Metro Realty went above and beyond to find a tenant for my unit. Considering the tough market due to current conditions, they, namely Tyler was tenacious is procuring the right tenant. He kept us informed during the whole process. An absolute pleasure to deal with and we have no hesitations in recommending Metro/Tyler to anyone wanting to rent or sell their property. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Metro are truly a professional company

Poor service. I have been trying to terminate my lease and they state I must submit formal notice. But will not advise how they accept formal notice. Be warned they have a lot of 1 stars for a reason. I chose to ignore them, I was wrong all 1 star reviews are true.

On the basis of Metro Realty's advice, when our fixed term tenancy was up last month, the landlord tried to raise our rent to the pre-Covid asking price (as Metro advised him that this was "market", despite the fact that the Sydney rental market right now is extremely tenant friendly and there is far more supply than demand, which means properties are sitting empty). We moved out and the property had to be advertised for the lower rent that we were already paying. Metro eventually had to reduce the asking price to $30pw less than we were paying (and $50pw less than the higher rent they tried to make us pay) in order to let the property. Even in the few short weeks that the property was empty, the landlord will have already lost more income than he would have if we had stayed at the passing rent. While Metro can only act on their client's instructions, a badly advised landlord will give its instructions accordingly.

Metro's property manager also felt that the email shown in these photos was appropriate to send at the start of the pandemic, when numerous people were worried about losing their livelihoods and a roof over their heads. An email of apology did follow, but this was clearly only in response to the negative response received to the email, not because Metro thought they had done anything wrong in sending it.

As a property owner, I would question whether an agency with this sort of judgment was really the best choice to manage my property.

Metro Realty took less than1 week to rent out one of the two units I placed with them. They took less than 2 weeks to rent out the other unit. This is fantastic results more so when the rent for both units are above ongoing market rate! Tyler did a fantastic job here. He did all the necessary checks as well as qualifying the potential tenants.

Metro Realty property management group is super responsive in replying to my queries. They are truly professionals as they knew exactly what is needed. Amanda & Patricia provide excellent advice, very efficient and are very helpful in resolving issues.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Teejay for the initial contact and all the initial follow up. Without Teejay, I would probably missed this wonderful real estate agency.

Thank You to Tee Jay & Tyler for efficiently and effectively getting tenant's for my apartment which had been vacant for month's, with previous agents not putting the right level of energy & awareness to get the result's.

They saw problems and solved them.

I look forward to dealing with Metro Realty in future proceeding's.

Many thanks to Tyler Morgan who I found to be professional honest and reliable during a testing time trying to move during covid. My situation was not straight forward as I was over seas when I found the property. Arrived back in Australia then had to do a further 14 days ISO interstate before I could return to Syd. I explained I could not personally make the inspection. Tyler was able to accommodate me and we organised a friend to view the property on my behalf. Tyler kept me in the loop the entire time. Tyler was able to negotiate price and navigate me throughout this challenging situation while in ISO. I found this transfer f property and transition made easy with Tyler. He worked hard to accommodate all parties for the best outcome. When I went to collect the keys on moving day I found the staff extremely friendly and very engaging. I felt very welcome and valued as a client. Im extremely satisfied signing a lease with Metro realty and highly recommend them. Tracey

I would like to thank Joseph for selling our investment apartment in World Tower. The sale was done during such uncertain times, it got done quickly and we are happy with the results. With everything going on, Metro took care of everything for my family. Joseph is a top bloke and we enjoyed working with him and his team. His rates and marketing fees were very fair compared to what's on the market

After approving our application for a 2-bed unit in Randwick, Metro Realty sold the unit before issuing the lease agreement. We were notified 1 week prior to the planned move in date that the lease fell through. This was after we paid the deposit and bond was lodged.

We were aware the apartment was for sale, however, we had an agreement with the owner at the time to rent the apartment. Metro could have mitigated this issue and requested the owner to execute the lease agreement immediately after we were approved and prior to the sale of the property. This would have given us at least 90 days protection under the Residential Tenancies Act.

Clearly, the contract for sale was prepared on the basis of a 'vacant possession' and we were used to entice the interest of both owner occupiers and investors.

The only saving grace is that our landlord allowed us to extend our current lease agreement.

Very disappointing and we hope Metro don't treat anyone like this. I've never left a negative review, but this situation it too infuriating to just let slide.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I now have a mistrust for rental agencies because of my experience with Metro Realty.

Metro Realty were poor from the very start of our tenancy right until we departed. They demonstrated a blatant disregard for their tenants' in a reckless pursuit to accommodate the owners of the property.

We moved into the property on a long weekend with our moving truck. We were informed by Metro Realty on move in day (as they handed us the keys) that they had not bothered to clean the apartment before we moved in. This was despite us signing the lease 6 weeks prior to the move-in date. The apartment was absolutely filthy. We requested that the apartment be cleaned before we moved in, but were told that they would not organise any cleaning until the end of the long weekend, 4 days later. The apartment was absolutely filthy and still had several discarded belongings throughout, left behind by the previous tenant.

They demonstrated their poorest behaviour during the peak of the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020. As Sydney was thrown into lockdown, due to the mass-spreading of the most dangerous Virus in 100 years, Metro Realty advised us that the owners intended to sell the property and would need to carry out physical inspections of the property. My partner and I were working from home at the time and were bound to remain at the property 24/7 due to the strict lockdown restrictions in place at the time.
I advised Metro Realty that we were not comfortable with allowing multiple strangers into our home during the pandemic; however, they advised us that it was their right to carry out inspections.

We agreed, as we were basically told that we had no other option. However, Metro Realty assured me that they would abide by the NSW Guidelines during all inspections. Guidelines included all people to wear masks, the agent to provide sanitizer and for no-one to touch anything when in the property. I was also advised that Metro Realty would provide signed waivers from the people inspecting stating they had not recently travelled overseas.

A couple of days before the first inspection, my partner fell ill and was obliged to get a Covid test. We informed Metro Realty and they insisted that there would be no problems going ahead with the inspection despite my partner waiting to find out if she contracted Covid and was in ISOLATION.

As it was lockdown, my partner and I could not go anywhere, so had to sit outside the property while the inspections happened. We watched as the Agent turned up without a mask; I asked him if he had hand sanitizer, which he did not. Then the people inspecting turned up and were also not requested by the agents to wear masks themselves. My partner and I watched through the window as the agent and the people inspecting touched doors, walls and furniture throughout the property.

I sent Metro Realty an email after the inspection, voicing my dismay that they had failed to abide by a single of the NSW Guidelines during the inspection. Their response was:

"While we as agents take precautions, we can not control the actions of other individuals we can only advise within our scope. I will remind you, also that the guidelines are as such - a guide. There are no laws and nor have we promised to wear masks or provide hand sanitiser. "

Obviously this response shocked me. Not only that they demonstrated that they have no regard for the health and safety of their tenants (which at some point I believed were also their customers), but also that they thought that Guidelines imposed by the NSW Government during a global pandemic are just a suggestion and not mandatory. I can only assume that they also believed that everyone in Sydney was choosing to stay at home during that time and that cafes, bars, clubs and retail stores has elected to shutdown on their own accord during that time - rather than being required to by law.

They could possibly be frauds. I ended up on their mailing list yet I've never had anything to do with them. I'd never even heard of them! Their website doesn't exist and their phone number is disconnected. Despite this, they're sending prospecting emails? ! Beware!

Joe and his team are diligent and consistent - open homes are on time and well organised
His team sets themselves apart with the quality of services offered - responses are timely and I was kept in the loop throughout the entire process.

After having done business with this bunch, I'll be happy to use them as my agent moving forward. What I look for in sales professionals is integrity, consistency, expert knowledge, open communication and this group ticked those boxes above the competition.
