Fantastic place to visit with the experience.
The RFDS reach out to so many so far away to help the remote areas.

It's well designed and managed. Small premises but lot of details. We spent 3 hours in there. My 15 years daughter asked me must leave a 5 stars review to tell people to come and see.

This was an excellent exhibition. Really information and very interesting. Probably not very interactive for young children, but an important service for all Australians to understand.

Grabbed lunch here on the way back into Dubbo. Had a pulled chicken burger and an iced coffee. Pretty tasty.
Good atmosphere.
Bought a few souvenirs to support the RFDS. Souvenirs were all made in China which is hard to avoid nowadays.
Shame I ran out of time to look at the experience centre.

I had the best time ever here! It really opened my eyes as to what amazing work the RFDS do. Coming from a capital city I had no idea how vital this service is. It was a highlight of my Dubbo trip visiting here. Special shout out to Annabelle and Neil (I think his name was). Their devotion and passion didn’t go unnoticed, they made this experience amazing for me, I was all alone and got taken to special areas! The technology here is out of this world too. I also loved the souvenir shop.

This an absolutely fabulous place to visit! The cafe was lovely, with great food and drinks at reasonable prices. They have a number of gluten and dairy free options, and lactose free milk available.

The information centre is well worth the entry fee, with fantastic displays, interesting information and a great video presentation. I was especially pleased to see that all the video resources were captioned! They also have wonderful volunteer guides to show you around and give you additional information about the history and current operations of the RFDS, which we loved!

They have excellent toilet facilities, including an accessible bathroom with a spot for you to put your bag down!

Hands down a absolute highlight of our visit to Dubbo. So unbelievably informative, interactive experience not only for children, but definitely for adults. The short video of actual people helped by RFDS was great. Seeing real time data of where planes were travelling to was really interesting. Helpful people available for any questions you may have. Nice cafe available to have a sneeky drink and snack.
Highly recommend. Don't forget to make a small donation to keep this amazing service in the air.

Very impressive experience, bringing most aspects of the RFDS alive and personal. Only missing aspect I would like to have seen covered was the political one - no apparent coverage of where funding comes from, and to what extent the service is part of the country's public services.

I wanted to see this tourist spot but there were very few handicapped spaces and those seemed to be the same width as their normal car spaces, definitely not in line with the usual handicapped car space requirements in width or ground signage (they just seemed to be identified by signs on poles). I was there about 9.30am and couldn't get any car space in their fairly small carpark and I wasn't going to risk a parking ticket by parking (as some had) in coach spaces or on dirt verges. They need more parking and better handicapped spots that are actually wide enough to open one's door fully.

Extremely informative and interactive experience. The royal flying doctor service is definitely important and necessary in benefiting many lives for those living in rural areas. If you want to learn more about the RFDS and stories of people who they have helped, then this is the place to go.
However, the content of the experience was quite boring and not very suitable for children. They have tried to do everything possible to make it enjoyable (a lot of interactive features and showing the insides of a plane), but this experience was not for me and my family.

Great displays and information. Had lunch at the cafe, burger and chips more than enough. Bought some things at the shop all profits go back into supporting the RFDS. Staff very friendly and know their stuff.

Val, the volunteer who showed us around, was very passionate and knowledgeable. Thanks for a great tour!

The centre shows how important this service is to so many who live remote.

The visualisations on the wall were really informative and well done.

A great facility though the echo from people talking in the huge shed makes it difficult to read and concentrate on what you're looking at. The interactive attractions are fabulous. It was nice to learn about how the RFDS all started and to read and watch how the RFDS has helped people who are isolated and in need of help. I would have loved to learn more about the people that work there, how they deal with the unknown, how many people go to incidents and how they decide how many to send, qualifications of staff, how you can get involved, what roles there are and what paths you take to get employment with the RFDS. It was also frustrating that the interactive screens in front of the main screen go off during the "movie". I was half way through one when it went off. They were the last things we had left to do but not enough time to stay through the movie to do it. I love in alice springs they have a cockpit you can climb through. I assumed it might be the same at dubbo but it's not.
The people working here though were very nice.

Great place to visit in dubbo! If like me you are prone to getting emotional, pack your tissues- some of the stories will make you ball your eyes out.

Perfect for learning more about the RFDS and teaching group the kids about the importance of this amazing service.

The volunteers are amazing and help your experience to be fantastic.
