumstance for christsake). One bar with a line a mile long. So the worst place to watch the races at Randwick is AT the races at Randwick.
Not a fan of race courses but had a very good antique fair there i tru to go every year worth t he admission only problem is the food it pretty ordinary
The coffee offered at the venue is quite disgusting. I don’t expect top notch coffee, but I also don’t expect watered down dishwater. Completely under dosing the coffee. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Not the same with COVID restrictions. The bookies all looked depressed. The catering was minimal. However, the ATC staff were very friendly and helpful. Still a good day at the races.
I was bit taken back by how many people was so intoxicated I'm all for a drink but the younger ones were blind and didn't care and were very loud you wouldn't get away with it any where else without being cut off from the bar or being spoken to or being ask to leave but it seem like no body cared which really surprise me
Sydney’s premier location for anything horse racing but also a venue for events / expos. Convenient parking provided at $10 all day flat rate but might be a bit tricky to get to as if you put Royal Randwick in maps it doesn’t take you directly there
Nice place, good viewing, trying to not let covid restrictions amd the rain let the review down haha
It was great to be back on The Races yesterday. We were restricted to one area of the Members but it was more than enough and we were just happy to be there without masks. All services were available and there lots of happy people everywhere making the most of it with the easing of Covid19 restrictions. It was a great day - Just the beginning!
Was nice, unfortunately we went on a rainy day, and it was rather quiet - possibly due to covid restrictions
Historic venue fit for a queen. There is something special about popping open a crisp bottle of bubbles in the sun whilst enjoying a sensory overload of fashion, racing and excitement.
The best lawn in Australia
The jewel in the crown of Sydney racing. Australia’s longest standing racing venue has shaped and been a part of Australian culture since 1833. Host of 20 Group Ones – the most prestigious class of thoroughbred racing – including contemporary behemoth The Everest, Royal Randwick is a theatre of world-class racing, fashion and cuisine. Located in the city’s Eastern Suburbs close to the CBD.
Went to Villiers Day with mate. Not a good experience. In the Octagonal Lawn Bar section (only online section available for booking mid week). Could not get a beer inside 20 minute lineup. Served Craft type beers in plastic cups. Had a long walk to watch 1st race live including 2 flights of stairs. Left the track after Race1 and went to the pub. Not a good race day experience for the boys down from the Bush.
A great day in the ballroom
Went to the City Tattersalls lunch
Had a wonderful day with great food and a win on the horses
