Well worth seeing, but not something that needs a lot of time. Very good to learn about the work of the flying doctors.

The experience itself is wonderful and the gift shop has a lot on offer - but the cafe left a lot to be desired. The food was good when it finally came out to us, but first it was delivered to the wrong table, then came out from the kitchen piecemeal, and one of our orders was incorrect - a beef burger instead of a chicken burger. Easily 4-5 stars if the cafe settles into more of a rhythm though.

This is a very well presented and informative centre. The multiscreen film was beautifully shot and full of compelling real life stories of people helped by the RFDS. We watched it several times! There was also a number of hands on activities for kids, such as the pedal powered Morse code machine, and a model of an aeroplane where you could sit and take your photograph in the pilot's seat. We enjoyed morning tea at the café too. Definitely worth a visit to learn about this wonderful service provided to our outback communities.

A great place for visit. The facility is modern and the exhibits well thought out and presented. Such a great service to everyone living in regional Australia. A must see.

The family loved it!

Well thought out high tech displays that were very informative. Staff walked us around, adding a lot of valve, felt like a one-on-one tour, well worth the money. Kids loved it and we spend a solid 90mins going over most exhibits twice.

Left with a huge appreciation of the RFDS.

Informative and fun experience that provides a detailed history and hands on learning for the whole family. Friendly guides are on hand to enhance the experience and a short film gives you a real life feel for the service that the RFDS provides to the community. There is also large cafe and gift shop offering reasonably priced hot food, drinks and merchandise.

Amazing experience provided by the staff and volunteers that are committed to this amazing service.
The whole package experience is brilliant, and I have no qualms in spending some money here and supporting the organisation that supports our rural areas.

Highly interactive and informative museum about the history, operations and role of the Royal Flying Doctors Service in outback Australia.

Listen to the stories of patients, explore the cut-away interior of an aircraft in AR, see the static aircraft display and try out communicating over a pedal powered radio.

The cafe serves high quality meals and the volunteers who greet you at the museum have their own stories to tell.

In one word. Brilliant.interactive, informative and interesting exhibits. Staff, all vollunteers, were pationate about what they were doing, very friendly and helpful. A really fantastic experience. Coffee was great from the cafe too. We spent a lot in the gift shop too, to support them. Well done too all the staff.

What would have been a fantastic visit was really spoilt by the suggestion we stole a toy from the gift shop.

The center itself is great with lots of information and displays. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We learnt a lot about the Royal flying doctors.

However, as we were walking to the car a staff member asked us if we paid for a toy my son had been playing with. We answered, “Yes”, and yet he insisted on showing the receipt for a yo-yo. We bought several things we were still holding in our hands.

The lack of trust in a place that strives to uphold the best in people was really disappointing.

It bought back many memories of when I was seconded to Dubbo Royal Flying Doctor's in the early 2000's. Very well presented. Well done all.

What an awesome experience. Loved every minute of being there, a new found respect for the flying doctors and the staff who provideedixal services to the outback areas of Australia. Also a thumbs up to the friendly staff, a special thank you to the beautiful lady who gave information brochures for my class of 40 kids in Sydney. A must visit.

Outstanding. It’s not a huge facility but it’s immersive, kid friendly and has a nice little cafe attached. It’s well worth the visit because you learn about an important part of our history. They have integrated technology with historical artefacts and stories and to be honest this visit warmed the cockles of my heart. The best part is that your visit can be enjoyable, educational and help support a service that now benefits so many!
