Dr Mark Yim and Dr Jeanne Gehue have given our family hope and light through some very dark times. Mark and Jeanne understand our daughters needs and provide compassionate and highly skilled support and advice as we navigate the senior years of high school. I cannot recommend the T2 clinic highly enough. We will be forever grateful for the help and understanding we have received. Thank you. Thank you.

They refused to even see me just because I have A. D. D! What kind of mental health service is this. I have been in and out of the mental health system since I was a kid and have never been refused for something so ridiculous

Mark yim is a nice doctor

Mark listens and has helped me mentally be better he works based on your life and the state you are in

during my years here I used to see heather
I have a lot to say about heather I was going through abuse with people within the family that were serious as a child and as a teenager
Heather Didn’t bother helping me even though I asked if there was any suitable accommodation and she would charge my abusive parent for the session after heather claimed it was a bulk billing session and Would try and get out of those session just under 10 minutes and that would caused more episodes at home

Heather didn’t bother referring me to crisis accommodation now knowing that was an option AND and an occupational therapist Heather cutten had crisis accomodation links

Heather used her personal beliefs and personal vendetta attitudes towards me as a person
to turn around and say as a student/teenager
with a disability and obviously mentally incapacitated and fridged from the things I’ve got gone through and the way how I was treated

Instead of working around it and putting me on Centrelink and through the system
that I should be looking for private rental and needed to pay rent and work, like a "normal" person but I was not a usual person at the time under the household I was in and thats was not a possible outcome

Heathers Attitude and excuse/actions were mistreating, Heather acted like I was a brat and would overcompensate her attitude and excuses at me as a person and would slander me about the little things that weren't much to ask for

Heather occasionally would text me and say are you up for a chat on the today and not communicate back and leave me on a hook and wood casually do the on booked appointments and then charge us for it

heather did help me at some stage but not occasionally

Wouldn’t recommend nor consider this worker
lazy and incompetent, does just like to work for payday and sneak out occasionally and will charge you after saying its bulk billed!

I was a patient of Dr Mark Yim from 2017 to May 2022. Treated for ADHD, depression and anxiety.
At first, nice enough, half listened but at least somewhat considered my opinion on meds. Though he did not inform me of side effects of medications before taking them and my appointments were a little rushed at 10-15 mins. He was also a little dismissive when I brought up anxiety saying “you don’t seem anxious”.
Eventually (from about early 2021), Mark stopped listening to me entirely. My appointments began to cause me great anxiety as I felt I had to constantly play the role of peacemaker. I could not sleep before and after appointments because I didn’t know if he would choose that appointment to start an argument.
Mark talked to my mother without asking me and during this time scheduled an appointment for me to attend with her. Dr Yim began the appointment by writing a list of my mental issues on the white board, Number 1 reading “mood swings”. As I left the appointment he said “you’re very difficult”. He called me non-compliant and accused me of abusing my Ritalin with no basis. He refused to see me without my mum even though I was an adult the whole time I was his patient. At any sign of disagreement, he would threaten to discharge me as a patient, knowing I could not afford another psychiatrist. I am still baffled as to why I was treated like a non-compliant child. I was a polite patient, didn’t miss appointments, made lists for each appointment and tried my best to stick to the medications as prescribed.

Medication wise, I never had a proper trial of standard meds like SSRIs. During 2021 Dr Yim put me on weird new meds like Brintellix and Valdoxan, both of which I tried for months. He told me to keep taking them when I said they didn’t work and ignored my side effects such as severe nausea.
Dr Yim also cancelled my Ritalin script, without my knowledge, right before my exams. I became aware of this when the pharmacy informed me that the script had been ceased by the prescriber. During my last appointment when I asked Mark “why did you cancel my Ritalin script? ” he said “I told you last appointment, don’t you remember? ”. However, when I brought up the fact that I had emailed him earlier asking if he had cancelled my script and he replied “No” he shifted to saying that he never cancelled my script. He turned it into an argument, almost yelling at me, while I repeatedly said “its ok I don’t want an argument”. He accused me of not trusting him and also arrogantly reminded me that he was in high demand.

I really did not expect much as a bulk billed patient and would have been happy with a standard 10 minute appointment every 6 months. Trying to be helpful I even suggested
That a GP could monitor my medications except Ritalin which he dismissed.

Mark and Bradley at Mind Plasticity have changed my life. I am working casually and am symptom free. All while reducing medication and doing three monthly TMS

We were extremely blessed to have Dr. Mark Yim recommended to us, he was kind, clear, supportive and his expertise in assisting us as a family and our Child through their trauma was a divine intervention in many ways.
We were able to understand the complexities of mental stress, anxieties and the impact of trauma. He was able to guide and treat our child with professionalism, care, non judgement, and kindness. We also were supported by Jeanie at Mind plasticity, always with a smile and warmth, the Sun on our cloudy days. Thank you Mark and Jeanie

Dont bother! Called up last week to get into see a psychiatrist after reading good reviews. Was told by reception to get a referral and email it through and they will be intouch. Went through the process with my GP, which also wasn't free. To be called and told sorry we only have 1 Dr taking on new patients 1 day a week and he has "REJECTED" your referral. Big waste of my time and certainly not professional, could have told me my chances last week and I would have kept looking.

Truely one of the best doctors in Sydney and certainly one of the most accessible. Dr Yim has gone out of his way to remain an affordable resource you can access for little to no gap cost. He has helped stabilise my medications and by extension my emotions. He has provided - just crazy good, stable support throughout my depression and anxiety - including 3 attempts. His help has been profound on my life and you can tell he is happy to have helped, because he loves his work.

Bit disappointing - I rang on two separate occasions in June and July to try to book an appointment. Both times I was told I'd be called back and never was. I followed up a third time and the wait time is several months. Perhaps if reception had called back I would have seen the therapist by now, not particularly great service especially if people are in genuine need of support.

My wife has been under Mark Yim's care for a few years. He has been very patient during this time. Medications haven't always worked but he has continued to strive to find the one that has. He has been very inclusive of me in sessions & values my opinion.

We also have the support of Brad. He has been a main stay in our lives & has helped my wife enormously.

The practice is well run and I am really pleased we have access to it.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Bradley for over ten years. He has been instrumental in me getting a better understanding of my mental health. His support is unwavering and has helped me to grow stronger as a person. By having ease of access to his help it has allowed me to hold down a job and (mostly) stay out of hospital.

Bradley recommended Mark to me and it was great advice! Mark has become a key member of my mental health team. He is accessible, supportive, kind and knowledgeable. When medications didn't work he persevered until one did. He is a fantastic asset to my team.

The administration staff are amazing. Extremely polite, caring and helpful.

I couldn't recommend the Mind Plascitity Team more.

Dr Mark Yim has been instrumental in my daughter's treatment. His communication style is direct, factual and respectful. There is no quick fix; this is a long journey and we are incredibly pleased to have found a psychiatrist who is practical and genuine in his approach towards our daughter's needs.

Dr Mark Yim turned around our son's life. From a place of desperation and despair, we have reached a point where our son is on top of his condition and enjoying life. We have hope for the first time in over 2 years. Dr Mark is consistently compassionate, attentive, thoughtful, respectful and patient. He genuinely cares about our son and has demonstrated this repeatedly. You will not find a better psychiatrist.

Mark Yim and his staff are absolutely incredible. I am so grateful to both Mark and Jeanne for their work with my daughter, to navigate the HSC.

Mark and his team are kind, caring and empathetic. From a parents perspective I honestly recommend them highly. I really don’t know how we would have got through without them.

Thank you

I've been seeing Mark, Bradley and Angie for years now and they have helped me get my life on track and I am forever in debt to them! My family and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better service. They genuinely want to help you and when dealing with them, it's quite clear how much experience and professionalism they have. 10/10. They are the best in their field. Amazing.

Dr Mark Yim has been akin to a life raft for my family. My children and I have felt incredibly lucky, supported and confident that the care we have received at Mind Plasticity has been evidence based, safe, compassionate and delivered with patience and respect. We would not have made it through some unbelievably difficult situations without Dr Yim's guidance and support. The model of care he has on offer has been exactly what we needed at exactly the right time - and it's not just luck. Dr Yim is an incredibly skilled clinician who's work is punctuated with kindness and a sense of humanity found rarely elsewhere.

I would recommend this service unreservedly to any and all who would like to engage with a Psychiatrist willing to do things a little differently. In a word (perhaps two) he has been "life-changing" for us.
