57Walked in without a booking 6.30pm. Got a table for 2 straight away. Had the best dumplings and fried rice i ever had in my life. This place was 10/10. Spent $200 and didnt feel bad as it was worth every penny.
Atmosphere was great, however being pushed in and out very quickly having to wait not being able to book few down points food was okay however the atmosphere made the evening throughly enjoyed myself
Outstanding dim sum for lunch (served until 1500.). Everything we had was excellent - bursting with flavor but still refined and delicate. It occupies a hidden brick building in an old alley tucked away in historic Sydney and it has an ancient and secluded feel that is charming and elegant. Loved it!
No bookings allowed even when we rang 2 days ago.then the lady that answered the call could not tell us the price of the mud crab per kg.on arrival it was $210 per kg.for mud crab which I personally thought was a huge rip-off
We did not order the crab but we ordered some other dishes and honestly I dont understand why their rating is so high.would definitely not visit this place again. Thanks
A overrated restaurant with overpaid food. The food is just so so. What's worse, there was a lady who was very rude and gave us the worst dinner services ever had.
Exceptional food, atmosphere, and service.
Tip: ask for the sizchuan sauce with the dumplings - lobster, duck, & pork hock shown in pics here.
Wagyu is unreal.
The biggest fried ice cream you've ever seen on a luscious bed of butterscotch sauce. Those with a sweet tooth won't be able to share.
I love their whiskey sour.
Always book online in advance to avoid utter disappointment.
Wow! It has been a week since I been there and still can remember the taste of the food! Service impeccable. We were the last table in the restaurant, we didn't want to leave
As a return customer I have no complaints againest their food. They are amazing as always. But I hope they can put more efforts to clean the plates and cutlery’s properly. Last time I found some dirt in my bowl before I start eating, possibly the dust coming off from the wall. I do not wish to reveal what I saw on the wall cos the friendly staff handled it like a champ. I love this restaurant overall and this is just some constructive feedbacks to help it gets better.
Great food. Wait times are absolutely crazy. For a place that apparently doesn't take bookings for small groups, an awful lot of people seem to have a bookings
Ambiance is great, think Chinese immigrant era 1920’s speakeasy, style and music to suit.
Food is expensive but we were not disappointed. The eggplant was insainly good.
Staff were attentive to food allergies and requirements however the menu does not list vegetarian dishes.
Absolutely spectacular food! Place has a lively, hip vibe but it’s very noisy and tough to carry on a conversation. We are planning to go back 2 more times in our week long visit. Peking duck, fried rice and black pepper clams were all amazing!
Went to check out what everyone was raving about, and I was not disappointed at all by the food! However I must say, it’s very pricey for Chinese food. The night would have been perfect if not for the fact that there was water leaking from the roof just above us and so was dripping onto the table (pretty disappointing that we couldn’t move tables due to how packed it was, and our table could not be shifted away from the leak due to the same reason). I hope they have fixed it! Haven’t been back yet but I would still go if it was a special occasion and just try not to sit on that side (turn left as you walk in and up the stairs, long table near the centre).
Several vegetarian options, but they're not labeled on the menu. The server mentioned a few more they could do. I made the mistake of going with the eight piece dim sum, which was a disappointing four each of steamed spinach and mushroom.
One of the most popular restaurant in Sydney. I am proud of Mr. Wrong can change the way people value Chinese food. Great taste of the roast duck. Crispy and Juicy Combination.
Food was really good but the service was just so-so. The servers had an arrogant attitude and eventually one of them rudely handed us our bill when we haven't even asked for it.
I would go again since we went too early before lunchtime and didn't manage to get the roasted duck, which is the specialty.
Sat the bar and ordered dim sum for 1. I had the crispy dumpling pork hock edamame and the roast duck chive dumpling. Both were outstanding, best dim sum I’ve ever had!
I don’t understand why do i need Id to have lunch there.
I had reservation, and i didn’t order anything.
But i couldn’t go inside at all because i didn’t bring my Id!
I’ve never heard i should bring my id for lunch even if i didn’t order alchol things.
Terrible what a waste of time.
Also I tried to bring my Id, but they just canceled my reservation.
I’m so dissapointed and i never go back again.
