Just wanted to share my experience with the real estate agency. Agent Michael Gleeson - I was interested in property, submitted by Enquiry via realestate app, later call and left few messages no response. Very unprofessional and not a good look for respectful agency

During my lease, myself and housemates contacted them several times relating to issues regarding water supply, ventilation, random tradesmen entering the property unannounced and not once did we hear back.

They also claim for the property to be recleaned at the end of lease and do not provide quotes for these charges.

I’m giving one star because I don’t have option to give them zero. McGrath Cronulla has the worst customer service I have seen in my life. They have a very good sales team, but once you are in, forget about any kind of support. If you consider to rent a place in Cronulla, do not go with them.

We moved to a brand new apartment in Woolooware Bay. Few things were missing and they took aaaaaaages to arrange it. During COVID, no negotiation about the price of the unit. They asked US to take pictures of every corner, space and wall in the apartment and send to them instead of sending someone there to do the inspection as usual, which we didn’t do because we are not their employees - then, they sent someone there. After the restrictions, we could not bring anyone from outside to visit us (all other apartments in Sydney could, not ours). Also, we couldn’t use the facilities, which was the main reason why we lived there - remember: I am talking about AFTER the restrictions. It was only fixed after we send them 4 emails regarding to this subject. They finally got in contact with the building management and we got an email saying that we could have visitors. So, at the end, they were actually hidden the information from us, or simply didnt care. To have our bond back or questions answered, my Flatmate had to ask them if we would need to get in touch with Fair trade. We got almost one month back, without any answers regarding to our emails. No apologies. Nothing at all.

So, my advice is: run away from this real estate.

Michael Viglianti was the agent handling our property. Michael was extremely professional and so helpful on so many levels. Our property was sold quickly and with minimum fuss.

Cannot speak highly enough of Mcgrath Cronulla - especially Carly - she's fab! I am renting a place I really love, and the dreaded 'moving in' process was seamless. As has been other bits and pieces that have popped up along the way. Highly recommend!

We sold our townhouse with McGrath but it was a case of "over promise / under deliver".
After following the "4 week McGrath Plan" we had ZERO people register to bid at auction. This caused us to become motivated sellers and had no choice but to sell for a lot less than we had all agreed on when we signed up.
I would recommend going with a smaller agency as opposed to a large franchise like McGrath.

We attended an open home hosted by McGrath. The two agents Michael Lloyd and Danna Etchells were approachable and happy to answer questions. However the woman working for McGrath that was taking names and phone numbers on the way in was rude, ignorant and dismissive. She looked past us when she was speaking with us and I actually left the open house feeling angry and upset by her treatment. I got the distinct impression that she thought we would be unable to afford the house and treated us very differently and spoke to us differently than the other clients. We attended three other open homes that morning and they were all amazing, this woman was rude and unprofessional. We are very interested in the property but the thought of dealing with people who treat clients in that manner would dissuade us. I have never left such a negative review but this behaviour toward prospective buyer truely deserved one.

In my experience, McGrath don't seem to care about their tenants and complaints fall on deaf ears. Hopefully I'll never have to deal with them again.

Nothing but trouble since this agency took over managing the property I was renting. I was evicted in the middle of a global pandemic as I was told that the owner wanted to sell the property. I was promised help in finding a new rental place but no real help was ever provided. I had to endure two Saturdays where strangers were wandering around my home as prospective buyers and the very rudimentary Covid safety plan that McGrath had was not even properly followed. In the end, the property was never actually listed for sale or marketed anywhere so I'm left questioning if this was for real or not.

The agency debited a weeks rent from my account on my last day in the property. Rent was fully paid up and I'd notified them that I was leaving so no debit should have been processed. A week to get this rent refunded! I was given no opportunity to be present for the final inspection and the owners and agents still couldn't provide clear details about any issues 4 weeks after I move out. I'm sure they were just trying to mess me around more and delay my bond refund.

What a terrible customer experience McGrath. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I am a landlord and I have had nothing but trouble with McGrath. Our tenant contacts them and we hear of their problem via e-mail, which I do not look at everyday. And even if I do see it before 5 on the day I received I can't contact them. We have an electrician that they could have contacted but they send me an e-mail. I am so annoyed.

I have been renting a property managed by McGrath Cronulla for nearly five years and I have always had the most professional, knowledgeable and reliable service, especially from my agent Carly. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my dealings with Mcgrath and they'll be my first choice when I own a property and require property management.

I've had a couple little things happen at the house I'm renting and they've been really outstanding in helping me get to the bottom of hassles really quick. Great customer service and communication, highly recommend.

I've never in my life dealt with a more incompetent management agency.
The managing agent (Tiana Mueller) continually neglects my repair request, fails to follow up on queries and will not answer phone calls after trying repeatedly. I've had to negotiate with onsite builders (which were not forwarned about during my tenancy) myself as McGraths cannot deliver answers on duration, impact on my own property or damages caused by said builders to my own property.

I would not recommend McGraths Cronulla to anyone, be it a landlord or a tennant

Update: I would also like to note the McGrath have not made contact as they claim below to find any solution to the issue,

McGrath Estate Agents Cronulla have been incredibly helpful, responsive and effective communicators. Throughout the entire process of making inquiries, inspections and application forms, McGrath have been supportive and helpful.
