72 Beware! DO NOT USE! Fair Trading aware of many reports about MGM Martin. Of course the only positive reviews are from owners. If you’re considering renting with this company, make sure you read all the reviews from tenants that are sharing a similar experience. I was hesitant to post this, as they are likely to make life difficult for me but people need to know.
Had no power for 4 days after moving into property as a tenant. Couldn’t put together furniture or use any appliances. When we contacted MGM Martin we were given instructions on how to contact Energy Australia and set up an account (which didn’t address the issue). Turns out the circuit breaker in the building was off from the last tenant and 4 days later of back and forth MGM Martin finally figured it out. Zero compensation. Zero attention. Zero apology. We couldn’t even live in our apartment for nearly a week.
Property was not cleaned, wires hanging out of roof, doors don’t shut properly. We had to purchase our own steam cleaner and do the carpets because it stunk so much like cigarettes.
Issues have continued to plague the property from the day we moved in. Carpets were not cleaned, basic utilities broken and they’re still broken 2 months later. We’ve been unable live normally due to them. IF I’m able to get a response from MGM Martin, it’s 2 months later and it’s telling me that I’m wrong.
Condescending, rude and ignorant property managers who don’t care about tenants well-being. Nothing ever gets done. Expect to fix your own property repairs, pay excessive fees and be ignored at every turn.
Staff smoke cigarettes outside their office (below our apartment) while actively ignoring our emails, texts and calls regarding month old repairs. If you’re considering renting through MGM Martin, don’t.
Was inspired by the previous review. This company only cares about relationships with owners and treats tenants as sub-par beings to gouge money from. Don’t expect any bond back. Make sure you read the similar stories here that seem to have been drowned out amongst the offensive owner compliments.
Warning! Worst tenant experience on 20+ years of renting. Do not waste your time with MGM Martin. Do not give them any bond money, you will never get it back! They will not address any issue, ignore you and then when you have no choice to leave - hit you with thousands of dollars of bills. Taking my case to NCAT and fair trading. I used to believe it was just one or two inadequate staff, but after reading reviews it’s clear that it’s a systemic scam that runs deep within the company.
Simply THE BEST! Emine, Peter and the entire team at MGM are professional, reliable and realistic. Appreciate all the help and advice that they’ve provided - always in a timely fashion and listing all the benefits as well as caveats to ensure holistic decisions are made. We are so happy to have found them and would not want to take our business else where. Thank you!

Careful of the dude named Jonathan. He's got terrible reviews on here too.
I went for an inspection. He literally was on his phone the whole time, was answering his own calls and could not answer my questions, instead, was shuffling around his documents, being unsure of his answers. My 15 minute inspection turned into like 5 minutes because even before the inspection time ended, he kicked me out.
Not to mention, he was really cut-throat with anything I asked, and really tried to stop me from talking/asking a single question. I only got about 2 questions through. It really seemed like he just did not research the property well, and tried to avoid the questions as fast as he could aye.:)
Also he didn't know the area well. Told me I was in the wrong place & the wrong directions when I was already 5 metres from the apartment. This further delayed/cut time from my inspection.
MGM Martin has managed my property for almost 6 years. Even though my property manager has changed a few times, all of them do demonstrate their professionalism, and provide excellent services. Ahmad is my current property manager. He is willing to listen, keeping me informed, and also following up all necessary details. One of the best property managers to work with.
We interacted with Ahmad Darwich as our property manager for our Rhodes rental with MGM Martin. My husband and I found Ahmad extremely polite, helpful and transparent in his communications. Though tasked with the job of breaking the news of us needing to move out of our rental since owners were selling, Ahmad showed utmost maturity, empathy and respect while interacting with us. In our experience, this is a very rare skill in property managers, since they most often than not are caught between the owner and the renter and most often than not end up spoiling the renter experience. Ahmad, on the other hand, handled some not very easy conversations, with absolute professionalism which we deeply appreciated.
We would absolutely consider engaging with MGM Martin again in future for our buying/ renting needs, just because of the professional courtesy we experienced during our exit.
