44 My experience has been terrible at this place. It's a long story.and a terrible waste of money.
Firstly I was quoted a deal for a phone and was asked and answered all the questions and was told I qualified to move my Telstra plan that expired more than a year ago to and upgraded plan for the s21 ultra.
I was told I'd need a screen protector and I asked for a case that's shock proof with bumper screen protection. And also a fast charger as the s21 ultra didn't come with one. I agreed and picked out the phone, and has all the accessories selected by the Staff member. Everything was ready to go.phones, accessories, 12 month contract plan.after 1 hour! Then the manager came around and said I didn't qualify for the plan as I was an existing customer! Far out!
So the next plan was over $300 more for less! I was shocked. So I went to Telstra and got an even cheaper plan with triple the data and the s21 and with NO contract! True! Massive savings 180GIG a month for less than the lock in contract with 1/3 of the data! I went back to JB who said they'd match the plan but I'd to wait for the phone by post and that I'd also have wait if I got the phone with Telstra shop by the manager himself Daniel. I just went back to Telstra and got the phone immediately, it wasn't true.
I had been repeatedly misled by JB Chatswood. Anyway I got the accessories which they said they'd provide at "cost". The discount was maybe 10% from about $120 to $110 as an apology. Ridiculous! But it gets worse!
The case is the UAG s21 ultra which does not have a lip or bumper protection for the screen, just for the corners! I spent $55 for it.and had to buy another one "survivor" which actually had the bumper protection. I got this elsewhere for 50% off as I patronise the shop so it was $25.funny thing is I've spent more in JB who gave me 10% off as a sorry.
Next the screen protector.well the s21 ultra already comes with one. But the JB staff who said it didn't was wrong and when I applied it over the top, it did contact properly. I took it to a phone place in the mall who said it was ruined and why did I apply it over the existing one? Another $40 wasted.
Now here's the kicker. I felt the passive aggressive attitude and patronising undercurrent by the manager who gave a 10% discount saying "it's a great deal" over wasting my time and repeatedly misleading me. There's even more too.anyway, my point is avoid the store. I have no time for the manager Daniel and would be far more disparaging if I weren't a better man.
In the end I pulled my patronage from this store completely.
30-July-2017, Sunday 5pm. It was either very busy or seriously understaffed. I waited about half an hour for a staff member to come help purchase a pixel phone. (-2 stars) I recommend that jbhifi does not test the patience of customers that intend to spend close to $1,000.
I didn’t like the worker behaviour who has glasses long hair guy around drones section, I come there to find problem’s solution about my drone today, he never tried to help me and talked to rude and then I decided to give back what I bought before and never go there again. Big mistake to buy from there!
I purchased a TV from here, 32 days later they had a sale and the same TV was $500 cheaper. I went in about something else and mentioned it. The sales rep stated there was a 30 day return policy which would allow me to get a refund based on if I had returned the TV. The sales rep approached the manager and the manager refunded me the $500, which they obviously didn't need to do. Good work JB hifi. You have my business going forward
Staff not trained, no idea about products, 0 support and you have to be beging for one person to help you.
Great staff very friendly and wasnt to pushy on selling things i dont need, i brought the new gopro as a result of a incident at bondi beach and he gpt the i didnt need any extras as i already had them
Great customer service. I really appreciate the help from one of the female shopping assistants when we were deciding which laptop to buy. She explained us in a language for "computer dummies" which technical parameters we have to look at and helped us to choose the best option within our budget. She is very professional.
My card wasn't working their eftpos machines and the lady was very rude towards me and refused to give me cash refund even though it was their machine that wasn't working.
The layout of the store was big, but made sense, and was easy to find all of the departments and products.
The employees had amazing manners and respect, and I had a really good chat with a few of the workers there:)
It was what being in a JB HI-FI should feel like everytime.
The store was also very clean and hygienic:)
Staff appear to busy to assist. Especially with music cd. Categories are hard to work out so you need a staff member to find what you want unless it is top ten. I usually give up.
They have a good selection of products, the store is set out well and the staff is happy to help you with any queries.
Poor experience.staff seemed very uninterested in helping or serving customers. Used to have excellent service.
I bought internet through them last week and had massive issues getting connected. Telstra wanted to charge me $240+ for a technician (after having given them photos of the problem). The representative at JB Hi-Fi was able to help me instead based on the pictures I showed him (wish I'd caught his name, he was very helpful and knowledgeable). All I needed was a $10 part that I could install myself. Will definitely be back!
JB went from a great store offering good discounts when it first was starting out to a store full of pretentious and rude employees who care more and what they did last night than serving customers. Gone are the days the employees know what the products actually cost in the store they work they have to look it up on their PDAs and tell you they are offering you a discount when their website has the same price they are telling you.
Large store, when I finally got to speak with someone they were helpful however rushing because they don't have enough staff.
Walked in 'just looking' at the new Galaxy watch and the salesperson was very helpful.and obviously good as I walked out with a new watch.
This guys think all costumers are a potential thief.more cameras less cheking the bags.we are in to buy guys not to take for free
Staff are attentive and make sure you're able to find everything you need. Having a layout that is sectioned and easy to browse definitely helps with that.
Waited 30 minute by the laptops, clearly needing help.nothing I asked one worker who was more interested in his phone a question about price matching and he was very rude and uninterested. I still wanted to buy the laptop regardless.asked at the till for someone to help and waited another 5 minutes nothing.with plenty of staff hanging around and chatting. I left and will purchase my $2000 laptop elsewhere.
