The gentleman who served us was so lovely! I believe his name was Shane. He helped me pick out the perfect wedding ring which matched my engagement ring perfectly. He has excellent customer service skills and should be commended for his kindness and personality.

Mel the sales assistant is super nice and lovely, she made my experience warm, by remembering my name and having conversations with me while waiting to pay, and offering to show me more items. I would like to see her praised

Definitely great service when you are looking to buy, but after sales service is virtually non-existent. Don’t waste your money here, extremely overpriced and can definitely find better value and service elsewhere.

I visited Michael Hill Chatswood Store to get my bangle size measured. While I was being served, I had Sales Manager Jeannette Doolan approach me and tell me that “we don’t do this here” and gesture for me to essentially leave the store. I found her attitude incredibly dismissive and rude given that she hadn’t even tried to understand what I was after. I asked “you don’t help your customers figure out their sizing? ” to which she went quiet and said nothing. I came back to the store later on and was told by her that she was too busy to serve me, whilst the shop was empty and I was the only customer there. She told me she only had time to serve if I would purchase jewellery and didn’t have time to help me with sizing. I have been to Michael Hill many times and purchased jewellery in the past. I would like Jeannette Doolan to know that building positive customer relations helps drive sales and contributes to the long term success of a business. I do not appreciate how I was treated in this instance. I felt disrespected and will not be returning. You have lost a valuable customer who has shopped at your store over many years.

My Fiancé bought me a white gold bracelet for my Birthday. Although it had been previously semi-repaired by the Warringah branch, it had new problems. The links had unraveled in two spots: one needed soldering, while the other had not broken completely, but needed soldering to prevent it from breaking too.
I was deeply disappointed when I discovered that after having the bracelet for 4 weeks, the jeweler had only managed to solder one section. To add to this, when I went to measure the bracelet, I found that it had lost 1cm of gold. Then, to top it off, I noticed that there was a new, sharp edge on one of the links in a totally different spot from the unraveled links. This was simply unacceptable and I now have serious doubts about the quality of service provided by MH.
*Update: I got the bracelet back - they corrected the sharp edge but still hadn't soldered the unravelling links. Its beyond a joke!
I took it up with their Customer service team online - who advised I take back into the store to be soldered! At this point it would've been easier to just replace it! I will be going to Fair trading.

I bought a gold bangle for a Christmas gift. The service was really good on the day but I didn’t realise she had sold me a faulty bangle as the clip was bent and didn’t work. It wasn’t cheap so upon returning it, they tried to come up with every reason under the sun not to refund it when it is clearly on their policy that they have to. Eventually was able to return it, but it’s made me question shopping there in the future.

I have shopped here many times. Every time has been a genuine pleasure. Sure I have had to wait sometimes to be served and yes there are delays for orders (due to Christmas etc).
However, these sales people are always working hard and doing best they can.
I have even been there once when they had rude, yelling customers. And yet they still do their job really well.

Awful experience.

The staff suggested me a size that was way too large for me at the time of purchasing and I had to go resize. Went to their store at 9: 30am and the store was still closed. 10 minutes later two people came in their casual clothes telling me they were sorry for being late and it would take them another 20 minutes to set up the store. Never seen a retailer like this. Very unprofessional.

Even worse, my husband’s was not ready after 10 weeks. Tried to call multiple times on different days and they never responded.

NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN

Served by Nazifa; she was very lovely and professional. I was looking for two silver chain necklaces, both specific lengths, and she went above and beyond to find different styles for me to try on until I was happy with both length and designs. The pricing was decent too. Overall a very wonderful experience, brilliant customer service, will definitely be coming back in the future.

Where has good old fashioned customer service gone out the window I say. What was a special occasion for me and my partner turned unpleasant and sour. Your staff need to up their service skills. To think that a store manger would try and brush us off and make an excuse as not serve their customer and pass us onto another staff member shame on you. It's unfortunate that in this instance your staff could not complete the end process and make it a happy one after our long wait to receive our item and hassle after hassle. Customer service at its poorest.

Terrible service and bogus return/exchange policy for earrings. My daughter was gifted small hoop earrings for her birthday which were too small to even fit her ear lobes - so completely unworn even and in the original packaging.we asked if we could exchange for a bigger size and told there is a no refund/exchange policy for earrings. I will never buy with them- please be warned.

Had waited 9 weeks for a ring that was ordered and to be resized, called them asking what’s happening.they said they will chase it up, never heard from them so called again then they said they will get back to us. My partner went into the store demanding an answer. They said they can’t find the find that was ordered so my partner gave them another ring he brought from them Just to get resized.they lost that too. My partner went in again to find out what happened they have no clue.don’t recommend going here.

If you are planning on returning something under “warranty” don’t bother. My chain broke in the first week of me having it just from me sleeping with it on. When I tried to claim my warranty they completely denied it and tried to make my pay for something new. I ended up using a pin to fix it my self but it’s still not the same. Terrible service. Don’t recommend.

We went here for my boyfriend to get sized so he could buy a ring from an online store. When we got there, the attendant asked if we were getting married (not yet!) but was very friendly and helpful, even with information regarding international sizing and how to convert:)

Back for an exchange/refund - had the displeasure of dealing with manager Shaun. Most recent reviews for him here are for purchasing, guess you don’t know a persons true character until they are put in a position where it does not benefit them. Arrogant and condescending, using phrases like ‘I don’t know you like that’ does not help the situation and only implies that you treat your customers preferentially.

Purchased a ring from this shop with the life time diamond warranty. Went back today to have a diamond replaced that had fallen out. I was served by a lady named Nasseran. When I presented the ring to her she immediately said sorry this ring wouldn't have life time diamond warranty. She was even reluctant to check if I had warranty on the ring.

After almost getting into an argument with this lady she finally checked and to her surprise I had life time warranty on the ring.

Now after discovering I in fact did have warranty. Nasseran laughed and said have you had this ring assessed every 6 months? I said No I wasn't made aware that I needed to. Nasseran laughed again and said sorry it won't be covered under warranty you need to have it checked every 6 month for life time warranty. Nasseran then said don't worry it's a cheap diamond it wouldn't cost much to replace. At this point I was very shocked and annoyed with her service.

•Firstly she dismissed I had warranty.
•Secondly she laughed I had warranty and I didn't have it checked every 6 months.
•Thirdly she said don't worry it's cheap and I can replace it at my own cost.

Didn't realise buying a $500 dollar ring reduced from $800 at the time was cheap.

Also since when do you need to have an iteam checked every 6 months in order to have valid warranty? Seem like a Con that I was never told I needed to bring the ring back every 6 months? I believe this is why she laughed because Nasseran knew this information isn't mentioned.

Found the staff really helpful. Especially Madeline who worked through a warranty claim with us, helpfully consulting with my girlfriend to choose a suitable bracelet to replace. She went above and beyond, a credit to your store.
