Marsupial Park reviews
55TCC should be proud of maintaining this site along with the volunteers! Amazing for the kids. Great visit for a 30Min stop or a few hours.
A not very big park, with several cages for birds and marsupial. The “sad” part of it was that there weren’t many people in there, it was quite empty. The highlight has been interacting with parrots, “speaking” with them and listening to their words
Amazing wildlife park in Tamworth.
Really nice setting in the forested Hills.
Lots of local Australian mammals animals including: emus, wallabies, wallaroos, guinea pigs, kangaroos,
And lots of native birds including cockatoos, major Mitchell cockatoos, black cockatoos, parots, cassowary, and peacocks.
Huge childrend playground, and lots of picnic tables nestled amongst the trees and bushes.
And its free!
Will definitely return and highlight of Tamworth!
It was amazing with free entry, The kids enjoyed it and had a nice time looking at the animals.
Great place to see an Emu, you can hear them as you walk through the entry gate. Cool sound. So nice with all the trees and huge walk in cages.
Fantastic playground, great walks/hikes that the kids (3 and 6) loved and they love seeing the animals.
Play ground, bbq area, short (30 return) walking tracks and a mini zoo in one place. Free entry. Plenty of seating areas. Short walk to botanical garden.
We love this place! Free entry, and the best children's playground I've ever seen.
The animals are well cared for also.
Perfect place for a free family day out in Tamworth.
Great place to spend the day with the kids, includes BBQ and picnic areas as well as a playground including a mini zip line
Such a beautiful and fun park! So many beautiful birds and animals, great kids play areas, super clean and shaded BBQ areas and it's all FREE! This was one of the best features of living in Tamworth for a few months.
Excellent play ground for kids. Could do with a cafe. Some animals signs are not realistic (possums during the day)
The family and I found the self-guided tour of the 14-hectare Marsupial Park to be amazing. The Marsupial Park boasts a walk-in aviary, as well as up close encounters with Kangaroos, Wallabies, Cockatoos, and Emus.
A great spot to visit if you enjoy nature and wildlife. Entry is free, you’ll come across kangaroos, emus, peacocks, and more, plus many birds – especially in the giant walk-in aviary. There’s seats and tables where you can sit and enjoy the sights and sounds, and several walking trails. Although the park isn’t completely wheel chair accessible, it’s still possible to see quite a few areas (for some of them, like the kangaroo habitat and the bird aviary, there are heavy doors which might need assistance to open).
Well worth a visit and it's free. Great kids playground and really enjoyed the massive walk in bird aviary and getting up and close to the wallabies. Plenty of little area where you can just sit and rest. Worth a walk to lookout and botanical Gardens as well.
Great work volunteers
This is a perfect place to take the children's in! Absolutely recommended, the playground is one of the best we have been visiting with our kids!
Marsupial Park Tamworth
Love it Love it Love it, what a great place to go to with coffee & chill out with the birds, & their is a playground for the kids & you can also have picnics there as well.
Excellent wildlife park with an aviary, lots of cockatoos, emus, kanagaroos, peacocks and more. A very nice option to spend a few hours in Tamworth
This is a crate place to see some animals and I can not believe it’s free
Had a great time
The park is very well maintained by volunteers. We were able to see emus, kangaroos, wallabies, and several birds in the aviary. Free entry.
Found this by searching the Tamworth area. Took a 13 and 15 year old. They loved it. Simple check in at gate - Walk around at your own pace.
ITS FREE!
The enclosures are very clean and all the animals are well looked after and not bothered by visitors- It was VERY HOT today, sprinklers going, clean water in enclosure's and fresh fruits and greens in all the enclosure's.
Mere minutes from town, heaps of parking. No kiosk, so take snacks, heaps of BBQ tables and benches. Lots of shaded areas. There was water (Drinking Fountain) and you can re-fill bottles. Wear reasonable footwear, as there is some walking.
