Overall Office works has a great brand name! But because of employees like “Emma” who clearly display racist behaviour, it’s extremely disappointing to face such a concerning act of ignorance at the billing counter. She literally made faces and didn’t answer our queries. “Emma” - Can you let us know if you have any issues!? Have you studied anything about customer service? Do you know basic etiquette of it? I’m sure you won’t because you don’t even know to treat a customer right!

I recently had an unfortunate experience at Office Works, where I encountered an employee named Emma who exhibited clear signs of racism. As a customer, it was disappointing to face such behavior in a supposedly professional environment.

From the moment I approached Emma for assistance, her attitude was dismissive and condescending. She seemed uninterested in helping me, providing minimal assistance and offering no genuine solutions.

It is disheartening to witness such racism in any workplace, and Office Works should take immediate action to address this issue.

I was trying to claim the price beat guarantee today (28 Jun 2023) at the North Ryde branch cashier but the Asian man who I have dealt with before for other things in the past (positive experiences) said the Apple product I was trying to claim was a different model code & therefore I can't claim the price beat guarantee. I chatted online with Apple who said there is only one model. I caught the eye of one of the staff called Justin who was waiting with another staff in the middle of the store for ppl needing help. He came over & we went to the cashier area where he checked the other competitor website out & told me yes there is only one type of model for that product. He processed the better price & purchase with a friendly attitude. Very happy with Justin, a bit confused with the other guy who was easy to deal with in the past

Although I cannot stand businesses continuously training and conditioning us to do THEIR work (read self service checkouts and do-it-yourself printing), and despite the fact that the person manning the printing desk alone on busy Kings Birthday holiday tried to do exactly that (train me to do it myself), she was very nice about it and I'm sure it's company policy, so she had to do it, but then she did do my printing job and she was very helpful. I think her name was Areeya, that's the name on my receipt. Well, she's a legend.

Just was there to print a 2 page document, there were 5 staff members behind the printing counter and everyone was doing their own thing as if there is no long queue waiting to be served! What a joke! Poor management!

Worst experience ever!
Ordered a poster for Click and Collect from North Ryde about 3weeks ago. My order went to Epping Victoria store by mistake. They said that they will send it to the correct store. Didn’t hear from them for 3 weeks. Called the customer service on Monday (which took 15mins to connect) and they said they will reprint and send to the store.again. Nothing happened for a few days then I called them today and asked for refunds. Then I put another order for the same item, they called me from North Ryde that your poster is here now.
After all these drama and almost a month of waiting for just a poster, finally I collected it and when I got home noticed that there is a massive damage on the side of it!
This is very disappointing!

Terrible service for photos - go somewhere, anywhere else. Self-serve technology doesn’t work and no staff are assigned to assist. Queue was ten people deep with a long wait, staff everywhere in the shop but were packing shelves instead of helping customers. Appalling.

Their team are excellent, working tirelessly and efficiently. Stuart and Mungo were Godsent to me this morning. I was laminating a placemat for my granddaughter. They were running out of gloss laminex. Just as when Mungo ran upstairs n downstairs n everywhere through their inventory to find one for me, Stuart suggested that he went to open up a new pack (which would hv cost me a lot more while I would not know what to do with the balance). Eventually, the job was immaculately done. Thank you for this dedicated customer service and professionalism. They truly went an extra mile for their customers regardless of big or small dollar business. I am very happy and satisfied! It’s that little act of kindness that makes a customer happy. Wish other ppl could do that.

None of the photo-printing machines were functional. Staff did not print them out at the counter and suggested to do it online which has now taken over 2 weeks and counting.

If you value your sanity, please do not ever try and come print photo cards using the self serve. The machines are terrible, and the only possible way to get photos on their is USB. It says you can connect your phone or transfer over Wifi; well goodluck with that. After spending almost an hour on the machine, I finally completed the print job. After waiting another 40min, the staff then realised that their photo printer just wasn't accepting print jobs. "Maybe come back in the next day or two, and hopefully the job would be released then", I just wanted 10 photo cards. 2 stars because the staff are friendly, but their equipment is absolutely shameful.

Edit: back again 24 hours later, and the machine still hasn't printed the cards. The staff are very sympathetic and found a way to make them manually on the other machines. A+ for staff service, F for store equipment. I hope Officeworks can get better equipment soon.

I had around 70 copies to staple to turn into a booklet. An employee told me they didn't want to do a job for me because it was too much work.

Absolutely hopeless! Stood in line for 25 mins waiting to be served by any of the 4 people sitting around doing nothing. Once they finally decided to serve me they said their laminator wasn't working. I had told them when I came in I needed to Laminate and they said no problem.
Completely useless team and clueless staff. Shame!

Michael, one of the staff members decided to hide behind a screen, obviously doing nothing to avoid serving me.

Very efficient; I like the Self-Service Scan/Copy they have there, and the prices overall are pretty good. Has come in very handy more than once.
