Real Bad experience with river realty Maitland as a landlord. Money minded management and as soon as they see that no money is coming in, they bring out their true colors. They claim they have done their best without providing any details and now have handed my house with damaged/stinking carpets, damaged kitchen bench top, damaged window blinds and security mesh lying on the back yard. When asked to have them fixed, they said for me to fix it, go to the tribunal and claim it back from rental bond. The property Manager (Brooke Gibson) was dishonest and very unprofessional during the whole hand over process and claims to be sick all the time whenever an inspection was organized. Towards the end, she never answered my phone calls and never bothered to return my calls back. Her Manager (Dee Martin) was even worse and talking to her was like talking to a brick wall.

Giving 1 star rating is me being generous and would like everyone to really think when acquiring their services.

Very easy to work with and always available with questions and additional viewings.

I overheard a conversation between two of your agents out together and was very disappointed and shocked. Not a very nice way to talk about your clients and for anyone to listen to. Very unprofessional. I have never been with River but I certainly won’t be now if that’s the kind of unpleasant chat going on. Those poor people trying to sell houses and find places to live having nasty things said behind their backs.

So far in our search for a new home to rent, River Realty have been the most open, friendly and informative of the agencies I have contacted. Toni Dobson went above and beyond to present the best impression for the house we viewed despite the previous tenants efforts to the contrary!

I am hoping that River Realty manage the next house we rent.
