Lambton Pool reviews
65Wonderful pool experience. Well priced with great facilities for all ages including multiple pools a waterside and kids water play area. Canteen sells excellent hot chips that are cooked perfectly. Deck chairs available and changing rooms excellent with hot showers.
Great pool for kids.
They have 4 separate pools, a big water slide, as well as a smaller waterslide in a water park. Lifeguards were really good with kids.
They have a canteen, which we bought chips from. They were a little expensive, but nice to eat.
Warm water for showering is free of charge.
Would give 5 stars, but we were told as we missed the hourly waterslide pass, we would have to wait until the next hour starts. We would have been happy to pay the full price for only half an hour, but we're told this explicitly is not an option.
Great pool. It has a splash park, slide, diving pool, 50m and toddler pools. Canteen's not too expensive and there's shaded areas to sit - stands and grass area. Staff are friendly and efficient. Plenty of lifeguards as backups.
It gets really busy in summer but as the seasons begin to change it gets less so. Parking is pretty good but bring thongs as the gravel and bindis are painful!
Nice 9 lane pool with a dive pool and well. Waterslide not tried. Was there for an event however was still open to public.
Nice pools great for kids.but the slide is just poorly operated be prepared for a long wait. Dont buy the hourly passes.
Edit - i spoke with management and i am completely satisfied by the response and sense of urgency to want to do something to make the experience better
Caters for swimmers of all ages and at all levels! An Olympic sized pool, water park and water slide (sadly costs $$ to use the slide) are loads of fun for the whole family.
Excellent facilities and always well staffed.one of the best pools in the local area.it has a full size 50metre pool, a diving pool, a 25metre pool that is relatively shallow, a toddler pool, a splash zone for kids and a decent waterslide.there's plenty of seating and shaded areas available a kiosk that serves some good food at decent prices.
One of the best pools in Newcastle.
Great slide and pool facilities.
Really great kiosk too, would have to be some of the best hot chips around the area I think surprisingly, but always get them with chicken salt
Get places for kids and adults alike! Waterslide, water park and three pools! What more could you want!
It's school holidays, so why was the inflatable obstacle course being taken down at 11: 30? Kids were very disappointed. The lack of doors on change rooms is also very inconvenient, especially when people are using the limited toilet cubicles in order to get some privacy. Pretty easy fix yet it's been this way for years.
Great place! Great staff and great food! Definitely reccomend and definitely will be returning soon!
I went to Lambton pool recently to buy a pool pass for the first time. The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable and helped me make a decision on choosing the correct pass to purchase. Great work.
Good venue with lots of pools for different ages, and lots of room to set up a picnic mat under the shade of the trees. Not too crowded, but hard to find a park regardless. Starting to show its age, with paint peeling and tiles very old-school, but ok. Clean, lots of staff.
Good but people aren't being covid safe.there doesn't seem to be any authority making them either
What a great place! Clean, spacious and affordable. I am from Newcastle originally and had never been to Lambton Pool until December 2020. Can't believe I missed all those years of taking my kids there. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back when I next visit Newcastle.
What a fantastic pool. Huge. Had a lane to myself for most of the swim. Not overly chlorinated either.
Not a very good experience, staff were very rude, asked when the slide would be open and got the response " I dunno it's broken" as he was walking away he didn't stop to reply nicely. Also there was only one lane we could swim in untill more people showed up and they opened in to 2 lanes, the other diving pool was closed due to a sport, opened it for 5 minutes before the teams showed up, the kids pool was open for Abit then closed off with lanes, the only thing there really is the kids playground. Such a dissapoinment. I remember it being the best pool as a kid.
Perfect place to come on a hot day!
There is plenty of swimming areas - 2 young kid friendly pools, a lap pool and a diving pool.
I’ve been here twice now and I’m itching to come back!
B/W photos of me 50 ys ago in the toddler pool.
LAMBTON pools been part of my life. From underwater tea parties with friends to school carnival
Victories at freestyle. Hot chips, frozen icey cups,
Long hot showers, shiny chlorine affected hair.
Some of the things over years have changed, however
my love of going swimming here hasn’t.
Still can’t touch the bottom of the diving pool!
Haven’t jumped off top tower yet!
Roses out front garden are splendid to see and smell.
Now that I am older I still young at heart in the water.
Average, however the canteen is quite overpriced. Waiting 2 hours for hot chips is not enjoyable and I had to buy two small colas (again, very pricey to get drinks) while waiting. Get more employees to man the kiosk.
