MMJ Real Estate North

By far the worst real estate I’ve dealt with. Terrible customer service, staff are rude and short on the phone, often cutting you off before you can finish speaking. My rental experience was much the same, I lived with roommates in a new duplex that had maintenance work scheduled essentially from the day I moved in, however never got done. We lived with a broken lock on the front door for over half our rental term, which the real estate was aware of and did nothing about. I’m currently applying for new rentals, however trying to get a reference check out of MMJ is near impossible. I was informed multiple times I was not on a lease, however have multiple documents including my approval letter to show that I did in fact live there. When the matter was resolved, they accepted no blame. I do not recommend MMJ north to anyone

The agents are dubious in their words and quite a few of them give you the condescending looks, not sure if its due to their narcissistic nature or racial discrimination. Slow/firgetful to fulfill maintenance requests as well.

MMJ North have managed a rental property of mine for many years. They do a really good job of finding tenants collecting the rent and dealing with any repairs that are needed. They do routine inspections every few years and advise me on what needs doing to keep the property on the market. They also advise me when a rent increase is appropriate.

I am a landlord and would use MMJ time and time again, the staff here are wonderful, they are experienced, open, committed, friendly and professional, nothing is ever to much trouble. We’ve had some tricky renters in the past and MMJ handle it perfectly with honesty and fairness.
Speaking from my experience I highly recommend MMJ.

Keeping my bond for a month now post vacate. The property is perfectly clean (by a professional, gardens professionally done, unit undamaged and complied with to the letter of the agreement at every turn but refuses to answer emails and won't call at all to cite any reason able to be referenced to the tenancy agreement. Terrible business to rent through.

I was renting from MMJ North for a year and 3 months and just moved out. The whole experience was fabulous. They were very responsive and professional. All my emails were answered in a day or even the same day and the repair requests were sent through quickly. I understand I had good landlords but the people in MMJ North were also friendly and fast. The move out process happened fast and with no drama. I had the guy who was recommended by MMJ for cleaning and he was a very reasonably priced guy (got a few other quotes) and the bond refunded very quickly. Overall, we were very happy with them and wish them the best. Special thanks to Kim who helped us throughout the tenancy.

We have worked with MMJ North since 2003 when we first bought property in the Illawarra. They have acted as leasing agents for us, we bought a second property through them and Greg Truebody has always provided us with current and professional market advice. Just recently we decided to sell our house in Doris Avenue Woonona, so it was only natural that we would list with Greg. He has always acted in our best interests, we trust him which is vital in any dealings you have with a real estate agent. Once we decided to sell, we met with him agreed on the approach and then just left it to him. He kept us informed along the way (he rang us, we did not have to chase him) he advised us of the top bids so we could make a confident decision. We believe he got us the best price. I cannot recommend Anita Lewis highly enough when leasing a property, she offers sound advice and is always available.
