My Alfa Romeo has been serviced by McCarroll’s Service Centre in Roseville since 2016. It’s always been serviced to high standard.
Recently, I took the car in without a booking due to an unexpected issue. A part turned out to be faulty. The part was still under warranty and was replaced at no charge (including labour) without hesitation!
- A safety check for rego.was also done promptly. The car was tested after all jobs were complete to ensure it was running safe and well again. All labour/parts were itemised on the invoice which is great for clear understanding of all jobs done.

-Giuseppe was my service advisor and has looked after my car previously for it’s annual service. Communication has always been polite and honest. Giuseppe has good mechanical knowledge of Alfa vehicles and explained the required job clearly.
He also ensured the job was completed in a timely manner, knowing that I needed the car back as quickly as possible.
When I collected my car it had been vacuumed and washed beautifully. An impressive and much appreciated touch, which added to the high standards of quality service.
I am very grateful to the technicians at McCarroll’s for servicing my car so well over the years. Most of all, many thanks to Giuseppe, a caring, knowledgeable and helpful service advisor. Great customer service all round!

EDIT: one year later and a lot changed since those heady days when all was Rosy at Roseville. Not any more!
I give credit where credit is due which explains my previous review, but that also goes both ways when it goes pear shaped.

Had the misfortune to catch them on a bad day the next time I went there, and judging by some of these reviews a bad day is just another day to Maccas.

Handed a perfectly good working car to them for one of the simplest tasks a mechanic can perform, a simple oil and filter change, raise the headlights a smidge, reset the counters, reset the service interval, FILL IN THE LOG BOOK and try and have the car back to me by 2pm, after handing it to them at 930am, which was an agreed time as I have quite a trek to get there from Wollongong.
Giuseppe, the new bloke from Mazda, was not very helpful at all, suffered from being argumentative and an attitude that the customer is always wrong. To top this off, as if that wasnt enough, the car was given to him to diagnose a very slow leak that as it turned out was caused the last time they touched the car. Brittle hose, heavy hand = breakage.
I was told I would need to spend about $1200 PLUS GST, to replace a coolant hose (which they previously broke and attempted an out of genuine parts repair) and tried to tell me that part had never been changed on that car - I will give him the benefit of the doubt based on his inability to navigate their service records because I was able to find an invoice where I had paid for that very part previously. I say benefit of the doubt as being over generous
Not only was he not able to complete even ONE of the tasks assigned to him, he also FAILED to inform me (THE CUSTOMER) what was not done.
Headlights are out of whack and the adjusting screw is threaded and unable to adjust properly, service interval counters were not reset, oil level was two notches down and was told professionally that they under fill so as to avoid overfilling - thats a new one. Log book was not even filled out.
Oil filter was later found to be loose and the hose that they touched whilst diagnosing split the very next day and I had to install a replacement transmission hose to get me going.
I am yet still to hear if the parts they ordered that they expect me to pay for have arrived, after 12 months still no word.
Request for an update was ignored.
I could delete my initial review but as I said credit where credit is due, I also said, that goes both ways

So good to find this Alfa Romeo expert centre, they fix all the small issues of my car that nobody was able to fix before, professionals, on time and very nice and expert staff, highly recommended

These guys are the worst - avoid at all cost - actually they may like that as working and customer service are not their thing.

They had my Jeep for the majority of a 7 month period and could not fix the problem. Cost me a fortune on hire cars & ubers as they couldn't spare a courtesy vehicle (7 MONTHS!).

They did however find "another problem" and charged over $1k to "fix" that. They then had the audacity to charge for a new battery, as ours went flat with the the car neglected and sitting out in the street collecting bird poo, still not getting fixed.

When I complained, they had every excuse under the sun - none valid or made any sense. The manager told me in front of his staff and other customers that "my problem was that I bought a Jeep". I'm sure his boss will love that.

Anyway, I eventually took the car to a local Auto Electrician in Gladesville who fixed the problem in just 2 hours and only charged $200.

Avoid these service centers if you can and your car is not under warranty. Especially McCarrols Roseville.

It's genuinely staggering how these guys are in business given the contempt with which they treat their customers.

Had a $1500 job done here and had to return because the problem wasn't fixed. I was made to sit at the back of the line, another two week wait to get the car in.

I dropped it off, told them I'd be overseas for the next five weeks so I'd only be reachable by email. I also left a phone number of a relative and my own mechanic.

Five weeks went by and I heard nothing from them at all. I came home and went in to see what was going on and was told they tried to call me (not sure that's even true, there was no voicemail left). They also said they had no email on file to contact me, despite having emailed me the quotes from the first time the car was in there.

They took no responsibility for the first job not being done right and told me I would have to pay $1500 again for the same job, still with no guarantee it would actually fix the problem.

I said you're essentially asking me to gamble another $1500 on a job that wasn't done right the first time around.

I could go much deeper into what happened but basically you just need to look through these reviews and disregard the ones that are obviously paid for. Their reputation is awful.

Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Not a wonderful experience at this dealership. My Jeep was in for a variety of smaller warranty items, many of which were intermittent. I didn’t expect a miracle with regards to replicating and repairing these items, but was underwhelmed with the explanations offered and refusing to cover one small item under warranty.

My main issue with this dealership is the location and operating hours. It’s in the middle of nowhere and closes at 5pm. They offer a courtesy bus to the station which I waited over 20mins for in the morning. The bus stops at closing time so if you have a job and can’t take the afternoon off to pick up your car before 5pm, you’re on your own, get ready for a long walk! In regards to after hours pickup, plan to take a spare key with you as there’s no lock box or similar available. I was advised that my key would be “left on the tyre” which I’m not at all comfortable with. If anyone is looking for a joyride - hit up this location after hours.

Decent overall.
- service was as expected. Not anything above or beyond to mention.
- was able to solve minor issues. For any additional request/information, there would be a straight No!
- staff is polite and interactive but totally clueless of service operations. Wont tell you the right information or be prompt to call you on delays.
- expensive. Boarderline case of cheer overcharging in some cases.
- waiting room and facilities and good. Free coffee, wifi, lounges, and courtesy busy to Chatswood station.

Very rarely leave reviews but my experience at the Mcarrolls JEEP service centre in Roseville was so terrible from start to finish. Communication was the worst I’ve come across. No communication that car wasn’t ready at their specified pick up time and when suggesting that a phone call takes a minute to inform people of this I was told they were too busy for this. I am sympathetic to this but also a call takes one minute and saves the customer 2 hours of their day. I was also incorrectly charged- with no one knowing about smartfleet despite them being a registered garage for this, made to pay for service that I already pay for essentially. To top it off they had no software to actually complete the service due to Wi-Fi issues so I have to take it back. I was told this right at the very end of the day. Total waste of almost a full day trying to get a service at this garage. After this service is finished I will most certainly not be returning. Everything is better with considered communication, it takes very little to communicate well. I do hope the staff take on board feedback to try to improve their service. If the communication was ok, nothing else would have seemed a problem and I would not be writing this review.

I recently had my first annual service carried out by McCarroll's in Roseville. The work done was only an oil/filter change so I can't really comment on the work done however I felt that the customer service was excellent, especially from Cassidy and Terry. Cassidy made sure that we were clear about what work was being done, what the cost would be, and what additional things I needed to have looked at. I received multiple calls with updates during the day and the car was completed and ready for collection before the agreed time. There was a courtesy bus with a friendly driver who dropped me at a nearby train station. Cassidy researched some optional work that I was interested in and booked another service slot and a loan car for me to make it happen. Service Manager Terry was great to talk with and my car was washed and vacuumed nicely as well and the whole experience was generally a good vibe. I usually don't continue using dealer service workshops after the first service but based on this interaction I will definitely be going back for my next service.

Edit: had a gremlin after changing battery and Grace booked me in for immediate help that day.

This is an impressive service garage but check your bill… they easily forget the propositions and shuffle working hours between requests to cover what not found but still charge for it!

I took my 2021 jeep wrangler rubicon with 32k km on it to this dealership.
The car gets serviced regularly (three times totally so far).
The last service was in late November 2022. After that, I’ve notice a very loud nocking noise coming from my left front tyre and the noise increases with acceleration. Yes, my left tyre was cupped (front left tyre). I showed the car to two mechanics in January and they said “the front left tyre is severely cupped and it seems it is faulty since other three tyres are in very good shape. It is very like that the tyre/wheel was not aligned properly and not rotated in previous service times, therefore it is cupped and needs to be replaced. ”

Long story short, I took my car to the dealership service centre late January this year, and they said “ that is cupping and it is normal and we can only rotate the tyres”. And now I still have that nocking noise but this time from the back and the car slips laterally when driving on a wet pavement on a rainy day. Not enjoyable and not safe.

Since i did not do anything wrong to the car and it’s probably either the dealer fault that they forgot to align the wheels and rotate them in the past services or it is the tyre that it’s faulty. For both causes, in my opinion and in the opinion of the other two mechanics, this tyre need to be replaced.

The team working at this dealership are really kind and respectful but the service I got for this issue is not acceptable for a brand new car.

Don’t get your Fiat serviced here. They don’t know S of service. Giseppe doesn’t know what service is. They had my car 2 days and they did not fix the problem it was brought in for. They gave the car back to me not fixed. How disgusting. Who is running their car repairs some clowns. Giseppe was a clown. He lied to me said that he was 100% sure car was fixed when it wasn’t. On top of that he had no understanding of my disability as I had a moon booth on and expected me to walk up a steep hill with a moon booth and a crutch. He told me taxis don’t come down the hill. When I asked the taxi driver he told me that was not so. So Lies lies. Conveniently when I brought the car back on Monday to be fixed he had taken a sickie. Furthermore they charged me $289 for diagnosing a problem I told him what the problem was and that they had created it when they put the air con gas in.
REAL RIP OFF MERCHANTS!
DONT GO THERE TO SERVICE YOUR CAR

Price for services was cheaper than expected, far cheaper actually which was not the expectation for a dealership. Quality of service was not affected.
Commuting back home for the duration of the service was not possible due to distance, however the lounge was quite suitable for longer waits, and had appropriate amenities available for use.
Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Happy to know my Alfa is in good hands here.

Quite simply the worst display of incompetence, paired with terrible communication, and an inability to provide customer service. If I could leave zero stars I would.
Without boring everyone on the details, they were inable to replicate a very obvious issue which occured within 1 minute of me picking the vehicle up and continues to occur on a regular basis. I had explained the issue very clearly, which either fell on deaf ears or wasn't communicated to the technician. I wonder whether they even tried.
Infuriating experience, would never recommend anyone take their vehicle here for a service.

I personally encountered the most friendly and helpful staff at McCarrolls. Giuseppe was the most amazing service advisor and was able to assist me in a friendly manner whilst my vehicle had numerous issues. He was prompt, professional, understanding and extremely knowledgeable. I was extremely happy that they were able to assist me and I got my car back in the best condition.

Always professional. Clear about costs up front, flexible and friendly staff. Provide shuttle to the station/bus. Customer lounge is nice with coffee machine. They are also providing car wash services again.

I only took a point off for their receptionist not giving me the right address of the service centre.
4 points for the only Jeep service centre that is competant in servicing a jeep. Their competitors in Chullora and Rosehill are incompetant.

Very poor service overall.
Even if you drop your car early in the morning, they are very late to deliver it. I believe they are prioritizing fancy cars.
You will always need to battle with the service to shopping mall. They never answer the calls. They charge higher than other authorized mechanics.
Although I got my car serviced here 2 times over the last 2 years, only 3 weeks after my last service the car battery died and I couldn't move my car. When I called them for this, they were not helpful and almost had a rude attitude.
Will never use their service again and don't recommend this place to anyone.

Very unprofessional. I took my jeep for service there, they forgot to do some of them, had to take it again but same thing happened. 2 month later they called and asked me my car is due for routine Service. Compare to other places they are very expensive.
