I get one print job done once a month and have done so for the last 10 years at Officeworks North Ryde. I have 2 requests each month. 1 is for the job to come back to me in the order that it comes off the printer. 2 is for a trim to be done on the sheets. 7/10 times it is not done. It is not rocket science. I was also told by the worker that I apparently am fussy! Sadly for me it's the closest to where i work and there is not much of an alternative. I'm stuck!

Printing and counter service is TERRIBLE! I waited 1 hour with at least 4 other customers and most of us just walked out. I use Office Works regularly in Melbourne, and this is def the worst. Suggest not offering this service at all.

First and last time we will shop here. We waited over an hour for the staff to come and help us with items we wanted to buy with one of them telling me oh we are busy you’ll just have to wait. Once we had received our items and went to the checkout there was a massive queue of customers and we saw 3 team members just walk past the checkout area and refuse to serve. We also heard another couple behind us say why can’t they put more people on registers. Absolutely horrendous don’t shop here

When I was at Officeworks doing my usual and then the people at the loading dock are so annoying when dropping a large good the whole store starts shaking.

One of the larger Officeworks stores around with a lot of floor stock. The staff is generally helpful. The late night copy and print services saved the kid's assignment on one blackout event at home.

I took a faulty HP ink cartridge back to OW North Ryde, where I bought it, having called earlier to check this was ok. Your very polite sales assistant said that it would be fine. On arrival, I was led to someone called Stewart, (think he may have been a manager), who very rudely and abruptly told me that there was no way that he was going to replace the faulty ink cartridge, and that I would need to bring my printer in to show that it was faulty. I explained that this would be very inconvenient, and that as I had another HP cartridge, I have replaced the faulty one, and that the printer is now working fine. So the problem must be with the ink cartridge.
When I stood my ground, Steward eventually replaced the cartridge, and unbeknown to me, charged me for the difference in price between what the cartridge cost me last year, and its new price!
I am a retired senior manager of a company that prides itself in customer service, and I can assure you that Steward needs retraining in customer relations 101.
From what I have read of the other reviews of OW North Ryde, there is definitely a problem there!

If you want office supplies, stationery, arts, chairs, desks, phones, routers or photo printing, binding etc.then this is the shop for you, it's well stocked and plenty of helpful staff to ask questions. Parking is at the front of the store, although it can get quite busy sometimes. Very competitive on price.

North Ryde, you stand out as the most inept gaggle of jokers I’ve ever seen grouped in one locale.

I had a terrible experience trying to get passport photos on Saturday the 26th of March. I arrived around 2: 00pm on a Saturday with a small line of 4 people for the passport and printing services. The line wasn't moving, with everyone seemly having issues with the services being rendered. We checked pretty early that they were doing passport photos and there was no issue with this. However this line took 45 mins for me and my two young kids to get to the front. By this stage the line was 8 people behind us. Right when it was our turn the manager (or who appeared to be the manager) decided to finally help as there had been no staff interaction with the queue before this, but he went straight to the back of the line and helped people in the wrong order. We had two very frustrated kids by this stage. When we were finally served we were told the printer had just run out of paper and they were not sure when it would be fixed. Nobody seemed to be prioritised to this task, fairly important for this area. Rather than waiting for this we asked if they could take our children's photos and then do the rest of our shopping while the printer is fixed and come back to collect the photos. Photos were taken and we did our shopping. 15minutes later the printer was not fixed. 25minutes later the printer was fixed but one of our children's photos had been deleted. We had to bring one of our children back in from the car where I was trying to keep them entertained to get photos taken again. All of this took almost an hour and a half to get 2 passport photos printed, all with what appeared as extremely inefficient staff processes and management. The manager was very unhelpful and unapologetic for the circus that was office works that day. It will be a while before I come back, particularly with kids.

The staff are incompetent, they don't know their own rules. For price beat offer, the lady at the counter was turning away customers saying, it should be a physical store, some of them left without any further questions. I showed the terms and conditions on my phone, she calls the manager. (Stuart). He is even more ignorant or acting dumb, he says price beat offer is only available, if you can take the competitor item at the time of purchase. How can you take the item at the time of purchase on an online order, it is beyond ridiculous. Office works management should spend time and effort in training the staff. Humans with limbs don't make your staff, they should have brains too.

It's amazing how bad the service is here. I called from the parking lot to confirm that the passport photo service was working. I was told yes. The person even double checked with the print and copy team to make sure it was working. I headed in and there was only one other person ahead of me in the queue, not looking for photo services. When we got to the front of the line the team member sighed and said sorry the camera is broken. When I told him I called not too long ago, he said oh it just broke 10 minutes ago. It had been less than 5 minutes since my call. Don't waste your time here.

Tried to print some photos and the photo machine kept randomly cropping photos before eventually not printing photos all together. There were no staff on hand to help and when I got a staff member from elsewhere in the store they said it wasn’t their department and I would have to wait for the 1 person working in the printing department. He had a line of 5 people and was taking passport photos (and had been for the past 20 mins) for the first customer in line. Meanwhile there were plenty of other staff with little else to do. After 1 hour of messing around I left without any photos. Poor management and poor service.

Half an hour wait at click and collect and I was the only one in the line. Had my barcode scanned multiple times and no one was actually bothering to collect my items.

One of the worst place for service.they go out of their way not to help you. I asked for help for the self serve printer and scanner and the staff member just grunted and pointed. This is your job come over and figure this out for me.

They expect the customer to do their jobs for them.

I went to North Ryde Epping Officeworks branch to buy a earphone for my iPhone 11. Upon giving the person behind the cashier counter a coupon code in exchange for the iPhone 11 earphone, when he returned and handed me the earphone, he just slammed it down on the counter real fast and hard! The clown wearing the office work shirt clearly has an attitude problem! Is this the standard office works has? Tsk tsk tsk! What a pathetic bunch of clowns!

Out of desperation at not being able to reach Officeworks Customer Support for 2 weeks (email and phone), i have called around a number of stores. Many stores are not answering their phones, but not only has the North Ryde store answered their phone (first tick), but their team member Tim and his manager Andy have been unbelievably helpful in reaching out through an internal contact to Officeworks Head Office to action my basic request of a click n collect cancellation even though the order is not at their store. Still no outcome yet, but its only been a couple of days. I'll be editing this to 5 stars if they can find someone at Officeworks customer "support"

So far they have sold me a $60 mouse lasted a week, and a keyboard that’s already lost all the lights to it that is only 3 weeks old, asked to return it…. They said no returns right now…. So I have to go to jb-hi-fi and get whole new set up.

Thanks heaps office works will never be using use again and btw learn how to answer a phone called 12 times with no reply use all need the sack.

Awful service! Due to Covid I guess many people are visiting for stationary + printing, copying needs, definitely business has gone up by the queues seen. So Officeworks should make an effort to keep people who know stuff. In this store there is NO ONE who knows anything. It boasts of printing, copying & whatnot service, but if you face an issue with any of these, then their staff are just useless! I have to go there for printing frequently & everytime is a torture if the machine isnt working properly. No one knows how to fix it. I would suggest Officeworks either the staff to at least do troubleshoot these machines or hire people who know technical stuff!

The manager makes you feel worthless, returned a cable as it was faulty and he tried everything under the sun to not refund me. Even asked me if I can bring my PC into the store to test it! What a joker, for a $30 cable? ! All he had to do is test it on his PC's but he just wanted to make life difficult. Seriously short man syndrome, does not belong in any for of management role. NEVER AGAIN!
